Have you thought about becoming a Digital Nomad? 💻🎒🗺
I'm already one and thanks to both of you I'm better equipped =)
how is life as a digital nomad ?
yes, I also thought to be a millionare
Yss
I am a digital corgi
The one thing you don’t talk about enough is security with the products. One should not put their cash and credit cards in the same billfold. Separate your money and credit cards in different pockets or places. Doesn’t hurt to keep a fake wallet either in case you have to give one up. Other things to consider as well but I never put all my important items in the same place on me or my carry bags.
Good stuff. Imagine having a fake wallet filled with store rewards cards haha
Or used gift cards!
Yep, sane thing to do. My veteran dad taught me this
Love the list! For me Bellroy’s Travel Wallet - it's just perfect. One constant in all my trips. The quality, style and aesthetic makes it an absolute winner for me.
Thanks for watching! 😃
-Eric
I'm also going to say my favorite on this list is the Roost laptop stand. I was a kickstarter backer for v.1 of this stand, and I have been promoting it, gifting it, and using it pretty much non-stop since that day. Since I am a digital nomad, and work on my laptop every day, this is probably my favorite piece of digital nomad travel gear. (After that, I'd probably pick the Aer Day Sling, although I personally prefer the Bellroy Venture slings.)
The Roost V3 Laptop Stand has been a life-changing product for me. Its compact size and easy setup have transformed any table into a functional workstation. I've used it consistently over the past six months, whether traveling or not.
Such a fantastic and comprehensive list. I love what you do with this series. Every time I see it it is even more helpful.. Love it. The videos that you add with you two wearing and using the tools is awesome. Thanks so much for the work yo put into these. Great job.
Thanks for watching 😃
-Eric
The Hero Clip for me, is, as the name says, a real hero to keep my stuff safe and close while dining. I always keep one close by for EDC, travel, or hikes.
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙
-Eric
Awesome list! For me, the one indispensable item on the list has to be the Heroclip. I have a bunch of Heroclips in various sizes - but especially in Small and Medium. I have a Small Heroclip in the inside pocket of every coat to make it easy to hang my coat everywhere from a public restroom to the door of a wardrobe in a smaller hotel room. I've also use the Small Heroclip to hang a small daypack from the back of a beach chair, and to clip the same bag to a metal bar in an off-road vehicle to keep it from flying out! :-) The Medium Heroclip finds a place in every backpack and carryon that I use for both business and pleasure travel. The last thing I want to do is to set my backpack or briefcase on a dirty floor in a public restroom. This also makes it easier to access personal items like deodorant and a toothbrush when freshening up in that same public restroom. I also find it a little easier to attached my water bottle to the Medium Heroclip and a handle on my pack to keep it from popping out and rolling around. I definitely recommend picking up Heroclips - but get one or two extras for when your friends ask, "What is THAT?"
Thank you for sharing, Shep! We’re always learning new uses for the HeroClip 😃
There are so many great things in this list. The one that surprised me as to working like it should is the Matador Flatpak Soap bag. I travel quite a bit and always pack a small bar of soap regardless of my destination. This Matador product is perfect!
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙
-Eric
Love the list! So many great items.
My favorite on the list is my iPhone 14 Pro. It’s so useful and helpful in most any situation.
I love the Aer Travel Pack 3. I have been looking into getting one for when I plan to go on my first solo trip to a different country. I want to use it as a carry-on so I don’t have to worry about keeping it in the luggage hold on the plane. Also, try and pack things minimally! It would also be useful for when I go on work domestic trips which have been common recently. The current bag I use is very uncomfortable and not built for luggage.
A feature of this bag that I like is that it has a separate laptop compartment with pockets where I can take out easy-access accessories.
I have an Aer Duffle Pack and the straps have been comfortable when commuting with a heavy load.
As an air commuting AUDHD man with dogs that select items by cost to chew, this channel will save me many cash and and reduce stress so extend life expectancy
Massive 👍 for this video! Tons of jam packed content efficiently presented. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! 🤙
-Eric
I love the small but mighty Tom Bihn Ghost Whale Pouch 4:23 . I love having my smaller need items (flashlight, micro SD, AirPods, etc.) inside of one of these that I can easily transfer from pouch to backpack to sling without Especially if you are a gear swapper like me these are a must. Not to mention, if you have other Tom Bihn gear the clip systems are amazing to use ✌️
Thanks for sharing, Zach! 🤙
-Eric
Mogics Super Bagel is amazing! Been with me on every trip since late 2018. Great choice for anyone, especially international travelers.
