I can’t thank you enough for not interrupting the music. Thank you 🙏 Now if you want to listen to some genuine genius level Steeley Dan, check out Reeling In The Years, FM, Hey 19, Do It Again and My Old School. You won’t be disappointed. ❤
The Royal Scam was their 5th album and released in 1976. I'm a huge Steely Dan fan and have loved their music since the 70's. Try the third song "Don't Take Me Alive" on the same album. It has Larry Carlton with a great solo to start the song and the amazing Bernard Purdie on the drums and Chuck Rainey on the bass. Great Reaction!
WARNING: Steely Dan is the best and deepest rabbit hole in all of music. The main duo, Donald Fagen and the late Walter Becker, have a combined total catalogue of over 130 banger songs. Only about a dozen got airplay, but every damn one was/is worthy of becoming a hit single. Their worst efforts tower above the best efforts of most other musicians.
I am a huge Steely Dan's fan. Great reaction, then you can react to some of the songs, such as Kid Charlemagne, Do It again, Doctor Wu, King of the world. But as you pick one of their song random, you'll discovery a masterpiece!
This is from a promotional video that came out about the same time as the Two Against Nature album did, which picked up a few Grammies. The live music was created in a smallish club in NYC with a live audience and every song is pristine. You would enjoy it. Unfortunately the audio is from the studio rendition. I say unfortunately not because the studio version is bad, it's great! It's just that the musician's movements and singer's lips don't match up with what you hear and you're left wondering, "Who are they trying to fool here?"
Warning ! Prog , fusion ,Psychedelic rock of the time E x p a n d s .. the drummer on the title song Aja was a neighbor for a time in Rochester NY where an annual international jazz festival is held . Thanks for your reaction to the music of my youth . It was a centering escape, refuge for many of us

The unmistakable voice of Michael McDonald in the background...Peeeegggg it will come back to you...
This was a live performance, but it's pretty obvious that the actual album track was dubbed over the video.
Love this reaction typical Steely Dan groove, this is why I loved growing up in the 80's cruising and jamming on some serious vibe like this rock on 🤘
@richardkarram3122 Thank you!

Do the Dan, get a big following. Black Cow next please!
Anything off the 1977 Aja album. Songs like Dirty Work or Do it Again. Deacon Blues.
Big Dan fan here! Too bad that Michael McDonald, who contributed backing vocals, wasn't in the video. Steely Dan has no bad songs
