    HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

      @ZKZ123 8 років тому

      +Joshua Chu Is he studying at the same cookery school that Fuchsia Dunlop went to ? I know that Fuchsia Dunlop's books are highly regarded, and that even Chinese people refer to them for authentic recipes.

    • @ZKZ123
      @ZKZ123 7 років тому +1

      Joshua Chu I agree, Dunlop is an academic and an author and has been devoting her life in studying Chinese cuisines. Trevor here is a UA-cam vlogger but can be an easy bridge for those who are not familiar with Chinese cuisines.

    I've lived in Chongqing for 16 years and go out for hotpot every week with the ex-pat lads but I've never seen the pigs feet hotpot. I Will ask my wife if we can try it. Most hotpot ingredients you buy and cook yourself like a fondu, I normally go for potatoes, lotus root, beef, mutton, small fish, small eggs and mushrooms.
    If you don't like spicy food you can have hotpot with a clear broth bit it's really defeating the issue.

    I love your videos! Your editing is getting way better. The camera person seems to be holding there shots stable and at least 23 seconds so the editor(you) has room to work with. Adding address to your content is brilliant. I cant wait for your India videos. Safe travels.

    its so interesting how on the whole, Chinese people are known as very rude and lack social etiquette, but then all the locals in most of Trevor's videos seem so polite and sociable. I wonder if its a case of a few bad apples ruining it for the majority of good apples.

      Dunno where the stereotype comes from. Live here in Canada, and they're a pretty nice bunch.
      However, I have watched some border patrol episodes and the Chinese seem to be the worst offenders when it comes to smuggling illegal produce in their luggage (i.e. a national safety concern), or not declaring when they have more than $10000 on their person (i.e. a regulation to make sure large sums of money are not going under the radar to fund criminal activity, yet they try to bypass it, or are unaware of the regulation), or not declaring large amounts of overseas purchase (I especially saw quite a few young Chinese men going well over their limit of cigarette packs).

      because westerners don't accept this kind of food. Most of them would be like "ew. that's disgusting" or start mocking it. The chinese food in US is like a mix of Vietnamese, Thai, and HK

    我们中国人对一个餐馆的要求是好吃。好吃。分量多。。。欧美国家人对餐馆环境干净和好吃同样重要。。环境不是我们做不到。只是大家都觉得无所谓。好吃最重要。如果我们环境也做的好。。那我们的餐馆是完美的。。中国加油。