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙
-Eric
I went to Thailand for a month with just my passport and a wallet and was completely fine
I love the Matador flatpak soap case, I discovered it a few years ago and LOVE how much smaller it makes carrying a bar of soap compared to typical hardshell soap cases (which are more prone to leaking anyway).
Although I would suggest the Philips One by Sonicare over the Quip toothbrush. It's almost identical in size but is significantly stronger in vibration. I used the Quip for about a year before trying the One and the difference in strength was immediately noticeable when I turned it on.
Love this vid! Always look forward to it. Good work team 🎉
Thanks for watching! 🤙
-Eric
I've been loving my roost v3 laptop stand. its been perfect for work travel lately. I've also had others comment on it and asked more about it.
Solid list. The editing for the clothes portion was really cool.
After searching for the unicorn travel shoe I found Saola who does a waterproof lifestyle sneaker in the Cannon model. I think they do several iterations of that shoe so you have to look for the waterproof version. Good traction, foam midsole, vegan leather and 100% waterproof. Used it as my one shoe to Portland OR in the winter and it was perfect. Nice enough to dress up and casual enough to dress down. Only thing I’ll say is you 100% should size up a half size but they send out your exchanges super quick.
Thanks for sharing! 😃 I'll pass along your suggestion.
-Eric
Great video! Tons of great items included but my favorite is probably the Aer Travel Pack 3. I've been researching carry-on compatible travel backpacks for months and keep coming back to the Aer. I really like the aesthetics of the bag compared to a lot of the other options and it appears to be made to last. I'm planning on ordering before my next trip and am really thankful for the discount for Pro members!
Thanks for watching 😃 See you in Pro!
-Eric
Quick question: How much does your whole bag weigh when fully packed? (Excluding stuff you carry in your pockets and a full water bottle)
Aer is great. It's a wonderful system. Every single thing I've used from them makes me happy .
I love that, as Pros, we have access to the packing videos. Those were great to watch.
I'm contemplating getting a super bagel.
I tend to be pretty solid on cables, and I've tried to use short ones, but this system looks pretty good.
I think I'd really like to try those new outlier shorts as well.
Thanks for watching! 😃 See you in Pro!
-Eric
Great packing list!
The Twelve South AirFly Pro is my favorite choice as it has been the biggest conversation piece on my travels.
Using it heavily on planes and hotel rooms to connect to the TVs and play on either my Airpods Pro or my Sony WH1000XM3 Bluetooth. To avoid the AC noise and to avoid disturbing the neighbors. Quick connection and efficient setup.
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙
-Eric
Big fan of the Matador On-Grid Packable Backpack. It's unstructured but my use cases have been when traveling with the fam (2 young kids) and we overpack the stroller or the other stuff... boom you have a place to put all that extra stuff. It's pretty durable and inexpensive enough that I feel somewhat comfortable just letting it get tossed around.
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙
-Eric
I bought the Roost V3 Laptop Stand because of the previous version of the packing list.
Initially I just wanted a good laptop stand, but now it won’t leave my bag, I use it at home, at work, while traveling.
I have used other stands in the past but the grip and height levels make this one the best.
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙
-Eric
Could yall have one of the ladies try all the convertible travel clothing from Diane Kroe? Or then try all the diy versions of the wrap pants/dress and wrap cardigans? Thst would be a cool video.
As an alternative to Merino, I've started to use bamboo blends, especially for socks and underwear. They are cheaper, more hard-wearing, and still have similar and antimicrobial properties.
I agree, I just love bamboo.
Fav brands?
Most importantly they're VEGAN. How can one justify enjoying the 'freedom of traveling' while others are being deprived of their basic rights for your 'gear' (their body parts) bc of species...?!
@@isabelc2131 I eat the sheep first from nose to tail then it doesn't have to worry. Meanwhile your vegan diet literally kills tens of thousands of birds, voles, mice, snakes and insects every time you stick a piece of tofu down your stupid mouth. What about their rights, or do you only care about cuddly animals that humans domesticated?.....
Great content! Keep up the outstanding work.
