Your animated exposition of the visual and musical atmosphere created with the details of the artistry of these musicians are very enjoyable to witness along with the music itself.

brooo just found your channel. your reactions are a goldmine!! i love the format too; one time all the way through uninterrupted (with your animated reactions lol) followed by an actual analysis from someone who understands music. This is what i wish so many other channels were lol instantly subbed

You might want to consider doing Ego Death as your next Polyphia song. It's probably the third it what I consider the "big three" mandatory watches (along with Playing God and GOAT). But really, all their stuff is pretty impressive in different ways.

That's the energy of listening to polyphia sir, subscribed, waiting for more. All of their repertoire is cool, but I'd recommend ego death or neurotica if you want more of the crazy composition, or abc if you'd like to see them with a vocalist. Also culture shock, it's old and not the most popular, probably won't get you too many views, but their guitars really sing there, very vocal imitating playing all while at 180bpm, i think you'd appreciate it. I'd also very much like to see you sing some of it 😅

This is my favorite song by Polyphia.
I am generally more of an Animals as Leaders fan but this is a great band too.👍

A bit of context from a guitarist: the song sounds hard, but it's even harder than it sounds. The natural harmonics in the main riff require really precise finger placement (something fretless instrumentalists are no stranger to but is unusual for guitar) and a very light touch to not completely mute the string (since you're basically placing your finger to mute some of the harmonic overtones but not multiples of the fundamental). Combine that with the wide intervalic leaps which require a lot of movement both side to side on the neck and up and down (skipping over strings in the process). And despite qualifying as a laughably hard etude it's still super catchy. Definitely a legendary song.
"I can only imagine what goes into making those arpeggiated notes sound so stacatto and crisp" one of the more fundamental modern guitar techniques called palm muting. Unsurprisingly you mute the strings with your right palm, resting them on the strings. One of those things that requires a lot of experience and feel since the combination of hand position and pressure can give you a lot of different sounds. The "chug chug" sound you hear in metal songs is done via the same technique, as is the genre defining "djent" sound

I suggest you reacting to Scarborough fair cover by Forestella. They’re a quartet crossover. Their have wonderful very operatic voices. I promise it gives you goosebumps
