This hits very close to home as I was also born with a facial deformity. My case was nowhere near the severity of little Yahya, but between the two operations I had; one at 3 yo and the second at age 9 I did suffer the stigma and trauma of being bullied and called names, even by adults, which is inconceivable.
My surgeries were an outstanding success for the year 1969. It was performed by whom I want to say was much more than a plastic surgeon, he was an artist. As I grew and reached puberty the scars disappeared, only leaving a straight vertical line on my upper lip. I became a handsome young man and by age 23 I also became a fashion model for 3 years.
This documentary has moved me deeply. Kudos and blessing to the wonderful team of doctors who helped this little angel in living a normal life. Special thanks to Fatima for undertaking the task of setting up the process, and for having such a loving heart.
My deepest love and affection for little Yahya, his beautiful parents, and his little sister. ❤❤❤❤❤

Beautiful. My oldest was born with a cleft lip and has had many surgeries. Still a very handsome and popular young man. I love that you became a model.😊
this is way too close to home. i.m glad the child hasn't entered school yet it can be pure hell and that's when even as a child you immediately realize good people from evil people in the purest form.
@@kerriecardinal68 sad, but very true. The insensitivity of adults leave indelible scars on children. As I grew I forgot about the bullying from the other kids, kids are kids and don't have a filter. Adults are a totally different story. In my country of birth communism took over in 1959. One of their models of operation was to reward unqualified people with power and positions of authority just to get them on the side of the new government. Most of those were criminals of a lesser degree, but others had committed more serious crimes, like grand theft, forgery, sabotage, etc. They were losers who carried a great deal of resentment against those who were successful. Cuba didn't gain independence until May 1902. And its first constitution was drafted and ratified in 1939. It was considered the most progressive in the Americas and granted many rights and opportunities to the population. The resentment and envy of those who Castro put in positions of authority was completely unfounded. Those never took advantage of what was available to everyone. My family was not wealthy, not even upper middle class, but everyone went to school and had access to free medical care and upper education. We lived comfortably and that was frowned upon by certain teachers in my primary school who bullied me and called me names like, split lip, Frankenstein, spitting slob, among other nasty names. So, other children see that behavior and mimic the adults.
Sorry for the long winded story. I just figured that I should elaborate further into my particular circumstances.
There are also wonderful and very kind people in this world. Like those who helped that little angel so selflessly.
Have a great day.

@@werebilbyj4449 Wow, he would have lived with or without his deformities 😒 yes but quality of life factors in and he would have struggled with eating, with breathing, with risk of infections, and above all.. with never being able to show his face in public without people being horrified and without him getting judged or bullied!!
Now he gets a chance at a normal life and doesn't have to worry about all of those things he was at risk for previously.
@@janlovesmany6058 Amen 🙏
Mad mad respect for the surgeon and medical team! Just wow.
I'm So Glad It Tutned Out So Well!! Thankyou For The Doctors God Bless You, Well Done
Fatima did a great thing to make this possible, but it seems like she could let the parents see their child and step back, not crowd right into the middle of things.
Kudos to the surgical team and all involved to make this happen.
I thought the same thing. It was strange that the footage focused so much on her feelings instead of the feelings of the parents.
UNBELIEVABLE 😢 HE NOW HAS A NEW LIFE. THE DEVOTION ON THAT SURGEON'S FACE WAS SO GREAT. PLUS HIS TEAM.THEY PERFORMED A MIRACLE.🎉
I cried throughout the entire program. These Drs are true heroes.
Me too
No matter how he looks, he has had the best start in life because of how loved he is and not just by his parents. But he's a beautiful kid and deserves a good life and all the happiness in the world ❤
Such an emotional story and so happy for the adorable little boy and his family and the lady who was there for them. Blessings to all of you.❤️
I know 😢😢😢
Every person involved is just amazing. The person that made the posting for help, Fatima, who took the bull by the horns and took action to get Yahya help, the surgeon....his strong, amazing parents. You can see how much love there is for Yahya. You can just see how much Fatima adores Yahya. She dodes on him. Beautiful display of love, compassion, empathy and determination.
God bless Yahya, his parents and the woman who discovered them not forgetting the doctors who did the wonderful job its so amazing and touching story.
also yahya's best friend's father who put yahya's story on facebook so fatima could find about him and gave him help. bless them all.
This is a story of humanity

Indeed Fatima is a saint from heaven
Blessings to every single person who was involved to help this special boy. Every single last one.🙏🏽🙏🏽
Agreed!! 💜🙏
This surgeon was amazing! Thank God for him
Can’t stress how fortunate humans are to have these superheroes that say they don’t do miracles yet the proof is in this boy . That surgeon is the real superhero 💯💯💯💯👍🏻 The whole team are heroes! And how lovely does the little boy seem so happy he had this amazing opportunity to get the operation.
Hope we get a part 3 when he is a teenager and how life has been for him.
@belly tripper Managed to help him they are basically helping him get more confident
I'd hope to see maybe two years down the line... How's his speech? Does he like school? How is everything healing? Do they plan on moving back to Morocco?
Yes..me too
They're all in Australia with the anchor baby!!
Barbara Carr so what!. If they can contribute to society and pay taxes like everyone else so be it. Australia takes 200k immigrants a year!. How do you know if the family had been on a waiting list to immigrate for medical reasons and family that baby might grow up to become a surgeon that is doing what they did to improve her brother's quality of life. You have no idea how they're here, they would have to been sponsored for starters and it seems a lot of charitys do actually do the right with donations not like others. How do you know the family even moved here?. This is a old video.
If this was filmed in 2015 and Yahya had turned 4, he'll be 10 this year and the little sister will be 6 😊
I wonder how they are doing now.
Yeah I would love to see an update of this family !

Its a beautiful moment when they speak with the surgeon about his first surgery and they all hug so beautiful to see them all connecting over this beautiful little angel 😊💙
So much gratitude to everyone involved in the reconstruction of this little guys face. Amazing how empathetic and kind people can be when the want too. Surrounded by loving people 🦋🌸🥰😊
It's an astronomical coincidence that the two people are are not his parents have the same love for him. One has befriended him in the most beautiful way and the other fell in love with him from half way around the world, before she even met him. Two beautiful souls that are kindred spirits.
Yes what a beautiful thing to do, god bless him xxxx
Fatima treats this child as if his her own son. So beautiful to see. Bless her heart and her absolute kindness.
I send my Prayers for continued healing ... He is just a Beauty. I am so Happy for Yahya and his family.
OMGOSH, the anesthesiologist singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star made me bawl. Thank you for being a kind person, not only a skillful person. They're both so important.
Professor Tony Holmes is BLESSED!
And this world is so lucky that he is here and helping the most needy of us! 🙏
Yaha will have a better life now. 🙏
Bravo to the neighbor who posted this child’s need in the first place.
Beautiful boy and thank God for giving the surgeons the ability to perform such amazing results.
Hats off to EVERYONE envolved with helping this little boy !!! It's wonderful to see such good people in world where there are so many evil ones. But the good far exceeds the bad !!!
