I absolutely love the positive energy from the Baozi man. You can definitely tell that he loves what he does and that he puts his heart and soul into each and every one of those Baozi.
Haha everyone complaining about him going “HMMMMM” so loud and looking around for people to acknowledge him. He’s doing it to acknowledge their work and effort that went into the food. Its not coming from a self centred place he does it to show them how much he appreciates them which is something pure and kind. Albeit he does it excessively.
True, he is one of the politest food blogger i will support. Everywhere he goes, he will pick up the basic language to greet and interact with locals every he go. #Respect
I love how friendly Trevor is :') makes everyone around happy. Don't ever get discouraged, so many ppl appreciate your polite, respectful and friendly way of interacting with locals :D
@Carl Chang Oh really? I thought he was tricking Trevor by not giving him the change. I don't think Trevor as a newcomer give that Bao guy small money in the first place because Trevor didn't know the price of those Baozi. Then again maybe I was wrong.
Your energy is what makes me love your videos. No disrespect when you eat foods you dont like. I love it. And the tourist attempts at socializing. I respect you for rolling with it with a positive vibe.
I’m sure he only acts that way when he’s speaking to foreigners. It seems to me to be a way to convey that he’s a friendly person even if he can’t fully communicate with someone. Also we don’t understand the mannerisms of these cultures. Maybe he’s communicating in a way that seems normal to them but weird to us. I don’t see it as cringe I just think we don’t understand why he acts this way.
I love that lady said I love you, she probably doesn’t know too many English, but she is very friendly. In China we have a strong sense of guest and host, as you a foreigner, we think that you are a guest, as a host, we need to treat the guests well. It is very lovely to see you try all the food, and of course, you won’t like everything, but it is nice to see you at least tried. Haha I am about to cry because missing these food. 😭
Wow everyone is so generous with the serving portions there in China, and I didn’t know there were so many different types of tofu 🥺 wow. Those dumplings look absolutely fantastic I love those, but those noodles at the end are so delicious looking. Great video as always Trevor
It's so amazing. Through your videos, I started loving the Chinese food and many others countries. Thank you so much ❤. And I wish I could travel around the world to enjoy the gastronomy in every land.
The food looks amazing!! I would LOVE to come to China just for the food! Wow. Just... Wow!! ❤️ You're doing an amazing job brother! Keep em' comin'! 👊
lol. I love these videos. I get embarrassed watching them though, hahaha. Every time is like "MMMMMMMMMM!!!!!" and people look at him like "What the heck?" - hahaha it's great.
I m fortunate to be able to taste those delicious food at zian ..biang biang, cold noodle with chili oil sauce, steam dumplings with chili oil sauce, zian burger to name a few and its all halal.
I am from Tianjin. Lcals know that you can find good breakfast at every corner of streets. The first winter vacation I came back from university (in another city), my mom got me different breakfast every morning for 3 weeks straight! Thats how rich our food culture is. I miss my hometown so much!
Too bad the friendly woman, who provided the food for free, on video got the "tai hoa la...mmmm..." but off screen getting the true low rating not or ever going to find out. Too funny, lolz.
".... a symphony of baozi juice ...." How great a description. How much I wish I could make a trip to enjoy it all. But I thankfully have you to go, enjoy and tell me all about. My sincere thanks to you and Ting. I know it takes a lot to do all you do to entertain us. Thanks so very much.
Trevor, he is really good at greeting, cuz that makes Chinese people feel warm, that you guys like Chinese food, and thank for this video, it's really good, i ve learned a lot
I rarely leave comments but what I find super hilarious is that this guy repeats “Good morning” and “Hello” two or three times in a row every time he walks into stores and merely shouts the name of the food he wants to introduce. People in Tianjin are definitely nice cos I’d say “excuse me my name is not dumpling” if I were one of them but they just smile back to him😂😂
I have been there both at end of last year and begining of this year. The trip was fantastic and unbelievable experiences in one of best breakfast city from Northern part in China. You have tried almost all of the real snacks from Tianjin during your day trip in Tianjin. Amazing.. Er gu Bao Zi, Laomian, Jianbing, Guobacai.... I wish I could go back some time in future soon!
😄 I guess all ‘Lao Ban’ got shocked when heard someone greeting them so kind, so polite, so warm and full of smile in the morning 😊 your introduction really make the food taste much much tasty!
Thank you for visiting, finally got the video I wished for lol Should try some liang pi and rou jia mo next time! (also the lamb soup it's my mom's fav)

I Love how Trevor says Mmmmm for everything but gives a honest critique when he gives the Rating.
