I'm so glad you finally reacted to this one, Daniel. A whole Choir of "Dan Vasc's" is nothing short of glorious. Having sung the Soprano 1 of this beautiful piece back in my choir days, I was impressed enough that Dan was even attempting this. The fact that he did such a great job on it was a fantastic surprise. Throwing in the "Dan humor" bits made it even more endearing. He outdid himself & this is definitely one of my favorites by him. 😊

I thoroughly love your reactions to Dan's music, your sense of detail. I reckon you must be a great classic teacher. The jaw and/or throat vibrato are techniques used by some of the best rock and jazzsingers - it's not really created from tension, but from kind of using the muscles rhythmically, which actually demands a very relaxed jaw and throat, in order to be able to create a steady rhythm - if you have tension, it becomes a struggle and the rhythm and quality of tone will suffer. I compare it to the vibrato stringmusicians and guitarists creates by moving/shakìng the fingers rhythmically on the neck of the instrument. But i do understand and like your beautiful description of the classical supported diaphragm vibrato.

I don't know if Dan did any choir singing in his past, but loved all the effort he put into this. He was working so hard back then to get his channel going. For a stretch of about 2 1/2 years, he was putting out 1, and sometimes 2, videos per week. Now that he has reached his goal, he is financially able to spend time enjoying other past times and choosing to record only certain songs. Thankfully, he has left us with a vault of amazing videos to enjoy. Thank you for your analysis of this wonderful performance.

Just love watching your reactions to Dan. He never fails to impress me and your reactions always make me smile. I would love to see you react to another singer who never disappoints me - our wonderful Australian royalty of music (and a humble person with a beautiful soul) - John Farnham. ALWAYS listen to him live! His rendition of Help by the Beatles, sung with the Melbourne symphony orchestra is brilliant! There are so many wonderful performances of John but Help is a great introduction to the rabbit hole of John.
