Got no idea how much this helps me. I've had the same problem on my e46 m43 engine and replaced the mass air flow sensor and reset the diagnostic system and still nothing . Subscribed!!
I'm having misfire with fuel cut off.. here the list I've installed and replaced with new stuff.. it's so bad I can't even drive the car.. it's a 5spd manual.. haven't been able to change the intake camshaft sensor due to it being stripped.. haven't put the new cat oxygen sensors on it yet. I did all this within 2 weeks trying to get it running. The whole engine is jumping..
1-Fuel Injectors
2-Clutch
3-MAF Sensor,
4-Exhaust Cam Shaft Sensor
5-Ignition Coils
6-Spark Plugs, (NGK)
7-Fuel Pump
8-Intake boot (lower and upper)
9- three radiator hoses
10- Disa Valve
11-Radiator itself
12-Radiator Mounting bracket that holds the Expansion tank
13-Expansion Tank itself
14-Front and Back Brakes Pads
15-Front and back tires (3 times have been changed) gotta replace the back tires
16-Upstream both oxygen sensors
17-crankshaft sensor
Those sensor that have markings grounded off can be actual OEM manufacturer that has removed BMW markings on it. Have seen it couple of times, usually German aftermarket brands.
Love your work, man.
Getting to know this stuff the hard way is expensive and painful. Been there. :D

I just did the oil level sensor, brought a Hella one off Amazon for $57. The bad one that came off mine was a Hella sensor.
Tony Dates that's prob why it was bad
Bmw M3 e46 well the Hella one got the best reviews, all the "China" ones gave everyone issues and they returned them for the Hella one. I just did the job a few days ago so only time will tell.
Tony Dates you know genuine BMW will last the longest
Bmw M3 e46 that's obvious in most cases, but i don't mind taking my chances with an OEM part that plenty of e46 owners have spoken highly of.
Hello Mr. Nathan... I have an e36 n when is running it looses power while pedal it to the metal, it makes piping thru the air filter n the code it has is po340... It idles bad... You think the camshaft might be the issue???
Love it Nathan but I'm having the symptoms like loss of power and when I remove my foot off the pedal the car feels like it lost too much power, sometimes falls on heavy loads. Never changed the camshaft sensor ever, the car has 380 km.
Would it be the case???

Quick question Natan, will this trigger the eml light to come on and random stalling and when reving up the rpm hits 2000 rpm then hits down and misfiring?

I keep seeing a pcv valve replacement for top rear valve cover on a e60 525i + others . Looks like valve cover has to be removed to cut off to remove .if you replace gasket and bolts for cover , is even worth replacing or get a new valve cover . What's your thorts.
Thanks much for the Video. I replaced the CPS "B" exhaust side after a stall & then it would crank but not start. Could a aftermarket CPS go bad in literally 3-4 miles?
Mine is stripped.. that valve thing you gotta take off before the sensor, the long metal thing you unscrewed with the 32 inch .. how do I get it off please help 😢
With bad engine timing would the car still run normal or would it have poor idle ?

Could you list Bmw vendors that you feel are good quality? Genuine Bmw is soooo costly.
I replaced mine and cleared code but it keeps coming back. I even changed both of them with oem

I have a 118 diesel automatic 2009 and have been experiencing some problems intermittently stalling as I pull off from the lights or when I roll to a standstill I put my foot down on the pedal and the idle drops on the car and stalls, other than that the car runs beautifully any ideas advise please is much appreciated. Hello Nathan I have a problem with an BMW e46 1.9 gasoline 1999 , recently I've replace the head gasket and cilinder head and I have problem with the camshaft pozition sensor is showing a error p0340 I've replace the sensor and delete the error and is doing same thing I've replace again with a original sensor and is showing the same error so I've tried two with out my sensor! Have any ideas what can be the cause?

My car stalled when i ran out of coolant.... Follwing that got the camshaft sensor intake code....light went off eventually...now when you turn key it pauses then starts like a dead battery but batteries fine...

My e46 325i have this P0340 issue and it causes the car to turn off itself (automatic gearbox so I doubt that my driving skills are that bad to turn the carr of because of gearing badly...), I wonder if the canshaft sensor change is the only way to fix it. I didn't do it yet, but I really hope this will work...
Did it work? Please let me know. Having the same issue and just dropped off my car to the mechanic today so have it changed. They saying if it doesn’t work then my DME gonna need to be reflashed.
@@yungkaos3500 I had to give my car to the workshop since I broke some metal oil pipe leading to the Vanos and there was a huge leak, they said they will fix it next week, ask me again then, I will try to get the information from the greasemonkey if this was what I was suspecting.
If the yellow oil sensor light comes on everytime you start the engine ( comes on after 10 seconds you start the car and then dissapears ), does it send some kind of signal to the dme that could affect vanos setpoints or does it do anything to the engine powerwise?
Vlad ZSX that means the sensor in the bottom of the oil pan is bad, Thai car does the same thing

No the engine is more than likely out of time , if its on a 4.4l the timing chain guides are prob going out

I have my amazon store link in the description, in the case of this sensor I could not find any, I would recommend buying a meyle off ebay for $50 that is what I usually buy for these cars and never have a issue

BMW dumped his data downloads. cause nothing wrong with car but if you ever had a car shipped to you that you bought they would of cleared the computer, and installed real program, for customer.
