The items from Lululemon surprised me, I'm gonna have to grab some pieces on my next trip since sadly there are not Lululemon stores in my country. Also the Tooletries Scrubber looks very promising, I'm gonna have to try that one too
In the last version of this list people asked for non-wool and plus size suggestions and y'all mentioned you were working on a new version. I notice this doesn't include those--will those be in a separate video? I'm all for monochrome, tho I'd love to see a monochrome video where y'all pick a non-neutral color! Challenging! :D
This is a list that should give viewers general ideas on what to pack. People watching are not obligated to follow every little recommendation. So many demands and criticisms for this or that in the comments...tsk, tsk. Next thing y'all will be needing is someone else to do your thinking and your packing for you. While not all of the items in this video apply to me or are available for me, I've picked up stuff that'll work as alternatives. Maybe y'all can do the same...?
I'm a female digital nomad traveling full time, so I had to watch this right away! I guessed it wouldn't be my style, since I'm more into pretty bags and dresses, but I do pack some of these items! Icebreaker bra and shirt, Darn Tough socks, etc. I'm going to look into A Day's Made it Shirt! Sounds cool. 🌺 Heidi
Hallee With A Flair does some amazing hacks for plus size women. I don't agree with all her tips but her ideas about travel wardrobe are pretty good. This is a chic who does 1 bag travel as a professional woman working in hospitality (if memory serves me). It's pretty impressive
I would like to see a bra option for those with a generous chest measurement that requires serious support. That Icebreaker bra is a disaster for anyone over a B Cup! 🤣Some women have had issues with underwires setting off scanners... who knew?! Sadly, the stacking makeup has not the best shade range. The evolution top was exciting... but at over NZD$200, well out of my budget; the same applied to the stockings. NB: Castile soap is not recommended for use on coloured/bleached hair as it is drying and leads to breakage.
I agree on your first point! Am constantly on the hunt for the best option. But I'm actually intrigued by those stockings. Largely because I've recently become a huge fan of throwing in an extra pair (or 2) when I do cold weather travel - for easy layering that is super quick dry when washed each night. That extra layer can make all the difference OR if your thermals are taking longer to dry than anticipated
Nice list. Would love for prices to be included so you don’t have to comb through all the links to figure out prices. Also price categories such as budget, intermediate, and high would be nice.
the extra monochromatic clothing is very depressing imho, I like to add at least one piece of vibrant color to my outfit especially on summer or spring.
Agreed! Although, you can travel carry-on only with a 40 litre backpack, so I would include some colourful or patterned skirts and dresses to diversify my options when travelling. You can also add colour with accessories like scarves, hats, hair clips and jewellery :)
Completely agreed. I’d want more diversity in terms of color, pattern and texture. I’m sure it can be done while still being minimalist, but I don’t see it often here on UA-cam.
I would really like a plus size female packing list, but actually plus size like 3x because an XXL is not the same as a 2X. As a plus size the backpacks too are fit differently due to body size
I would love to see your recommendation for a wheeled carry on bag and personal carry-on item for older women who can no longer carry backpacks and need something slightly larger than the sling you’re showing. Thank you!
Hey there, Teresa! We recommend checking out the different bags & luggage options on our site to find a pack that suits your needs: packhacker.com/travel-gear/category/bags-and-luggage/ -Eric
I LOVE that they always recommend backpacks. Even older seasoned travelers recommend backpacks. This is the main reason I give credence to this channel
@@PackHacker I posted up above and saw this--in your last women's list many people commented about plus sizes and someone on staff mentioned an update was coming so I was surprised to see this without plus options. Far from the first time this has been suggested!
I'd love it if you could create a digital nomad packing list (especially clothes) on budget. I love your videos, but I do find some products are out of my price range x
I really like the monochromatic color scheme - very minimal and classy all the way around. Super versatile for travel. :) Thanks for a great video Lauren!
Love love love this video and seeing a womens specific gear video! As a woman who one bag travels it’s so great to find resources for womens specific clothes and gear. Thanks for making this and would love to see more like this!
I don't think I would want to travel with period pants - IMHO, it would be too difficult to wash them out and dry them enough to re-wear the next day and packing multiple pairs would just take up too much space unless you planned to use them for daily use. Also, if I was taking the clothing in this list, I'd eliminate the tights and use the leggings under dresses instead just to save on space. But I'm not a trousers person, I only wear dresses, so I tend to travel with several dresses or skirts/t-shirts.
@@Delacruz916 true, but you'd still need multiple pairs as they take ages to dry. Unless you had radiator or heated towel bar, I don't think they'd dry overnight. Mine don't.
@@beccajanestclair I'm just replying to you saying "packing multiple pairs would just take up too much space unless you planned to use them for daily use". In which I replied that she DID mention to wear them either way...so why would it take up "too much space" if you're taking what you need?
The packing list itself is very usefull - but it is soo weird to hear the exact same lines of text coming from male and female versions (watched both one after another). It really makes the video less believable.
A ton of items roll over, but the things that don’t are often some of the most important! Check out the full page for more information: packhacker.com/packing-list/digital-nomad/ -Eric
All black ??? Would've been nice to see some actualy color and/or print for real ideas about a mix-and-match wardrobe. Certainly not wearing a SWAT/militia/mourning wardrobe in hot weather, or anywhere else for that matter. Also extremely difficult to see any detail when every single thing is black. Anyone at Pack Hacker wear happy clothes for happy travels?
YES! And other personal bags that aren't backpacks for those of us who carry handbags. I use more skincare than what's featured in this video and a little more colour in my wardrobe but great advice. Thank you for creating a womens version!
While I'm grateful Pack Hacker saw the need for this video, I'm disappointed. I'm not going to go into specific examples but I felt the overall wardrobe aesthetic was too bland and focused on women with a petite/sporty figure (whereas I know there's at least 1 woman on the team with a fuller figure). I feel a better approach would be to itemize categories of clothing then list options for various figure types, eg dresses or bras etc Maybe they could do another video focusing just on women's travel wardrobe options?
Good video. I disagree about those lace up boots - they are unattractive to wear in a biz meeting. Foldable black ballet flats would be a better choice. The LBD was sort of ugly, too... Also, if you use the buff then you don't need that headband... Instead of packing a bra AND black cami, I wear a combination bra cami. I use a sarong for blanket, wrap, and swim coverup... In general, I wear as much as I can on travel day so I can pack as little as possible. I eventually went from an insane overpacker to a calm light packer... also, thx for electric toothbrush tip!
I agree about that dress although mostly cos it's long sleeved. If you're only doing cold weather that's fine but if you're going to encounter heat I think a short sleeve or sleeveless dress that you can layer under and over is a far more versatile option And maybe cos I'm a bbw I think it's better to travel with a 2 piece and make sure both pieces can double as underwear. That 1 piece she's wearing would be laughable on me
All pack hacker videos seem to feature all black clothes, shoes, bags. Can’t you change that up? The majority of travelers don’t want to wear exclusively black.
I agree, although I see these videos as the ‘bare minimum’ rather than a complete packing guide. There are comfortable backpacks for women that can hold up to 40 litres capacity (if you are looking to travel carry-on only). Then you can include more colourful or patterned options. That said I am not a true minimalist and I think these videos are made for the more hardcore travellers among us 😅 I definitely need more than two pairs of underwear, especially if I’m staying in a hostel where washing machines aren’t always commonplace and waiting for underwear to dry can be more time consuming than expected…
You don't have to choose the same colors, you can buy the items to suit your style. Also with things like the dress you can jazz it up with a scarf &/or belt. Get colorful tights. I like mainly monochromatic myself, but I do like to add a few colorful items and greys.