Thanks for watching! 😃

The gosun untensils saved me at the hospital. Thank you for that!!
Thanks for watching! 😃
-Eric
Great Video. Thank you for posting.
Thanks for watching 😃

Those ghost whale pouches look epic!!! Added to my WANT list!!!
Thanks for watching 😃
-Eric
Thailand!!!
I have the exact AER slim tech pouch and it’s probably the best tech pouch out there for the price. It’s definitely the most underrated piece of carry from AER.
It lives in my office work pack, fits all my tech perfectly. It’s my go to recommendation if anyone asks for a tech pouch.
Also the roost stand is worth the money. I have had cheaper ones from Amazon before, but the roost stands is the best out of the lot, by far
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙
-Eric
My favorite item would undoubtedly have to be the matador soap bar case. I don’t know how they do it but this case has saved me the hassle of dealing with zip locks bags that get all messy or bulky soap cases that take up space in your bag.
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙
-Eric
Always nice to find out the new items y’all suggest! Adding some to my next list 😊
Thanks for watching! 😃
-Eric
Was happy to see this update :). Subbed
Thanks for watching! 😃
-Eric
Thank you
Having watched many videos from this channel for years, I'm always glad to see some personality interjected into these videos usually between talking about products. I think you say "bagel" just fine!
😃😃
Love the sling life and almost went with the Day Sling, but decided on the Travel Sling 2 for its larger size to carry my digital kit all together as a daily driver. Carries my MacBook Pro, Roost Stand, Logitech keyboard, mouse and all the cables in a really organized way with room to spare to change it up depending on the day.
Need to give the Super Bagel and inCharge cable a try soon. Looks way easier to pack up compared to the Anker power extender which gets relegated to the bigger bag if it travels.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along 😃
-Eric
Owning plenty of items from that very handy list, its really hard to choose one. So let me start with 2 honorable mentions:
Peak Design packing cubes. Finally i do not have chaos inside my carry on backpack.
Matador On-Grid Packable Backpack. Survived changeable English weather at music festival during last summer. Served well during day trips too.
But my most favourite item is Rolling Square’s inCharge X cable. Using both short and 1.5 m versions.
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙
-Eric
This content is so good I feel like I owe you money
😂😂😂
haha glad to see the "Bae-Gul" tip come in use. really love'd this video but my bank account is shaking! especially loved seeing your work set up
Thanks for watching! 😃
-Eric
Great video…Thank you…!!!
Thanks for watching 😃

Got the Bellroy Dopp Kit after watching this video and it feels more premium than any Dopp Kit I've ever had. At 60 € it should too.
Love those AER products
Thanks for watching! 🤙

Honestly, the peak design packing cubes are a game changer. I’ve never used packing cubes before, so after watching your videos on them, I decided to purchase 3 small cubes for my 10 day trip to Florida last December. I used 1 cube for one pair of pants and three long sleeve shirts. The second cube I packed 6 t shirts and 5 pairs of shorts and the third cube had 6 pairs of socks and 6 pairs of boxers. I could have fit more clothes in them, but I had a washer and dryer at my Airbnb. I can’t recommend these packing cubes enough.
Nice updates! I already have aer tp3, matador backpack and peak design packing cubes, but my next wannabe item is going to be those barefoots :) i hope it's eco leather
Thanks for watching! 😃
-Eric
I've started to travel with reversible shirts and hoodies, especially from Faherty Brand. They are not Merino, but especially for an overshirt or hoodie it's fine and you get two for one!
Thanks for sharing your insights! 🤙
-Eric
I do like the design of the Aer travel bags, but it is hard for me to justify their use since even the smallest Flight Pack weights more than 25% of my total packing weight.
Also Tom learning how to say *Bay-guhls* is my most rewatched part of this video :D
Thanks for sharing! 😃 Put that part on repeat 😂
-Eric
The weight of the bag is always my number one consideration for travel bags. Bags like Peak Design with all their excessive magnets is just too much for one-bag travel. I've swapped Aer for Tom Bhin for the weight and comfort of their bags. Maybe it's just me but Aer backpack straps are just too uncomfortable for long carries.
This is amazing
Thanks for watching! 🤙
-Eric
great organization
🤙🤙🤙
Anker 737 Charger. Form factor is small compared to the power output - nice to travel with.
