I know I have one living just a few hours from me. A geneticist once told me that when you look into the mirror, the face looking back at you is that of an ancestor who either lived recently or a long time ago.
I saw my doppelganger in the subway, looked like my twin. When I spotted him I had to look twice. My seat had the back towards him, not sure if he saw me. But I could not stop turning around in awe. I regret not talking to him. It is weird to realize you have a face, that is not unique. Now I wonder how many there are in the world.
That has nothing at all to do with it. This is a lack of comprehension of Fields by a science that has only studied particle nonsense. The mold is what makes the particles take shape.
I noticed when growing up that I noticed my specific features on my face that made me feel self-conscious and others that made me feel confident about myself. And each of those recognitions made me act in a certain way based off of how I felt about each one. And so, I think each person who looks alike here probably felt the same thing based off of societal perceptions in their times, since they are all about the same ages. I think it comes down to how society perceives certain body parts and how you respond to those perceptions. And then how you respond to their responses and so on and so forth...and then bam. You’re now 30+ acting the same as someone else who looks just like you because you’ve had very similar experiences from society and its perceptions. I also feel the same way about names and how you feel about your name/the sound of your name and societal perceptions on it.
Well think how we see people and get vibes off of them based on how they look and how one person can remind you of someone youve known and you relate it to an experience and im pretty sure there have been studies on how physical traits especially of the face can correlate with psycology of a person maybe not 100% accurate but still in sure similar factors such as environment can effect both or how much you smile (crows feet , laugh lines, ect )
I'm sorry but the older gentlemen in the yellow shirts are adorably alike, they're like actual siblings, same mannerisms and all, the little snark here and there, even the same laugh, it's too cute. Incredible they're strangers
Depends on which siblings or family because alot of siblings look nothing alike just like my siblings and I look nothing alike and you wouldn't know we were even related.
I worked on a live reality show where our producers found these people and introduced them having never seen each other before. When the two people meet, the look of astonishment on their faces is priceless. We would also have the “twins” come meet out in a public place with a friend and we’d swap them and continue filming secretly to see how far the unknowing friends would keep engaging. Some of them would go on for over a half hour with a weird look on their face like what happened to your voice. As you can imagine this made for great tv.
I haven’t met my identical twin but apparently there’s a girl who lives in my town and everyone mistakes us and says we look just like one another lol. I’m shocked we haven’t met in a town of like 3000 people 😬
Many years ago I was standing in line at a coffee shop. I thought the guy in front of me has similar hair to me. But didn't think about it too much. When he got his order and turned around, we just stared at each other for like five to ten seconds. It was strange as hell! Almost identical. We just laughed and parted ways. Never spoke to him, and never saw him again. Very strange.
I saw my grandpa’s doppelgänger several years after he passed away, and i bawled like a baby because it was like being able to see him in the flesh again. It was bittersweet
I was once very startled when I walked out of a shop and almost bumped into someone that looked a lot like my passed grandfather. He saw the look on my face and asked what was wrong. When I explained he felt for me and we had a cup of tea together. That man was actually a lot more like my grandfather than only looking similar. Thx for the cup of tea and the memories Dave!
Same!!! I saw my granny. She left us at the age of only 63. I saw that old lady at the street, the same face, same traits, same clothing (large and flowerful dress) and vintage brown glasses with very thick lenses. My heart bounced. I almost started crying. I think today, as I’ve grown older and emotional, I’d probably ask to hug her (and maybe scare the poor woman 😅😅😅). I miss my granny so much it hurts sometimes. These life tricks…
A late friend of mine went to study in the US and told me he'd met my doppelganger there. He said he moved like me and was awful at sports exactly like me. 🤷♂️
I met my "doppleganger" once at the mall when a man came up to me and talked to me like he knew me. I was confused and said "do I know you?" Turns out I looked just like his daughter, we were shopping at the same mall and he thought I was her even up close. We did meet and man it was crazy. She really did look like me and I looked like her.
@@JPWick yeah it kinda was like that. Except I was 20 at the time and alone shopping at Dillard's and the man kept talking to me like he knew me. Later when he realizes I am not his daughter he calls his daughter who was in JC Penney. She meets us in Dillard's and we realize she is about 4 years older then me but we looked so much alike. we have different names but they both start with S. The weirdest part is knowing it is true that you can have a "doppleganger" .
I wish the producers of this program had included childhood or teen pictures of the dopplegangers and compared them. It would be really interesting to see if they always looked alike, or if facial hair, hairstyle, eyeglass choice etc. add to the effect more than we think.
It's not uncommon or shocking for this to happen at all. Tbh they could have found better twins for some of them. U could probably find 10 people or more that look like u
John and Neil were honestly so precious, they remind me of my grandfather and his identical twin. Very similar in looks and personality but also different in their own ways.
I’m convinced that I have a stranger twin. About 2 months into my freshman year in college (out of state), a woman walked right up to me on a crowded street downtown, calling me Maria, and started a full conversation with me. It took me about 3 min to convince her that I didn’t grow up in the city and that I wasn’t her friend. She didn’t even look confused; she was honestly offended and thought I was pretending to not know her. That encounter happened several times with other random locals while I was in college, but in all my time there, I never ran into the woman that looked like me. Weird.
One thing I wish this took into account is things like how rob and kohi both have similar glasses, facial hair, haircuts, and the same job. There's more to it than just facial features.
When I was around 14, I was walking through a museum when a girl that looked like a clone of me appeared. Same face, same hairstyle, same type of clothes. I kid you not, we ended up staring at each other for like 30 seconds. Then we both turned around not knowing what to do and I've never seen her again
One that happened to me was me standing between two doppelganger who look so fucking alike I witnessed it nd they just looked at each other and in shock walk away
