Thanks for this! Yesterday, I watched your dashboard tour video and really loved it. I've been eager to create my own, and this video was a big help in guiding me through the process!
Thank you explain how to organize dashboard. I learnt lots of things. To organize dashboard it is necessary to make databases on different topics. so, which one is priority to other? for that reason, I focus to organize dashboard rather than making databases.
Hi Andy, thanks for this very informative presentation. It got me from 0 - functional in 20 minutes! highly recommended! Can you please advise on if it is possible to, instead of linking to a database inside notion, rather link to an excel spreadsheet? I find that I need to do a lot of calculations which I want to show on my dashboard for proper business metrics and Notion can't seem to do that... keep going with these videos, really adding value to people.
Hi Paul, Thanks so much for your comment. I'm thrilled you're getting loads out of these videos and 0-functional in 20mins is awesome! With regards to connecting to excel and other such functionality, Notion does use an API and connecting via tools such as Zapier may work. However, I'm not an expert on this and so wouldn't be able to help much further unfortunately. However, Thomas Frank and others have lots of information on this, so check them out too :-). More videos are on their way. And let me know if there's anything else you would like me to cover and I'll see what I can do... Good luck! Andy
Hi Andy, thanks for the referral! I will check them out. I was also able to find information on the API and using power query in the meantime and realised it is way out of my league! Love your videos, working through the rest to build a solid foundation.
Some extra tips I´ve done: - Instead of using words on the links of the synced block, I use emojis, so if you use notion on mobile, you have all the links in less space - I placed the "quick action" buttons also on the synced block, but inside a toggle, so I can expand or minimize, and of course I used emojis So they are smaller
