Pdi is pretty good, I had 23 389, I went all out and threw a whole kit at it, second turbo, exhaust and intake manifolds, and their tuner. That really woke x15 up, she diid 623hp and 2283 ft/lb to the ground. I ran it for five months and sold it, went back into 94 379exth with c-model cat, and haven't looked back since. Newer trucks almost have to be deleted from the get go for them to be reliable, at this rate I'd rather restore an older truck and not deal with all epa bs, and no elog is a cherry on the top😉
man you sure did get into a pile of 💩💩💩.. i have a 94 flat top with a b model, a 379, a 389 and a 2020 579 and yes they are deleted "389. 579" i wold have to be a complete moron to go from my 579 automatic back to my 94 dinosaur 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡.. you probably couldnt afford it and had no choice but to go back to junk iron
I’d recommend the Fass. I have the same system I installed on my Paccar peterbilt about a year ago. I think it recommends 30,000 mile on the filters change but that is just too much. I change mine every 10,000 and haven’t had any issues. The fuel heater for fass I also have installed because we get -40 weather in the winter. Also no need to sit there and use the manual pump when changing filters just crack open the second filter and turn the key on and the whole system primes in just a few seconds.
Say what you want but every cummins I owned was reliable. Never owned a new tractor but everyone I got a good deal on or could afford all had cummins engines . I didn't become a cummins man by choice. Funny how things work out.
@@leejohnson6173 you start monkeying with any engine it's not gonna run properly ..temp ..oil pressure. My nephew ruined one. But I never spent $ I didn't have to. $50,000 paint jobs . Set the chrome industry back a month with all the shiny things. He'll learn one day.
@leejohnson6173 I've run both isx15 and x15. I drove them as hard or harder than I ever did my 2WS E3406 set to 550. Both Cummins were rated to 500. Neither one gave me a hint of an issue, 500k on a brand new 2022 (built '21), and 730k presently on an '11 ISX15. The 11 just had injectors done... that's it. After driving both, I can tell you first hand as a heavy haul specialized operator turned mile chasing refer driver, the power, response, drivability, and most importantly ECONOMY of the newer cummins engine is simply and absolutely wonderful. You couldn't pay me enough to go back to the kitty, as much as I love them... I value capability and uptime over nostalgia. To each their own though, certain cat engines are extremely reliable in stock form and more simple to fix and maintain.
I have an 08 duramax with a fass system and it made a great difference in the fuel delivery and economy. Next one to get a fass is my 00 dodge Cummins. I definitely recommend one if you like your diesel.
Put a 444 junkinns motor in my 1980 Pete. After all kinds of problems we sent it out to Pittsburgh power, they did pump, injectors and a high flow coolant system on it. Along with a fass system. She went from an over heating turtle to a monster of a motor.
Cummins has it the intake ran like that so the EGR would mix evenly with every cylinder now you’re one and two are going to get the majority of the EGR flow if you leave it emissions intact
99 isx had a center intake feeding into the head , still made 600hp. I don't think this intake design will help much in hp, under boost all cyl are getting same amount of air.
Hey man love your show a sammy the bull telling us abouts his life story a honesty telling how it was a I guess that you had to do what you had to do we live in Victoria Australia cheers man can't wait for your next video
I'm about to be in a '20 International LT with a 400hp X-15 SA in it. I've heard it can't be turned up more than the 500 hp threshold. Does anyone have any insight? It says 400/1850 on the plate.
A fuel heater help a lot You’re a Diesel guy you should know that. You probably wouldn’t never notice a difference but on mine Which is a 2022 X15 605 I run from 80 thousand and heavier daily. My truck runs like a raped ape. I have a in tank fuel heater. That Cummins loves that hot fuel.
It does nothing according to Pete, but the tuner if they find a trace on your ecm it will void it. Now I have the tuner and have took it to Pete but I flash the stock map and no problems with my warranty at all because it's not traceable
Cummins found the PDI tuner in my ECM. Engine dropped a liner and they downloaded ECM. I lost all warranty on a 2 year old truck. It leaves a footprint under the user ID, red flag for Cummins straight away.
Go ahead and modify that NEW X15 and VOID that Factory warranty.... YES, Cummins CAN see if you mess with that ECM calibration or use a tuner to DEFEAT emissions even if you restore back to factory After you experience a failure. 😉 😁
Not to knock your truck but that green truck need’s your rear fenders! I’m not a fan of Peterbilt but that green is sexy! Your blue is not bad just not my color. Hopefully by next year you will have her chromed out with some evo blue lights everywhere
Bruce, you should see if you can work with Tony justice or bill weaver for licensing to use their songs in your trucking videos without getting demonetized
Should have removed the butterfly out of the throttle valve. That way It doesn't close and suck all the exhaust gas since you refuse to Delete it and actually hook the stacks up
Oh is that what that's used for? For EGR? I know diesels don't traditionally use throttles to modulate their power the way gasoline engines do. I wonder what positions it's in during operation.
Now that you have the Fass you could get rid of the stock electric priming pump, & the gear pump since you have the Fass. Now you need to Delete the truck.
Love how they skipped over the whole fass install and just say it's super easy... And you can do the intake manifold on the side of the road...😂 Ok buddy 👍
Been on the fence on installing the PDI intake, exhaust and turbo kit. Already have 600k on a 3 year old truck. When we do pull the trigger, the St George shop will be the first stop.
Bought a $2600 tuner from that shop and it didn’t do anything and I’ve called numerous times they don’t help at all they just say they will tell their tech department and call me back and never do. Not sure I would bring anything to them.
One thing I have seen that would make the engine bay look better is replace the wire covering it would look like a good looking woman in red leather and black lace
Should of dyno b fore n after. And fuel milage as well If you are a bit concerned in sales of that. You n the backyard mechanic need a course on proper handling chrome parts proper installation, behavior on customers babys...
Love most your vids but the new truck just doe not fit.. Get the cabover going follow what Gentry does. The old tucks and motors they had are the best.!.!