That happened to me around the same age. It was so bizarre that neither of us spoke a word. It was as if I were looking in a mirror. We too turned & left utterly dumbfounded after about 30 secs. Then when I turned 21 I began bartending in the next town over where on a nearly weekly basis I'd have several customers come in & swear that I'd recently been their waitress at a nearby restaurant. I couldn't convince them otherwise! Very strange as these people had not only seen, but interacted with both of us & still thought we were one in the same! I assumed it Had to be the same girl I'd run into as a teenager. I don't know why but that uncanny feeling from the 1st sighting was so unsettling to me that even tho I wanted to go find her, I just couldn't bring myself to actually go looking. I figured that since we were in the same town, we'd run into one another eventually again. I moved to another nearby town about 2yrs later & haven't seen or heard about her since. It's been 17 yrs since then & in a way I regret not going to meet her, but I'll never forget the 1st time I ran into her as a teen. It was like an identical version of me from a different dimension had appeared in my timeline in this dimension...but yeah, identical strangers probably makes more sense, lol
Fiorella was really pissed people would even think she looks like the other woman. Her facial expressions say it all 🫣 I'm wondering whether i would think "WOW I'M UGLY!" or "Meh, better than i thought"
They shoulda showed us a photo of their parents to see if there's any similarities too which could further explain the look alike of the doppelgangers.
yes that happened to me too. I wasn't aware and a mutual friend brought the daughter of the dead mother to see what I looked like. All I saw was a girl running off crying and then found out what had happened. Just creepy ae
This happened to me at a party. A lady walked into the restroom, looked at me gasped and passed out. After getting help I realized her family was staring at me. They showed me a picture it looked just like me except I knew that wasn’t my clothing. It was her daughter who’d died a year prior.
It’s REALLY interesting to hear every individual’s thoughts regarding their doppelgänger. I’ve found myself feeling similarly to what they describe in strangers that don’t look like me, either. Y’know, that sense of familiarity and knowing someone, even though it’s the first time you’ve met. I wonder what that’s about.
The fact that they look alike isn't what is astonishing to me, it is that they look alike+ wear glasses, have the same jobs and the same sexual orientation!
i did but then I thought about it, the chances are high that I meet a better version of myself, my self esteem can't take a hit like that anymore so I decided against it.
On my husband's account. But my highschool boyfriend did the same thing when I dumped him. But she originally had brown hair but you can guarantee she dyed it blonde within a week of them dating. I couldn't even b mad was just amused
@@mickeykindley9885 I get that, but remember these are not closely blood related... They are just going on the notion of 'identical strangers'... I was just pointing out that, to me, some don't really look 'identical' as they claim them to be in the video..
In the beginning of the documentary each pair looked pretty similar to me, but the longer I watched it and the more familiar I became with each face, the less similar their faces appeared to me. Once you get familiar with the subtle nuances of a face and a character you notice the differences more than in the beginning when you see the faces for the very first time in your life. By the end of the documentary they all looked like complete strangers to me. But the same thing happens with identical twins to me too. I've met a few twins in real life and at first I could not distinguish them at all, but the more time I spent with them, the less similar they looked to me, and after a few weeks I thought they looked completely different.
I grew up with a pair of identical twins who were my same age, living on my street. We were friends, and when we were like 5, 6ish I couldn't tell them apart. By the time we were around 9 years old, I could tell them apart a lot more easily based on subtle differences in their faces, their voices, their personalities, their mannerisms. They each were color coded, one girl wore pink and the other blue. They had swapped colors on April Fool's, and in the carpool on the way to school, I was so confused since a part of me could sense that each of them were more like the other that day. I kept telling them that, and finally they confided in me they were planning to go to each other's class and pretend to be the other to prank everyone, and asked me to keep it a secret. So you get better with time at telling identical twins apart
No. Actually we all thought they were twins even without seeing their faces cuz they made all their outter appearance the same. So stupid. Non of them are alike
I haven’t even watched it I just saw the thumbnail and said those 2 people don’t look lien twins they just look similar, then I watched the first minute ad it quickly went through all the “twins” and paused on all of them and none of them look like identical twins at all to me, they just looks like people with similar features eg, hair colour/style, skin colour, weight/build etc. so I came to the comment to see if anyone thought the same or if I was somehow the crazy one. I feel like I could find 10 people that would fit this documentaries criteria for a doppelgänger just in my city, but give us the whole world and you’ll absolutely find plenty of people that looks similar enough and has similar interests.
so weird, the two bigger guys in the blue look so alike at face value, but actually scored pretty low. definitely interesting. I thought they looked way more identical than some of the others who scored higher in the initial scan
I'm not sure ...I think you could 'cherrypick ' things that you both like and dislike ...and I noticed that they all seem to start mirroring their physical behaviours..
@@brendancronin3796 That's right. It's a logical fallacy called the Texas Sharpshooter Fallacy (a form of confirmation bias, which is cherry picking) - that is, looking at just the hits while ignoring all the misses. yes, it would've been interesting to learn more such wider aspects of their surroundings, hobbies, habits, pastimes.. instead, the film kept reiterating and rubbing in the same over and over again, and over featuring some pairs while neglecting others. interesting subject but unfortunately poorly presented
My husband has one! The man is a commercial actor for the big company my husband works for, so that’s even weirder. There’s a poster of the man in the lobby of my husband’s workplace and people always ask him if that’s him in the poster. We first discovered this when I saw the commercial on tv. My heart dropped when I saw my own husband (except it wasn’t) in a commercial. I’ve been him for 12 years and it had me questioning my sanity lol. I’m am an identical triplet. So I wonder if all three of us have an unrelated identical twin. 6 of us walking around looking like each other would be some crazy scary shit lol

