    I completely disagree with the user below, Matthias. I think you're one of the most helpful Notion power-users on UA-cam. Your tips and suggestions are always useful to me, especially for certain niche cases, and clearly explained. It is true that you tend to make Notion videos for other power-users, not beginners, but again, this is very helpful. Thank you very much for your hard work and please keep it up!

    I like this advice. I don't have a shared workspace with people yet, too introverted I guess, but I'd like to build one for the family business. I'll heed your advice :)
    I like your smile when you said "...and all your effort was for nothing", pretty sinister stuff. Is that how ALL Germans react at ineffectiveness (??), that'd make sense.

      Did you apply the database template to the new entry? 🤔
      That should be enough then, so no need to add the filter individually to each page

      @@mfreihaendig Oh! I figured out what was the problem. When editing the template. I missed to click the little orange button that appears to the right saying "Save for everyone". Now it works 🥰 Yay!

    Thank you for the video. I sometimes use automation, but I'm curious if you have cases where recurring pages are set up in databases, like e.g every week. Automation doesn't work then. My workaround is to create a single page that fills in a property in the template, but the downside is that it might skew the statistics in formulas, such as the number of set statuses, etc. Have you encountered this problem yourself?

    • @mfreihaendig
      @mfreihaendig  10 місяців тому +1

      Yep indeed, raised that early with the Notion team when they released it - it’s a really annoying limitation 😅
      Can’t do much about it at this point, they have it purposefully deactivated as a trigger :-/

    How do I add Page Settings into a bunch of notion pages in a database without having to edit all the pages one at a time. like adding the blocks to the bottom of the pages?

    • @mfreihaendig
      @mfreihaendig  10 місяців тому

      Unfortunately no really easy way to do this to existing pages :-/
      You could automate it, but that’s quite some effort. Your best bet it to set it as a default template going forward and copy paste it into old pages whenever you need it

    • @jewelcrystal
      @jewelcrystal 10 місяців тому +1

      @@mfreihaendig I have 134 pages to edit... and they're all unique pages with unique information in each but having a page setting would be helpful. Do you think using a button that would add blocks below could work? I would just be copy pasting the button to each page and then use the button and then delete the button from the page... may take 2-3 hours, but I think it's worth it... 😂

      It would maybe help if he used real world examples instead of “sample,” “entry A,” and “new entry.”
