For anyone who may be watching this video I’d like to share with you the work that we’ve done is years in the making. We’ve actually been doing this style 2021. This is years of development that we are now bringing to the public for free. I have attached two images that are screenshots with the date that they were recorded and you can clearly see the date 2021 . We’ve been making these videos privately, Supporting, racers and customers for several years, but we have now made the decision that we were going to bring this to everyone for free. Our goal is to help. Everyone do better at the sport and have better success. This way the competition is better and we can all go faster together. The image is below are from a HOBBYWING XR10 pro, that was used for no prep drag racing. This was a very popular Speed controller, especially at the beginning of no prep drag racing.
This has been the best video hands down I have watched for getting an understanding for tuning. I am just starting and have asked several times for the data you referred to but no response. I have R1 540 4 pole and their DC1 kit. Would you have any data I could use? FDR, RPM range?
Great information, we need more of this in the NPRC area. I got a little careless soldering my beautiful 8 gauge wire, modded R1 esc, had my motor wires flipped and fried the esc =( Is it fixable?
I don’t think you will be able to fix it on a different note, More to come, join our community on Facebook for free information that no one else will share. facebook.com/groups/1070789810815326/?ref=share_group_link
I believe I did my best to explain this in the video Turbo is the name we give to dynamic timing that is activated by a full throttle trigger. Once that trigger is met if there is an additional qualifier such as turbo delay, then that will be taken into account before the Turbo timing will start to be applied. One thing to note that there are some companies that will have a R qualifier for Turbo, and sometimes throttle and RPM qualifiers. This is very brand specific and only a few brands but in general, Turbo is the name of timing that is applied when the radio signal reaches 100%.
I see you are using an RPX2, the PRO4 is physically the same hardware as the R1. I started playing with it for about 3 months but have an issue when try to apply timing. It's like the esc don't like 4 poles. I got slower with timing. My best w/o timing is 1.61. have you tried to use the PRO4 esc?
Quick question on the R1 board. The cat pack has holes to solder To , on the yokimo, there's no holes on the board. Where do you like to put the cat pack wires? Thank you?
What would be the best Yokomo to buy that replaces the R1. I see you have the Yokomo RPX-II but it looks like there is a newer RPX-3 now. Would that one be a little better? Also if I had a R1 esc would a Yokomo wifi module work with it or would a R1 wifi module work with a Yokomo esc? I really like the Yokomo comes unsoldered! Those R1's can be ugly to unsolder Thanks!
Well, that's a difficult question because it is dependent on a few variables. Our motors sold through us receive a support package (complimentary) and they go out preset depending on the needs of the client. A good general starting point, not knowing anything about your needs will be 15-20 deg of actual timing measured on a professional tool. If you don't have a quality tool, then knock the can marks back 5 deg. That should be safe as most motors are preset to about 30 deg from the manufactures, but not all, so 5 deg of timing marks is safe. For more information on motor timing visit our website blog section for technical articles that should help you. rcstreetwars.com/blog
Thank you for your question a little bit more information would be needed. Is this before you apply brakes, after you apply brakes are you actually able to complete a run and then run into a scenario where your car flips or crashes?
Hey Brother I am wondering if you can help me I changed my password on my R1-WURKS WI-FI ADAPTER MODULE and I forgot it is there any way that I can do some kind of reset on it or be able to reset it to default password of 1234567890 to get me back into my ESC Thank You Brother for any kind of help you can give me and God Bless ✝️ Sincerely Clay B.
@@jasoncb0983 Thank You Brother for the info on it and yeah I found out that you can't reset it but God Blessed me by letting me figure out my password for it and man it was a big relief cuz I didn't want to have to buy another one for almost $60.00 LOL HA HA HA HA HA HA HA 😆 GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER ✝️ SINCERELY CLAY B. & SPEED MOB RACING 🏁

I would be happy to help you can you just go to my website and message me through there?
Is this for good for 2 pole or 4 pole. The 10 and 10 dry tire boost and throttle tune?
4 pole, and auto throttle for “base”
For 2 pole (Boost / Turbo) X2

Thank you simply Thank you!!
Thank you I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you found it useful
Is the Yokomo RPX 2 drift the same as the R1 in your Shop i don't find the esc and you shipping it do Europa Austria nice day
Yes, it is the same as the R1,
I am totally out of stock, but I’m getting more in and I ship and service worldwide
I was under the impression that turbo only starts after the e s c throttle is at a 100%. With no Turbo delay.

@@RCstreetwars No Gary, you did a great job. I just wanted to make sure I did understand and thank you.
Thanks for doing this
No problem

I have not tried the PRO4 esc, send us a msg through the website and maybe I can help you further.
Hi Great video for newby like me to yokomo/r1. What is the tablet you are using to program?
iPad Air 2, thank you. I hope this video helps you out. Please ask any questions.
Recommend the newer rpx3 for drag?
Quick question on the R1 board. The cat pack has holes to solder To , on the yokimo, there's no holes on the board. Where do you like to put the cat pack wires? Thank you?
I add it on top of the + & - leads.
@@RCstreetwars would it be a problem if I solder it on the underside of the board on those solder tabs
@powermadracing5116
it would be just fine to do that, just don’t de-solder the cup from the board.
@@RCstreetwars thank you Gary I appreciate it man have a great day thank you for turning me on to this ESC

RPX II is what you want, the “Racing “ version
RPX II Is what you want “racing “ version
Hi Question: Do you use stock Cap Pack with Yokomo RPX2 esc?
Yes stock cap
What do you set your can timing at?

Asome how you buy the Yokomo Esc
Hello, msg is at info@rcstreetwars.com
Question about acceleration is 10 the highest or lowest?
10 is the Highest
Is the yokomo the Same a the R1
Yes, 100% but a little better in my experience. I explain it in the first few minutes of the video.
My car flips at the finish line when I let go of the throttle. Any ideas why as far as tuning? My drag brake is off.
@playmoremuzik couple of things to look at is ur body that will cause that to happen how strong is ur brakes in the remote
Also, I haven’t put on a spoiler yet but ordered one for Christmas