Apple Airtags have come in pretty handy too. Whether it's to find my keys or to track my check-in bag. It's been reliable to know exactly where my stuff is.
Thanks for the comment, David! They both make travel a little easier 😃
Nice one! Good job team! The Roost Laptop Stand is a must have. It has quickly become a key item on my bag. In fac, I'm using it as I type this :D
I had to get a knockout because roost shipping was as much as the stand itself. Got a 20% larger stand for 20% price
Knockoff. Thanks autocorrect
🤙🤙🤙
I remain in the Windows world. I used to get paid to develop programs for Windows and not for Mac OS. My laptop has a keyboard that flips over, so a stand that relies upon the hinge to the screen would not work. My Windows 10 tablet has a separate keyboard. There is a matching keyboard but I can use any other. The tablet is smaller, lighter, with smaller power supply but the laptop has a touch pad. Both work with the same active pens. For the 8" screen I needed a docking station for the ports but not for the laptop. So kit either out ended up the same weight and volume but packed differently.
From my hotel room I was able to login to my computer back home, transfer the photographs and video clips to it for back up, editing and posting a blog online.
Finally, I had to wait for your latest UA-cam. I believe in one of your older UA-cam video you talked about security gadgets one being a zapper or stun device. Can you help me?
Air Pods Pro 2. I would love to hear opinions on their use for a long haul air trip.
Amazing video, a lot of useful items to look into as I’m trying to reduce and grow towards a minimalistic travel style! What’s the size of the Tom Bign Ghost Whale pouch? 😊
Friday packgazm! Nice!
Regarding crystal deodorants. They are quite heavy indeed. But only when they are new.
I purchased smallest available crystal deodorant and used it for 1 year every day. Now it has 15-20% of original size and may be used for travel. Now it is the most lightweight and most compact of any deodorant options!
Thanks for sharing! 😃
-Eric
Does it work as an antiperspirant as well? It's great not to smell but wet sticky underarms are not very comfortable....
@@liorajacob8094 No. Crystal doesn't have antiperspirant effect. It may be a disadvantage for some people.
But for me this is an advantage, because natural sweating helps me bear extremely hot weather. Otherwise I risk to overheat.
please do a recommendation on umbrella
I like all your videos and they helped me a lot to optimize my pack. The only thing that I do not understand: how are you dealing with weightlimits of cabin luggage? From European airports this differs between 7 to 8 kg. I could only manage the weight by limiting my tech equiment, using a superlight 1,100 kg laptop and a 700 g backpack. I assume the weight of all your equipment must be over 9 kg. Is there a special trick that I missed? 🙂
Picked up a bunch of new items I want to get for my own pack from this video. Thank you for the latest gear recos!
Thanks for watching! 😃
-Eric
Exactly the content I wanted, at exactly the right time 👌🏾 thanks guys!
Thanks for watching! 😃
-Eric
todd, my wife is starting to get mad that I'm wanting to buy all these things you're suggesting
This guy digital nomads
😎
Everyone’s got their workflow but using USB key to transfer files seems an odd choice to me when you could just plug the phone directly to the computer with the cables you have right there (and lightning adapter). It does automatically create a backup though. Do you find using a key is faster/more efficient?
I don't get how the incharge cable charges micro USB, does the lighting tip do double duty?
Absolutely love my RE:FORM wallet - I've got the coin variant, but it holds everything I need and stays super slim. The material is very unique and feels super sturdy. Been rocking it as my daily carry wallet for a while now, and I highly recommend it!
Thanks for sharing! 😃 Any plans to upgrade?
-Eric
Has the men's packing list been updated to version 3 on the website? If so, please provide a link. I can only find version 2.
I use a surface pro for light weight and space.
I particularly appreciate the women's clothing suggestions
Thanks for watching 😃
Hey the tweezers and clippers allowed in carry on bag?
Very nice video and good tips but we can't call this a minimalist list since a lot of those things are not essential at all.
14:00 When you connect that battery to your laptop it start to charge your laptop but what if you want to charge that battery from your laptop?
What is the hoodie you're wearing in this video? Thank you
Could you find a solar power station or I guess a mini solar generator that can power stuff like an electric kettle that boils water and/or a c-pap machine, but is smaller that a solar generator and still more power than those solar bricks that just run stuff like your phone? Ideal size would be about the size of a toiletries bag. Ideally light enough to fit in your backpack and you can hang the solar panels on the backpack while you're walking around. Or you can daisy chain a few panels you could spread out on a bike trailer...
