    Thanks for the info! I’m going through this process now in Philadelphia.. Every consulate has different requirements 🤦‍♂️. “Get more than you think you need,” well said.

    Just found your channel. I'm binge watching to learn all I can. My wife and I hope to retire in Italy. We live in the US, Los Angeles! If we retired now, we would not be making the required $3400 per month for a retirement visa. We do have some savings, and I wonder if a lower monthly income amount with more in savings would work or if they are sticklers about following the income requirements. I am thinking about trying for a student visa otherwise. I need to learn Italian anyway! I read that the student visa may not allow my spouse to come with me. That would be a deal breaker. You could start a business helping English speakers move to Italy!

      Oh that’s great, welcome! I hope you enjoy my videos. 😊 Yes, I know someone who tried for that visa since she was retired but had passive income from her rental properties, but hers was denied unfortunately because I think there was an issue with her income amount. But who knows, every situation is different and you could at least try! A student visa is another great option but true, I’m not sure that a spouse is allowed on that type of visa. Thank you for the suggestion! However I know a few others who already provide those services and they seem to be experts and have more knowledge than I do 😂 But maybe in the future, or at least for student visas!

    This video was so helpful and informative! Thank you for the info! Like you said, there’s definitely kind of a lack of information out there about the whole process. I’m currently in the process of researching student visas, and I was wondering if you renewed yours specifically for another language program? And I’m assuming you renewed it from Italy? I wasn’t sure if you could renew the initial six-month or one-year visa for language a language program for another year, and have had trouble finding answers! Thanks again for a great video!!

      Hi! Yes I just stayed at the same language school and renewed my permesso di soggiorno from Italy. You just have to get another packet of documents from the post office and it includes instructions on what you need to include for a renewal. And instead of marking the box for the first time permesso request, there’s a box to mark for a renewal request. You don’t need to leave Italy, you can do it all there. You just need a new letter from your school to show that you are going to continue your studies as well as some other info like proof of health insurance, housing and enough finances.

      @@SheaJordanAhhh thanks so much, that makes sense!! Do you need to renew the visa, too, or only the permesso di soggiorno?

    • @SheaJordan
      @SheaJordan  4 місяці тому

      @@marisa5527 Just the permesso di soggiorno, the visa is really only for entry and once that is expired, it's done. From then on only the permesso di soggiorno matters

    Curious whether the consul staff were being mean or being Italian. People’s affect in service provision is so different between cultures.

    Solid Video, did they ever ask for your B1 Certificate?

    • @SheaJordan
      @SheaJordan  4 місяці тому

      No, the school wrote in my acceptance letter that I would be entering at a B1 level.

      Grazie! Ma questo commento è per il mio vlog? Perché non so cosa intendi con i pesi riguardo a questo video aha. Ma sì, ho 2 serie di pesi, uno 5 kg e l’altro 3 kg e uso quelli più leggeri per gli allenamenti per le braccia 😊
