Wiring up both Podofo Devices to my bike (temporary) I wanted to do a quick brightness and responsiveness test. The units are quite different and I still don't know which one I prefer! As it happens, got to test their rainy weather performance too! - Авто та транспорт
Great comparison review ..I am really interested in the A3526 did you manage to test voice commands via a headset/cardo or similar. Just curious if music/audio plays ok from phone to headset direct and if voice commands works ok.. Also I have noticed on a lot of these Carplay AA devices that Android auto icons seem a bit smaller when running on the head unit. Did you have any issues with selecting different apps? cheers J
Thanks for taking the time to review these. I'm looking to replace my Zumo XT and your videos are helpful. I wondered, did you connect the GPS antenna for the A3526, or was it not necessary?
Yes I did, and it works. I didn't need it tho, and ended up removing the optional gps box and cable, and just using android auto.
@@smackbikeNZ thanks! Presumably it can't be used stand alone without the phone for navigation now though? I quite like the idea of the redundancy of still having some nav function if my phone dies in the middle of nowhere.
are you still link the 3526 as have one on order , quite looking forward to trying it out.. any issues with small icons in android auto, not that you need to use while riding, Also any luck with say a headset and music /assistance commands ?
Cheers J
The USB-C port on the unit.. is that for charging your phone?
Nice review!
Thanks you!
the mic sounds gr8!
Purple panda.... looks like it's worth the money
Is it possible to plug the podofo A3526 into a USB port to get wired?
I don't believe so, not without some modification. It is 12V hard wired into the back of the unit, so expects battery power. USB is at 5V.
@@smackbikeNZ Thanks! I thought I saw it you doing it on the video