What about tissues/ wet wipes? I get this is about travel without kids but tissues are handy
My favorite from this list is probably Peak Design packing cubes. The tear away opening is my favorite feature of any packing cube I have ever used.
Thanks for sharing! 😃
-Eric
I’ve been eyeing that travel pack 3 from Aer. Love the look and organization offered. This could be my ideal one pack to travel with and I have multiple trips on the way.
It’s a great pack, James! What’s your favorite feature?
-Eric
@@PackHacker For me it’s the quick access pocket and the organization.
Nice choice! 🤙
AirTags don't work for stolen items, only lost. Thieves can easily use the anti-stalking features to turn them off.
Agreed the aer travel pack just hits all the right notes
What’s your favorite thing about the pack? 🧐
-Eric
@@PackHacker the organization, the comfort, the materials, I use it in conjugation with the packing cubes and rain fly....I like them so much I wanted to buy the city pack for an edc but they just look way too similar and I can't justify the price for a smaller identical bag..no matter how much I love all of it
Thanks for sharing! 😃
-Eric
Is there a list of every PH Top Puck?
maybe you can check out the Royal Kludge RK925 Foldable Mechanical Keyboard
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.
-Eric
Please make a list for content creators, travel youtubers 😊
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along 😃

Does anyone know if you can buy tiny vials of saline solution for contacts? The 2 oz are still too big. And what does everyone do about first aid? Am I the only one who travels with bandaids, vitamin C, alleve, ibuprofen, etc?
You're definitely not alone with the first aid kit. : - ) Tour guide Sarah Murdoch calls her expanded version a Box of Awesome, and has great ideas for things to include. Advil, a strip of moleskin, or some powdered ginger capsules for motion sickness can transform misery to adventure, and a single Benadryl can literally save a life.
Sonicare one is a better but still compact alternative to quip
Can you review on convertible tote bags please
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along 🤙
-Eric
do they get the irony that this is a list of 80 things for “minimal” travel?😂
This is simply a list to help you pick out a few things that you can use to optimize your pack out! You don’t need to buy every item 🤙
Even when you put in all the work some people always find things to complain about whilst forgetting common sense at home. Great work guys, really helped me out. Really came in handy!😊
They didn’t say the travel is minimal, they said the products are minimal
I would really like to recommend the Framework laptop as an alternative to the Macbook. More repairable, and more durable.
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.
-Eric
I love these videos! Too bad many brands are not available in germany
For those who use a second screen, does anyone have a recommendation on a packable secondary display?
Gonna get the yoga book 9i! Solved!
Does anyone else prefer inner jacket pockets to smaller bags? I don’t find myself using a bag as often as I used to -apart from when bigger bags are necessary. But I do wish there was a convertible jacket that you can use as a bag or something else IF you feel hot. (I’m usually wearing a jacket even on super hot days, but it’s be good to have the option.) I would rather have just a jacket OR just a bag, but I can’t do without a jacket because I get cold easily.
Not entirely sure why would you choose the Magic Mouse with its awful charging port, over a Magic Trackpad if given the choice. Slimmer and better flow for work imo. Not a macbook person but I had to use one for work for about 3 years, and I can't complain about their trackpads. For a seamles Windows/Mac experience I would go with Logi's MX Mechanical Mini and MX Anywhere 3. For extra ergo I would go for Targus Ergo keyboard, and either the magic trackpad if mac or the mx anywhere or mx master if pc.
Thanks for sharing your insights 🤙

Hello Everyone,
My Favorite item on the Digital Nomad list that I use whenever I travel has to be my AER Day Sling 3.
I love AER products
Thanks for watching 😃
-Eric
Change magic mouse for MX Anywhere S3. Magic mouse cant be used while charging. That's a deal breaker for me
What are your experiences with taking wool to laundromats in foreign countries? Do they properly wash and dry the wool or do you handwash everything in the bathroom?
They'll ruin it
Hand-wash. It's the biggest Downside with Merino. Well, that and the fact that it creases so much you have to iron it!
Teva sandals looks nice and comfortable but those Teva sandals straps will smell stinks after couple walk in the rain storms😢 that's why I never buy Teva again 😢
