    You got great no nonsense nitro videos
    I notice you don’t use lock tight on re-assembly? I guess the heat would negate that.

      Thank you for the kind words and no I do not use lock tight on engine screws that's how you rip the threads out of the aluminium

    Hey. I’m about the order the bearings but before I do see if there’s makes sense. I had already replaced the internals crossing my fingers all was ready BUT when I crank the engine and as soon as starts to warm up it speeds up and dies. You think the front bearing is catching air in. If so then I’ll just replace the bearings (which I should of done 1st). Is the 4023 same quality as Fast Eddy’s?. They are easily available in Amazon.

      The bearings don't actually seal the engine. If it starts revs up and dies is because it's starving for fuel. Make sure you have no fuel or exhaust system leaks and open your high speed needle and low speed needle a bit. Or better yet check out my Facebook group Nitro/Diesel/gas rc and more

    Just getting back into Nitro cars and decided to rebuild an older motor for kicks. It’s an AE .15 . Everything disassembled except the front bearing isn’t budging. Any suggestions?

      Heat and see if you can use a Is something like a wooden Dowell to tap it from behind

    Also how many gallons on Average you get out of these engines?

    • @thebug4046

      About 10 or so. Depending on a lot of things

    I appreciate the video because I have been having some issues with my engine, wondering if I need to replace some internal parts.
    But I have to ask, since you already had the engine off the car, why not just upgrade to a 2.5/2.5R or a brand new .15?
    Other than money of course. Is there a reason?

    • @thebug4046
      @thebug4046  5 років тому

      Reason being is because the 2.5 and 2.5 are are both the same engine and they're not my favorite they tuned terrible and they have a short lifespan the Pro 15 is the best engine ever made and the bearings only cost me about $13 plus I got all the parts for very cheap to bullet completely the pro .15 and 2.5 are both the same cc a .15 and 2.5 are both 2.5cc

      @@thebug4046 Thanks for the reply! I have a 5-6 year old nitro stampede. It has the "trx .15" engine. Are the trx .15 and pro .15 the same engines? The wording is very obscure and anytime I Google information about it, the only thing that shows up is the 2.5 and up engines.

      @@thebug4046 I bought the car when I was I was about 17 years old and now I'm 23, have a little more time and patience, trying to it running good. Not a lot of good information about the .15 engine online!

      @@codejunki567 the TRX 15 and Pro 15 are the same engine if it says 2.5 then it is different all the displacement is the same but they are not interchangeable also another thing is stay away from the Traxxas fuel it really sucks too much oil means a lean-to and a hot engine and shorter engine life sick with something like Byron's with 12% oil or a little less in anywhere between 20 and 30% Hydro
