Yes, people be running them, but have to keep in mind that R1 wont warranty the ESC if it fries after running a 3.0, so you have to be mindful of you data, and make sure you never make a hit with too low a pack charger, lower the pack charge more risk of low voltage causing too high an amp load

Boost just adds end Bell timing .. I love this ESC that works great been 2.33 at 69 so far

To start yes, get a couple hits in and then turn it down a bit watching data.

@@nolimitrc1 nah, I really don't think it will last, 4.5 even pushing it a bit. The thing is stout but things can go sideways fast
So do you have to get the wireless adapter to program the esc? That's what it looks like on r1 site or maybe I read it wrong.

What's your thoughts on the r1 vs the drk?
The R1 has proven itself to 100% make more power than a drk while using the same motor on both escs.
