HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Aside from Fuchsia Dunlop, who is the foremost western authority on Chinese cuisines, Trevor here could be the next westerner expert on authentic Sichuan food.

I work at a Chinese buffet and they play his videos on the TV every. single. day. I feel like Ive watched him so much i know all the words to his videos.
Love all your videos. You are a humble man and great embassador representing Western people. Videos is about food but it is also so much more, bridging people together. You and your wife are doing a great job.
Trevor, I am sure you know more than me about cooking, but pig foot does not have any fat at all! Just connective tissue. The texture and flavor is like fat, but it's actually very healthy! :)
Appreciate your sharing as well your sharing your journey with us plus experiences cultures. Your heart is humble & kind with all the people that is so inviting! Thank you!
I've lived in Chongqing for 16 years and go out for hotpot every week with the ex-pat lads but I've never seen the pigs feet hotpot. I Will ask my wife if we can try it. Most hotpot ingredients you buy and cook yourself like a fondu, I normally go for potatoes, lotus root, beef, mutton, small fish, small eggs and mushrooms. If you don't like spicy food you can have hotpot with a clear broth bit it's really defeating the issue.
I'm obsessed with your videos, Trevor. I love learning about the different regional cuisines and hope to be able to travel to China one day! Keep up the great work :)
I wouldn't be able to eat any of the food there if I went to China LOL~ Wayyyyy too much spice for me. And I found it sooo funny how he took the intestine out of courtest :P We all know about his previous horrible experience of eating intestine that wasn't cleaned properly! Also, that's the FIRST time I've seen a local ask you for permission on taking a photo. Props to him for having manners!
