    Eat less carbs, higher protein, minimize sugar intake. Intermittent fasting. Give it a few months you will see big difference in how you feel. High carb causes PCOS. My neighbor can't get pregnant because of PCOS. She has admitted a sugar addiction.

      Well, she said one thing is insulin prevents conversion of testosterone. Which leads us to infer that lowering insulin by way of some of her messages (managing glucose levels) could help. Also, i don't ever remember she has advocated for it but fasting, or low carb diets should be powerful tools for it.

    Not all PCOS is insulin resistance related, though. The root cause of PCOS is thought to be genetic. There are atleast 4 different kinds of PCOS and while a tendency to gain weight can be a sympton to PCOS and the disease can predispose you to Diabetes, it is not entirely treatable by this method. For people with non insulin resistant pcos cutting out sugar, taking inositol or metformin or other drugs does not cut it. This is important information.

      @manyakoopal-gx4zs you can get help from your Gyno and Endo on that. I have personally taken Metformin and did not respond, I never got my periods, nothing changed except needing to be hospitalized from how sick it made me. Idk if this is how everyone who doesn't have insulin resistance PCOS reacts to that medication but I know I'm not the only one.

      PCOS is complex, there are so many things out of balance. It calls for a complete change in environment, people, stress, diet, exercise every single day and so much more, such as sleeping at the same time. It calls for a complete change in environment... which means move away and start afresh, downsize, etc.

    • @dahka2881
      @dahka2881 7 місяців тому +1

      You can't get testosterone, or any other hormone directly from food, it would be digested before getting to the bloodstream like the other proteins.
      You need a normal balanced diet with enough exercise and rest, then your testosterone levels will rise.
      You can try incorporating more onions, fatty fish, spinach, eggs and broccoli to your diet, but food only gives you the building blocks, it's not enough.

      @@janetwood4967
      The very important question to answer is this:
      "Why is my body having trouble turning testosterone into estrogens?"
      The main answer is that your body is not converting testosterone into estrogens *_because you have high insulin._*
      The key thing to understand is that insulin *_DIRECTLY_* impacts (1) how much testosterone is made, AND (2) how much testosterone is being converted into estrogen.
      So, if your insulin levels are high (a.k.a. out of balance), then your testosterone and estrogens will also be out of balance.
      In other words, you think you have a testosterone and estrogen problem, but really you have an insulin problem that is causing testosterone and estrogen problems.
      Think of it like this:
      You come home to see that the pot of food you left on the stove is smoking.
      What is the problem:
      1) The food is burnt
      2) The fire under the pot was left on
      In this case, what happens if you only change out the food in the pot, but leave the fire on?
      Will that *_REALLY_* solve your problem, or will you end up with more burnt food?
      In your case, the "burnt food" is your testosterone and estrogen levels -- they are all messed up.
      *_insulin_* is "fire" that is "burning" your testosterone and estrogen -- insulin always being high is what is making your testosterone and insulin unbalanced.
      So, will "working on" your testosterone and estrogen solve your problem?
      No -- because your insulin is still high, anything you do to fix your testosterone and estrogen is only temporary.
      In other words, until you fix your insulin problems, it will eventually undo any progress you make with your testosterone and estrogen balance.
      To stop burning your food, you must adjust the heat, not simply replace the food in the pot.
      To stop having testosterone and estrogen problems, you must adjust your insulin levels, not simply treat your testosterone and estrogen levels.
      If you don't fix your insulin, you will be battling unbalanced hormones for the rest of your life -- you must treat the source of the problem which is insulin if you want a permanent healing.
      I hope this helps.
      A note about your diabetes:
      Diabetes is literally just the result of having high insulin levels for a long time.
      What happens is that because your insulin levels are high all the time, your cells stop responding to insulin properly. This results in all the symptoms of diabetes.
      It's similar to drinking coffee or alcohol, or smoking -- the more you expose your body to caffeine, alcohol, or nicotine, the more your body will build up a tolerance for it.
      This means you will need more and more caffeine to get the same effects -- you have developed "caffeine resistance"
      Same with insulin -- the more and more you expose your body to insulin, the more it builds up a tolerance for insulin; you develop insulin resistance.
      So, if you fix your insulin problem, you will fix your diabetes *_AND_* your PCOS symptoms at the same time because insulin is the source of both of those conditions.
      I am happy to explain more, or answer questions, or address concerns.

  • @merii9313
    @merii9313 8 місяців тому

    Does this also apply to men? If the insulin level is too high that the excess testosterone cannot be converted into oestrogen? As far as I know, men with excess testosterone often suffer from hair loss because their body convert the excess into oestrogen. Consequently, this would not happen to men with consistently high insulin levels (and too much testosterone) right?

    • @railgungd
      @railgungd 3 місяці тому

      No actually, in men insulin decreases testosterone, men losing their hair has a hormonal factor where a conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone occurs naturally, and some follicles have an enzyme sensible to this hormone. for us its the opposite, we need to eat less sugars to have more testosterone

    I always have chia pudding in the morning.
    So it contains cow milk, cinnamon and unsweetened cocoa powder and ofc, chia seeds. Now since this doesn't have any sugar, i put mashed banana in it.
    Please lemme know glucose goddess if you approve of my breakfast 🙏

      No, *_ALL_* sugars contribute to PCOS.
      Remember, all carbohydrates digest into sugars.
      There are no "healthy" or "unhealthy" carbs - they are neutral. If you eat too many, they will cause problems. If you don't eat too many, you won't have problems.
