Good choice! I put a 5050xl on my F250 with the KC Whistler but it made it a little too quiet for my liking lol! Oh well. At least now I won’t piss off the neighborhood coming home from work at 2am or when I crank it up when it’s cold.
I hear you man. I miss the sound of my truck without the muffler, but the neighbors are a big reason I run one as well lol. I'd like to weld v band clamps on there and be able to straight pipe it sometimes for my own enjoyment. We'll see if i ever get around to that.
@ I feel ya haha! I’ve thought of doing something similar. I kind of want to try out some type of electric exhaust bypass to have some switch on the fly muffled/straight pipe action, but I haven’t had any luck finding any 5” options.
No complaints with the aero muffler, running a 5050xl on my 4th Gen and even with 430 gears on the highway there’s very little drone. 3 years and 30000ish later it still looks good under there I actually like the deeper tone the muffler gives as well.
Glad to hear you're happy with it after a good amount of time. So far I'm also very happy with it. Still gives the Cummins sound. But considerably less drone. Thanks for sharing your experience with it!
@@mcflurry301 charger19681988 did a good comparison video, it doesn’t do it much justice on video tho. It cut the down quite a bit, overall it’s about half as loud as it was with a full 5” straight pipe with a little deeper tone
When you said exhaust brake sound is gone now...do you mean the crazy hiss sound? I have a 5" and its super loud hiss. I'd love to get rid of that and have the blow/relief sound.
@EpicAdventuresOffroad 10-4 thank you, iv got a 4 delete pipe now but I find it to loud for cold morning start ups nabors will hate me this winter if I don't do somthing soon lol
That’s sounds awesome!

Hows the exhaust brake sound? How much from straight pipe did it quite it down? Is the crazy hiss sound still there?

@@mcflurry301 it cuts the overall sound volume in half, exhaust brake included. And gives it a deeper tone

Yeah it majorly reduced the hiss. Still a small amount of the blow off sound though. Just quieter overall.
Nice truck bro. I was thinking of getting my truck to sound louder like yours. I have a 13 Chevy Silverado dually and what size pipe do I need?
Do I need to do a delete for a muffler on my truck 6.7 Cummins? I want sound but without having to delete my def???
Your not gonna get any sound with the def on it period
Yeah, it wont change any sound without taking the DEF off. Which in todays age is getting harder and harder to do.
What is your wheel and tire set up if you don't mind me asking
17” Method MR 305’s with 37x12.50 Toyo open country r/t’s.
Stock turbo?
No it’s a 2nd gen swap S467.7
Definitely sounds quieter. Is the drone gone?
Much better now! Definitely eliminated most of the drone.
Will this work on a 2015 ?
It should. You just have to match the size of the muffler to whatever size your current exhaust pipe is.

@@adventureswiththegaut1718sweet! Yeah it should work perfectly then.