I regret not talking to him. It is weird to realize you have a face, that is not unique. Now I wonder how many there are in the world.
They should show pictures of their parents to see how similar they are to the other person's parents.
Yeah. That would be cool

What I find even more fascinating in terms of psychology is that these "twins" also seem to act very similarly.
Right?! And some of them have the same job, sexual orientation, body type (except Ambrosia and Fiorella 😂😂)
Alot of "People" act the same wtf lmao yall dumb

Depends on which siblings or family because alot of siblings look nothing alike just like my siblings and I look nothing alike and you wouldn't know we were even related.
Are you helping or subtracting from the discussion. To be honest I'm both intrigued and straying from the path
Do you remember the name of the show?

Weird.
PLOT TWIST: You have a drinking habit and forget easily.
The two older fellas are my favorite they act like brothers.

I love how John and Niel became like bffs
UA-cam randomly recommended this to all of us but we arent mad about it
When I was around 14, I was walking through a museum when a girl that looked like a clone of me appeared. Same face, same hairstyle, same type of clothes. I kid you not, we ended up staring at each other for like 30 seconds. Then we both turned around not knowing what to do and I've never seen her again
Same thing happen 2, me in perth mall in jay jays.. I wish i could run into her again
I think that was a mirror.

My husband is a twin, and I've been with him over 25 years, so when I see these "doppelgangers" I don't think they look that alike.
I feel like I could find 10 people that would fit this documentaries criteria for a doppelgänger just in my city, but give us the whole world and you’ll absolutely find plenty of people that looks similar enough and has similar interests.
i grew up with a pair of identical twins and till this day i still cannot tell them apart 😂😂
so weird, the two bigger guys in the blue look so alike at face value, but actually scored pretty low. definitely interesting. I thought they looked way more identical than some of the others who scored higher in the initial scan
The most amazing thing is not only the physical similarities but the similarities in lifestyle and taste.
I am thinking maybe that what face reading comes from. People with similar shape of eyes, ears and noses may share similar personality
It's not that surprising when you take into consideration science that frowned upon but proven all over the world my different teams of scientists

I'm not sure ...I think you could 'cherrypick ' things that you both like and dislike ...and I noticed that they all seem to start mirroring their physical behaviours..