Thumbs up 👍 I would tell you. You may regret not having a fuel heating. Just never go north of Georgia. 😊

I love diesels and they smell great and they are reliable and they are worth the money
Anything to use to get better fuel economy
I would keep the fuel heater in case you do drive it when it's cold. At least for when you sell it one day
Good to see your dad there he started it all after all 😉👍🤠😎🎸🍻
Got to love a fass. I got a fass 165 on my 2nd gen cummins 5.9 I have 19psi love it
Bruce, we need to see more of ya pa, gotta figure trotter was you trying to say tractor as a kid. My dad will always be my hero!
Thank you for the video Bruce. The guy from SemiCasual did a nice job.Wish you all the best.
Nice intake, Bruce. I appreciate you sharing this video, buddy 👍

Way better choice than PDI
Cummins has it the intake ran like that so the EGR would mix evenly with every cylinder now you’re one and two are going to get the majority of the EGR flow if you leave it emissions intact
yeah now because its not deleted the first 2 cylinders get all the air
99 isx had a center intake feeding into the head , still made 600hp. I don't think this intake design will help much in hp, under boost all cyl are getting same amount of air.
One thing should say that truck starts used a lot of DEF and check engine come on some time for SCR efficiency..after installing that intake.
That's why PDI sells the Big Boss tuner.
Just remember UA-camrs, it is easy to subscribe and like and share, but your content has to constantly earn it.
That intake just changed the whole look of the truck 🎉... Until you close the hood 🍻
Hello 👋 Hey Hi and Howdy Yall. ...Cleveland Tenn waivin a Hand ✋️
How did you route the fuel around the factory electric lift pump? Or are you still running that too?
What are those toggle switches below the fuel separator
Grease fittings
@@Bruce_Wilson o ok. I see it looked like switches. Thanks buddy

Super cool video 👏👍🖐️🥰
Awesome video 👍👍👍
Start it up. Bruce ...
You didn't have any type of factory powertrain warranty that you're worried about voiding?
do Cummins assemble whole engine and then through it into red paint barrel? :D
I'm about to be in a '20 International LT with a 400hp X-15 SA in it. I've heard it can't be turned up more than the 500 hp threshold. Does anyone have any insight? It says 400/1850 on the plate.
Question. The jake brake work with this Turbo . Thank you

Nice lookin motor ... Love it ☝.

Has that Truck previously been deleted or can you put this on a stock truck?
Bruce you seem to be learning more about semi trucks and working on them more then you drive them
Curious what the manifold does to affect your warranty on a newer truck?
pretty sure aslong as nothing is cut up an just bolts on direct factory fit its fine, pretty sure
It does nothing according to Pete, but the tuner if they find a trace on your ecm it will void it. Now I have the tuner and have took it to Pete but I flash the stock map and no problems with my warranty at all because it's not traceable
Shit I bought a 5-year 50000 warranty nothing been covered

Yes that is true. Cummins found the tuner in my ECM. Lost all warranty. PDI tuner is 100% traceable.
Do any of these upgrades void any warranty?
Gr8 Vid!!!!!!
I own an n14 select plus Cummings Do you make one for it

Did you check for tire clearance.
Bruce, you should see if you can work with Tony justice or bill weaver for licensing to use their songs in your trucking videos without getting demonetized
What’s the gpm rating u have on your fass? I want to add one too
Compound turbo with a ground burner?

Thanks for your video ..
How much cost for parts just for those two upgrades
U should put real stacks on your truck😁😁😁
Will you show us the finished interior of the 389?
That was good of the old man to buy you some Crome for your business toy… 😂 😂
Where can I buy one at? My is and 07 isx
just from looking at the plumbing on the firewall, i would guess that truck was built on second shift
That oil cooler you’re talking about is freakin EXPENSIVE
Now that you have the Fass you could get rid of the stock electric priming pump, & the gear pump since you have the Fass. Now you need to Delete the truck.
how much DEF do you go threw on the truck
Show and go always a great package ❤ guys have you a wonderful weekend see ya

The original will distribute the egr gas more efficiently Cummins must’ve spent thousands testing it
I am not understanding what's going on here. Is this going to save more fuel?
I think I seen you and I 70 east today
Great video Bruce
The x15 here in aus is scr non dpf and they are soooooo much better then the egr
Is it end of next year euro 6 becomes mandatory which brings back the dpf.
Other than a few issues the euro 5 spec X15 is alright

YOU"RE GOING WITH FASS??? They are a SCAM company with POOR customer support!! WHY didn't you go with the AirDog??
sad that you cant just delete it
They get deleted all the time. Only way to make them reliable
all you need to do is stop being a P1..1SSY and have working stacks
You need to delete your admissions off your truck so it can run better and roll out black coal
