What I like to do when rebuilding my diff, is grab the diff fluid and put it in really hot water while I'm taking out my transmission. Then it'll come out of the jar or tube much easier, also as I'm putting it into the differential I am running my heat gun not only does it warm up the metal but it'll temporarily make the fluid flow a little easier.. I fill the diff & hit it with the heat gun for about a minute and a half let it sit and add more if needed.
Man. Great ideas. That’s why I love it when people leave good comments. I’ll make sure to bring this up and credit you in the next tranny video!! Thanks a lot
@@Dorkyand40 that's what the community is about a little help here a little tip there..
The irony of this video was I got the notification while cussing 1 million diff fluid for my box stock. Great video as always ! -Setty
The pain and misery of diff fluid lol. Appreciate it brother
What app do you use to see your speed and times? I keep seeing it in your test run videos. Just getting into no prep myself
It is the sky rc gnss app that is used with the gnss gps device
Do you get better traction with the thinner diff oil
No. Thicker seems way more consistent but there’s not a proven need to go much thicker then say 500k. It also will break down. It will be a little thinner in the summer too. My cars all worked better when I moved from 200 to 500
I'm very new to the NPRC ( NOOB LVL1) 🤣 I just got the losi 22s 68' Ford...I have a custom built by me Infraction I plan on doing 140mph plus
Nice man. Enjoy it!
What do you use to switch between cameras?
Stream deck
@@Dorkyand40 Thanks
Stop waiting on the weather head to Lancaster oh. And run the indoor track
Ah. No interest. Looks fun but nah in indoor drag races.
Why not run a spool?
You using stock bearing’s in the gearbox??
yeah man im not going to pretend to be fast enough to push a $100 bearing set..if i had some i would throw some nice ones in there but i plan on doing a lot more maintain this year then last so theyll be checked. am i losing a bit..maybe?? hard to quantify it with hard data..which is what i want to see
@@Dorkyand40 Gotcha! Makes sense. I only ask because I just swapped to ceramics. My spare trans doesn’t have them, and it’s a MASSIVE difference in how freely it spins. I also stopped putting grease on the gears, talked to a couple fast guys, and they talked about having no stick between the gears. I’m using graphite dust, with a few drops of 3in1 oil. Between the two, it’s a night and day difference!
Yeah use some speed secrets bearing oil. If the budget allows it then yeah for sure man go for it. I know where I stand in this race circuit so Ont trying to keep it real and save some cash. I spent a lot last year for very little gains. It’s all about the surface and the prep game.
@@Dorkyand40 100% agree. I pride myself in not getting wrapped up in the FB GNSS posts. I race my surface, my car, my tune.
Leave the washers out. You don't need them
Tuning option? Good to know thank
