been through about 6 notion videos and this one is actually the most useful one cause the use of each thing is clearly displayed and not convoluted as fuck
The way you can explain so much on Notion in such little time is amazing! The curation and script writing must’ve taken a lot of time! Thank you so much for the content! ❤️
I don't know how many videos i've watched trough out the years, but I know this; this is by FAR the best guide/tutorial, or whatever, i've every watched on any topic on YT. So concise, simple, to the point, no BS and fast paced. I salute you, mate! Keep up the good work!
I can't stretch how helpful this video is, I have been struggling with notion and always just end up deleting it, but now I know more and can happily use it with no confusion.
this is insane, i love the demonstration of so many features so quickly, an intelligent person can see the scope of capability within 20minutes from this demo. Way more powerful than Trello - Guess im switching over - Thank you !
notion going 2025 starting with this video thank you chris best one ive seen and found so far all the whole run down and details cannnnnnnt wait to press play right now thank you
Thank you so much bro figured notion would help journal the endeavours in my life right now but was struggling to fully understand it , boom first video I see taught me everything much love from SA❤️you a saint
Wow! Explanation at its best! So much useful info with focussed approach. Covering all minutest details and taking it to the next level step by step! And yeah I love your accent!! Enjoyed every bit of it! 👌🏼 God bless! And keep it coming. Subscribing you straight away!
Amazing video! I've never used notion, and am just starting to, and you really cleared things out for me, thanks! Must admit last 2mins were me not getting anything, but I'm sure eventually I will.
Very well-structured video! Concise and Clear. A piece of advice is to use the white appearance to be clearer and visible on the video. Also, try to speak not so fast, because I can't understand it, causing me stress. Thank you so much!
Great video. Thank you. You covered a ton. I appreciate the pace too. Let people rewind if they can't keep up. BTW - I had to rewind. 😊 Keep the advanced videos coming.
This is a great video. Also, voice very clear : don't have to strain to interpret words...THANKS! Great : think this is the most accessible video I've seen.
i think, i think you can do a great tutorial on any other software, you make it easy to understand. and the video is somehow not an hour long but you tought so much. seriously... if you want to, teach how to use other stuff too. really helpful
“Agradezco los subtítulos en español en tus videos. Es genial poder entender completamente el contenido. ¡Gracias por pensar en tu audiencia internacional!”
I use a combination of premiere pro and after effects. Already have a video like that planned for the future, "How I use Notion to create videos about Notion", and this will include everything from the idea to publish.
Great video Chris, and excited to discover more about Notion through you. As a sidenote though, you do whizz through your explanations as if the viewer is as proficient as you. I get it, it must be almost common sense for you at this stage, but slow it down a bit and take us through your content like the beginners we are. ☺ thanks in advance!
Joined the Notion Movement, loving it so far. I feel way more productive using this as my everything productivity tool. I was really hesitatany because I was really afraid that I would waste more time building things but a lot of the default tempaltes are simple and effective out of the box. I'm hoping to build a template of some sort that someone can leverage later on. Side note, I'm having problems using a giphy for the cover on pages. Anyone have nany idea what it could be? Tried the local installed app and the web browswer and nothing displays.
This is a great video!! I felt right at home the moment I heard your Afrikaans accent😂 Your video is really helpful and everything went smoothly when I did it myself except for the creative progress bar, everytime I tried to put in the code it said this: "Argument of type text does not satisfy function slice. [6,18] Percentage is not defined. [23,33] Argument of type text does not satisfy function slice. [48,60]" I copy and pasted the code so I never changed anything yet I still keep getting this. Do you know how I could fix it?
Hi Chris, being a Notion noob (I know, I was sooo late to the party), I really appreciate your content, I find it very helpful ❤ I'm considering purchasing your Life OS Dashboard template, and just wonder how customizable it is? Can I remove the blocks I don't need without compromising the overall structure of the template? I`m only going to use it for my personal life, personal projects and studies, so I don't need features like CRM, and I probably won't use the habit tracker. I would however like to sync the to do-list with Todoist and the calendar with Gcal via Notion automations. Thanks!
Hi yes you can remove and add stuff as you'd like. You can always access the the original link again inside your Gumroad library in case you mess something up :)
I have a question. What command or shourtcut do you use to show the window to write the slice formula? Thank you to make this video. It helps me a lot'
Just shareing, for those ppl want the progress bar be the emoji, just 2 times the byte of the length like this: slice("🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟", 0, 2 * round(prop("Completion") * 10)) + slice("💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀", 0, 20 - 2 * round(prop("Completion") * 10)) + " " + format(round(prop("Completion") * 100)) + "%"
Hi yes it has been replaced by the new Notion buttons. Just add a new button and use the "inset blocks" option and add in a bullet list. Then just give your button a name and an icon and now if you click the button it'll add a new bullet list. And if you want the outline around it just create a callout box set to the default color, give it a name and make it bold, underlined, and change the color and then just drag and drop the button inside.
Amazing stuff bro, thanks. Bro I would like to learn how to archive stuff and also be able to favorite pages that can automatically appear at the top of my dashboard
To archive just add a checkbox property to a database and name it archive, and filter your database to not show any database entries with the checkbox checked. You can also create an archived view where it only shows all your archived pages.
what's the difference between the free and the other paid ones also, does the free notion have access to what you have shown is this video? just curious
Yes the only reason you'd upgrade from Notion's free plan is if you want to use Notion automations or add team members, otherwise you can do everything on the free plan. The main difference between the free templates and paid dashboards is that the templates is just a single system solving one problem, whereas the dashboard is multiple systems combined into one large system solving multiple problems. Dashboard = multiple templates, template = 1 system.
When customizing the buttons in Indify you can just select one of their color options and then change the background to dark mode or light mode to get that border. And the N O T E S is made just with using a space in between the letters 🙌🏼

Your introduction is beautiful! Could you share more about how you create them? I would like to create this style for other software.

Hi yes it has been replaced by the new Notion buttons. Just add a new button and use the "inset blocks" option and add in a bullet list.
