Yes! Love Chris! You just have to check out this song Live at the Troubadour. Just him and a piano and will blow your mind. My favorite vocal performance of his EVER!!!
Chris sings my life story in almost every song he wrote. He has the gift of healing. Pulled me out of dark places. He is in my heart forever. Thank you for your genuine reaction to a Master. Chris was a blues man. ♥️☮️🦋
One of the things I love the most about this song, is how openly he expressed himself. A lot of Chris's music is hidden in enigmatic stories and euphemisms. He really just puts his immediate thoughts out, and I truly think that's beautiful. Chris will always be greatest performer and lyricist in my eyes, while there might be some more talented (objectively) in one area or another, I truly feel like Chris incapsulated it all very well. His more depression based music is the only music that I (personally) feel like captures the heartache of not knowing how to feel. No one sings like him anymore
Seen Chris four times live and he was such a force. Sad to think that he is no longer with us but we will always have him on record and thankful he was a busy guy. R.I.P. Chris Cornell..,
I saw him perform this at the Albert Hall in London, maybe one year before his passing. It brings tears to my eyes. The world has a void where Chris stood.
Chris had an ability to sing anything, which is how he was able to progress from really heavy grunge in early Soundgarden days to acoustic songs, R&B styles, pop, rock, you name it. When you have a voice that good, it gives you amazing flexibility. The live version of this song performed at the Troubadour is incredible, will give you goosebumps.
I like the live version better. . .But, Chris is ALWAYS amazing. He is SO missed. 😔 Check out "Slaves and Bulldozers" (Soundgarden - recorded version). It is a HUGE fan favorite. What he does with his voice is incredible. It will give you chills.
What a voice.......He is the lead singer of a super group made up of remaining members of Rage Against the Machine. They are called Audioslave. Keep in mind this is a rock group, and very different from what you just heard. They have a song called (Cochise) it showcases Chris's vocal range, it also has one of the most amazing screams you will ever hear in rock music. Be sure to watch the official video, you will know you have the right one, because the band members show up in a truck followed by a crazy beat. Hold on to your seats ladies and gentlemen, that drop...............RIP Chris & Layne
All in my feelings today and it just reminds me that we all, no matter our status or talent in life, sometimes feel unworthy but it is only a feeling and it will pass. Enjoy & appreciate it all. So good. RIP CC ✌ ❤ 🙏
