For the BROKEN HEART: One of Lemon Balm’s popular names in my language could be loosely translated into “Heart’s Delight”, so once in my late teenage years, when I had a broken heart over some crush on a boy (such a natural part of being young - falling in and out of love!), I munched some leaves of lemon balm from my mother’s herbal garden and hoped it would soothe my aching heart a little bit. And the effect was subtle, yet effective! It really took the edge of my 💔 feeling, I do remember (and the boy in question I have long since forgotten 😊!). My own children are that same age now, and I will definitely make a tincture to have handy if their teenage hearts happen to need some gentle “mending”. Or if exams stress them out, or something. - Thank you for a lovely video, and for the reminder of how wonderful this friendly herb Lemon Balm is!

There are a few ways of preserving ginger. One is just store in the fridge. My lasts a couple of months. Another is cut into small pieces and dehydrate great for using in nause/digestive tea. But fir cooking, my favorite method is to peel, cut into chunks, place in the food processor or a blender and turn into paste. Hello Luli, you are a great lady. I have a silly question to ask, the drops are for the vodka , correct? What will you do with the leaves ? You throw them ? Thank you
Thank you. I have a mill and have tried the whole wheat berries. I believe it’s the amount of gluten content in wheat that is the problem. Red hard wheat berries have high gluten content about 12-13%. Spring soft wheat contains less. Rye berries have even lower around 3%. However, it will not produce that soft risen bread.
Loved this video! Thank you so much for sharing. I just have one question. How is this administered? Is it dropped under tongue....? directly into mouth.....?
Thank you for your question. Fresh leaves can be used, but it would be more of a broth than tea. Still delicious. When using fresh herb must increase the amount of herb.
I make a lot of tinctures but lately wanted to get away from the alcohol and started using vegetable glycerin ...I usually heat the glycerin with the herb so I may try making a tincture with out heating with some lemon balm... lemon balm loves my yard & grows all over in my garden area..I am gonna harvest the first of some tomorrow ...it is getting tall already and is only middle of May here...I am always interested in how other ppl use hebs and make their tinctures or lotions...
Glycerine is a vegetable alcohol... However it can trigger diabetes issues...be warned. Remember glycerine tinctures shelf life is not as long ...if alcohol concerns you... Just make tea and add your tincture to hot tea..wait 30 seconds and alcohol will be cooked out ... Also alcohol tinctures you use by 3-5 drops at a time... That's very little alcohol.
