When people ask me “why Italian?” I tell them “well I had to start somewhere.” Our brains have the capacity to learn multiple languages and it only gets easier as you go

WOW YOR ITALIAN IS AMAZING!!!! Great job 😍 honestly, who cares if a language isn't popular for career stuff! If you love it, go for it!!!!!!! EDIT: Also, I hate how in the US language learning isn't really emphasized! Despite that, I am passionate and am learning 3 languages and I hope to inspire others to learn languages as well 💗

Ahh thank you so much! Yeah I always support anyone who wants to learn a language for any reason, if you have the passion, you can and should go for it! Good on us for learning more languages, I’m glad we can inspire others to hopefully do the same 😊🥳🎉

Since Mexico is next to US I learned english my whole life growing up, so as for "usefulness" I already have Spanish and English for my basic needs (work, studies and lots of travel). French hasn't been useful in my life at all but I enjoyed learning it, I'm currently studying German which I'll need for survival because I want to keep studying and work in that language and even with 0 uses in my life I still studied Japanese because it's one of my favorite languages and I simply love it and the culture ❤

Shea, you improved so much! Great job 🤩
Regarding Bologna being empty in August, that happens for two main reasons: as you said, Italians mainly have two weeks of holidays and that's usually in August (also when most companies close) and then I don't know if you noticed how hot and humid is the air in town, so yeah people rush to the seaside, hills and mountains to avoid melting 😂
Greetings from the hills surrounding Bologna 👋

Great video Shea! I know you were concerned about your accent, but its really not strong at all, it's clear that you're spent time working on the correct Italian pronunciation (from another English mother tongue trying to do the same!). Brava! 🤩

Well done Shea! Great to see your confidence growing 👍 on a side note, I did my degree in French and Italian purely as I loved languages and I didn't know for sure which career I would end up in. I took a job in investment banking, purely as it required fluency in italian and I'm still working in this sector 20 years later and love it! I still use Italian with colleagues and clients so it all worked out for me career-wise. You never know where it will take you but if you love it, you won't go wrong 😊

Brava Shea.

    4) “come mai” stra usato!
Ti sei fatta capire super bene e stai migliorando tantissimo 😎🔥

Congratulations on your progress and on your plan for staying another 6 months! While learning French I found that going from watching with subtitles to no subtitles was difficult depending on the type of content. With news and documentaries it was fairly easy. With dramas it was very hard. I think you’ll find it a gradual process, especially with all the different accents and dialects in Italy.

If we love it, just go for it. People question me a lot of why I learn Croatian because this is not a popular language and nobody uses it here. I did observation before picking them. Pronounciation is my first consideration whether it suits my tounge or difficult. Besides, I have Italian and Bosnian friends. I really enjoyed your video.
