I'm sure Kong has an affinity of empathy for that review. I've been playing for over 3 years now, and I've only gotten 1 G&L. I'm not 100% sure, but I may have intentionally summoned for them on a destiny banner to get Tiaris's bonds. I missed out on the free G&L event, because early on, I never did the special events.
Funny enough, my last pull was a G&L pity, but I think this is the only time I pulled them on a pity and I’ve had my account almost since launch

You know what is funny for me I know of the G&L thing but I have never suffered it ;P that being said I love how most of these reviews probably didn't play it or are just a bunch of kids angry that they don't get there immediate satisfaction fix.
Virash is my G&L. Even started getting dupes of him in random banners.
I think as far as gacha games go, it's the kind of game anyone can go in F2P and have a good time so long as they understand there's no point in trying to compete in PVP. Most of the game's PVE content (if not all?) can be done F2P with average luck on pulls. And there's a heck of a lot of content actually. Most of these reviews are from the first year after launch and I understand that content was a lot more limited at the time. I think playing from scratch in the game today can be a very fun experience.
Heck, my Freekong account has demonstrated that most of the PvE content in the game can be done, not just with average luck on pulls, but with NO pulls. But I agree, it you don't mind a really slow burn marathon and just slowly and casually making your numbers go up, there's a lot for you to do in this game.
These comments are very comment, I love how the comments describe the real issues with the game, going into real depth about the problems 😂
Realistically I think most of these people are just playing the wrong game.
I do however agree with the challenge events comment, they have been scaling up to current power rather than leaving it base for a lot of them, so it becomes carrot on a stick for a while for anyone new coming in
1,2,3 - anyone can beat, but 4th and 5th has always been a tough challenges for unprepared accounts.
@@JlACb Yep! But 4/5th have had their stats increased to compensate for power creep now, so if you just unlock your best units or best team, but still haven't got the time for troops and gear farming/stat farming. You're still at a disadvantage and won't be able to do them any time soon, just end up becoming further and further apart from the people at the very top as a result.
@@kizzagaming6523 You have a lot of advantages too, like a new meta characters like Awakened or Isolde, Imelda LLR and such. Players of old times used Cherie, Ledin and Tiaris to do every dirty job.
Also, equipment refinement and covenants pushed all stats up.
You can also buy challenge buffs in the event shop, and use a stat salad from the floating gardens. The 4th and 5th challenges have always been a case of "hope you have the right units" and if you do, then it's just a matter of going through the motions for 20 minutes.
@@Kongrisser That is true, forgot about the salad buff being introduced. I think you're probably still behind on stats right? Still that's also another extra thing to manage to be on par with the old power v challenge stuff. Also to JlACb, the requirements for a lot of the new characters isn't as simple as the old ones, the hero pool is bigger, their requirements for unlocks are more and a lot of their unlock counterparts won't see use or are too bad to be played in any meanginful way in pve or pvp, a lot of the old ones synergised with one another fairly passively or unlocked other things you needed.
It's still harder/more requirements to meet, also some things expect that you have a maxed out summon to cheese the new difficulty curve, which is yet another layer on top for someone new coming in, it does help in a lot of other areas but yeah.
Anyway, didn't want to start anything but that is how it's going to feel for someone coming in now, or late. I know when I took a break and came back I really struggled

3:30 hilarious, the reviewer confused 1 star to mean the #1 best rating.
EDIT: Wow, I didn't realize how common this mistake was made. Feels like 10-20% of the 1 star reviews was by this confusion. (sorry too lazy to actually go back thru video to count exact numbers, but it was mentioned quite often in this sample)
This game is nostalgic for a lot of people. New gamers will find it hard to stay long or even appreciate the game. The game actually builds in such a way for China market in mind than those outside China. Gacha mechanic everywhere from heroes to armor enchants and mastery stones, drops for aniki equipment too. Gambling element is the key. Life is like a box of chocolate, you don't know what you're gonna get. Not so suitable for those who hate pay to win or need a lot of resources in trying (gambling? rolling?) to achieve what you want. China game developers are good at this type of game. Those who hate this online version can try the original version on emulator, they sure will love it without the gacha element.
Damn G&L, always ruining my pulls with their death glare!
I'm Surprise nobody doesn't complain about the horrible equipment enchantment rate. 200 SSR scrolls and not once a 15% atk/int roll on weapon is common.
In addition, a good number of 1 star reviews was due to error between the chair & the screen.

This game does have flaws ( as all games do ) but it’s still one of the best mobile games I’ve played in a long time.

I quit a bunch of years ago. How is the game now? PVE back to the scene? I quit because everything turned PVP.
Dam, and G&L was 1 of the few heros to get nerfed....must have been terrible
I played for more than 4 years, and the game is going to hell, they only think about money and the events only repeat themselves, nothing changes, I gave up playing this game and wasting more time, even if it was just for a few minutes.
I don't disagree!
