Adventure Gravel Course | Dropping a GS (and it wasn't mine!)
Had a great day out north of Auckland with Glen from Passmasters who did an all day gravel/adventure course in a paddock with nice slopes. Learned a lot, and increased my confidence in going offroad. Thanks to Steve who let me use, and drop, his lovely GS as mine didn't have knobblies (noob mistake). Also, I found out my Tech Air 5 works.. but I really should rather use a Tech Air Off Road system for offroad ;-)

Splashed out on a new helmet today as I seek quietness and comfort. Will I go premium or budget to find the balance? Also tried out and compared a bunch of earplugs, and then broke something rather expensive :-(

Post GS Rallye I decided to upgrade my GS to a newer LC model, a 2015. Instead of trading in the 2004 GS, I traded in the Sportster! Now I have 2 GS... what was I thinking ? I ordered a brand new 2024 new motorcycle from Cycle Spots on the 31 May. They said 3 weeks.. it's now 7 August! I couldn't wait, so in the interim I pulled the trigger on another old goodie.. a 2004 BMW R1200GS .. a new Gus!

My K100 Cafe Racer has been off the road for 6 months or more, and it was about time to get it sorted! I have been busy with other things, but it has been niggling me, and I finally found the headspace to get it running again, and back.. "into the the wonderful".
