Too many heroes in this story! So much love! Given unconditionally by all. I cannot isolate a super hero! The neurosurgeon of course is, has been! These are stories that gives us all hope for mankind! Compared to those who have everything, possible (material and immaterial), and cannot cope!

Fatima Baraka is such an incredibly empathetic woman. Along with everyone else in this story, I find her to be extremely genuine and very inspirational.
I know what this boy went through...had similar experience.If it was not for my mom and the brilliant doctors who fixed my face, I would not be 78 this year!!

I'm in total agreement with you! Too often we hear/read about the inhumane treatment people have for one another...not to mention why this behavior seems to be accepted as commonplace. The world we live in is so corrupt, but I do believe that there's is still GODLY love left for humanity towards one another. I'll always believe that. Always.

Fatima seems to be more enthusiastic, excited, and emotional than his mother. It's almost like she's entranced by Yahya and has been waiting her whole life for him to enter her world. Amazing how the love and acceptance of Hiba (the sweet little girl next door) kind of set this journey for Yahya underway 😇
The Mother is being run over by Fatima. Doesn't mean the Mother doesn't deeply love her Son!
Her personality is different than his mom. His mom is not a person who wants to be in the spotlight, IMO. We are all different, and handle things differently. We cannot all be the center of attention, nor do we want to be. Not saying that is wrong, but not everyone is like that, or can be like that.
The language barrier probably plays a big role in how his mother reacts, too. I noticed when the surgeon came in to tell them that they would be able to operate, Fatima immediately burst into tears and he said “you might want to tell mom” because I’m assuming she had no idea what he was telling them. I love the passion that Fatima has for this child, but it’s a little bit overbearing in my opinion. His mother was probably extremely overwhelmed with everything, I know I would be in her position. Camera crews, trying to mother a 3 year old boy in a completely different country where you don’t know the language, being concerned about his health and the massive surgery he’s about to undergo, understanding the possibility of him dying during this surgery, being away from their family…it’s a lot for one person to deal with in completely normal circumstances!
It seems she is a little bit quieter in her emotions but she obviously cares deeply and loves her son so much. Even at 10:42 you can see how she is tearing up seeing Fatima’s emotions over her son. I think the difference here is that obviously there was a language barrier for the family when communicating for the doctors but also when your child is to undergo serious surgery, it must be difficult to just be happy-you are also incredibly worried, hoping for the best; you are as scared as you are hopeful. The place of a parent in this situation means that they experience the turmoil of the situation too.
The mother has been dealing with this since he was born, she's accepted it.
The little girl is how all people need to be in the world, and what a wonderful world that would be.
When the host gave him a hug that touched my heart. What a great reporter.
He was the best reporter for this story
You could see in that moment he forgot he was a reporter and the look on his face was that of actual love for another human.
He is alos a Doctor himself! So he already knows how to sort of approach the situation, and he did it with a loving heart ♥ and a completely 🤯 open mind!

The more stories like this I see, the more in awe I am of the brilliant maxillofacial and craniofacial surgeons out there. They save lives and rehabilitate bodies so beautifully, how could I not be in awe? When you add the magic of Yahya's little friend's father putting out the need to help this boy, it is just so heartwarming!
He has a face it is just little different that's all. I love how the little girl, his best friend can see him for who he is. Her parents did a good job with raising her to see past such things. Bless everyone that opened up there hearts to help him in anyway they could.

Everyone involved in this story is so wonderful but I have to say Fatima is beyond incredibly sweet, you can tell she has a huge heart and is a very emotional person. She so wants what’s best for Yahya it’s bursting from her. What an absolutely genuinely wonderful woman
When I saw him I wasn’t even phased. No shock or disgust- nothing but love. All I want to do his hug him and play with him. He brings the biggest smile to my face. He feels like a brother. I wish you the best you bundle of joy! 💙💙💙💙 God bless you

I don't know who they're looking at, but I see a smiling, laughing, sweet-natured little boy who brings joy to his parents and neighbors, loves giving and receiving hugs and has already won the heart of a beautiful girl. Yahya means "God is merciful." Everything about this sweet child is beautiful and inspiring.
Edit: Just so there's no misunderstanding, I hold nothing against the man who said, "He doesn't look human". I think it's wonderful that he took the time to interview, record and share Yahya's story!
You’re so right. It’s all the child has known is love. He’s not ashamed because he has never been told he needs to be. He is a walking angel that will go on to great things. I hate the word “productive”. How about replacing that with healthy and happy. Money and paying taxes is the only thing I can think of to use the word productive. We need housing, food, heat in winter, AC in summer, and electricity. We don’t all want golden toilets.

@Zander V I wasn't shocked at all. My first thought was, "I wish I could hug him." My second thought was, "He exudes love." I've worked with children and young adults with special needs. In every case, and just like Yahya, each person has exhibited an incredible ability to amplify love.

All I see is sweet little boy who loves everyone who he meets.
For everyone needing an update as this video is old, the little boy looks absolutely amazing after surgery and apparently his first words said after surgery was “Thank you” to the doctor that reconstructed his face. He’s now reunited with his bestfriend that never care about what he looked like just wanted to help him and there bond is stronger than ever x
And his little best friend, Heba, is lovely too. What a beautiful story of hope and kindness.

The way the little boy and girl interacted was the most beautiful thing I've seen in awhile. They are so pure and innocent. I hope they stay friends as they grow up. @@tia5374 sometimes your problem is pretty insignificant when you compare it to other things in life. it can still be a problem but just on a different scale. like when one person’s problem, while staring into a walk-in closet filled with luxury brands, is what should i wear? and another person’s problem is what should i use the money in my bank account for the heat or groceries? because they don’t have enough for both.
