Learning about Nascar on UA-cam has helped me understand why my dad loves it so much. I was a baby napping on his chest when Dale died, and he hasn't watched Nascar since, really, so I never watched it or thought about it much until watching channels like SlapSh0es. My dad and I don't have a lot of shared interests, so it has helped me connect with him a bit.

They should flag it. The content belongs to them! The point of being a content creator is to CREATE content. Be original and understand that it's your job to do that. Plagiarism wasn't okay in your school years, and it ain't okay in your adult years. BE CREATIVE.
I don't think you know what plagiarism is...... quoting from a source that you clearly acknowledge was made by someone else, is required in most academic settings. you have to do it to show you're not making everything up or drawing ridiculous conclusions. including nascar content in a youtube video to tell a story, explain a concept or make an argument isn't plagiarism. the only kind of nascar youtube video that would be plagiarism are the ones that are just clips edited together with nothing additional from the video maker.
A LOT of UA-cam creators use Fair Use as an argument for the content they feature, however I'd be willing to bet 99% of those UA-camrs have never spoken to a lawyer and have no idea what the fair use law actually allows. As someone who works in the newspaper industry and has dealt with fair use a lot, essentially it doesn't say what you think it does. Fair Use does NOT allow UA-camrs to use NASCAR's copyrighted content the way that MOST do. The only thing NASCAR has done wrong is not pursuing this sooner, as by not pursuing it, they have made others feel like what they are doing is OK.
It's so weird to see people getting mad about something that has been going on for several years. Fair use was reduced to nothing for people using movies or music back in like 2017, and it's been an abstract concept more and more since then.
JC, with all due respect, *this* hasn't been going on for several years. NASCAR has never been much of an issue when it comes to small excerpts of content being supplemented with original commentary and production, or in other words "fair use." Now a bunch of channels have been claimed practically overnight. The concept may not be a new one, but in our circles, we hadn't seen anything like this until recently.
@@bcschneider53 Yeah this has been going on with album reviews, music reactions, movie review, movie reactions, etc. for a very long time. The system was created so media groups can decide for themselves what is and isn't fair use when others are using their content.

This is so ridiculous because 90% of these videos are supporting NASCAR and helping foster a community. NASCAR doing this will alienate fans even more and stop growth.
It's Brian France, he was drunk again and left unsupervised. Again
As long as they don't try to take down the full race channels like me like a certain someone on here tried to a few years back, I don't care.
Ngl if they go forward with this then I won’t make anymore nascar related videos
I honestly dont watch anything from nascar on youtube i only watch the informative videos the real people post on here, so definition nascar needs to think about what they will be hurting more than gaining
NASCAR you need these fans on UA-cam and this is getting out of control they are trying to help you grow the sport and this is what you doing to them unbelievable i mean this is terrible and you guys i feel sorry for you guys and girls who want to get new fans interested in the sport and f1 and indycar wants you to terminate your videos or chanenls and you guys go ahead and please give me your thoughts and feelings about this im surprised that nascar hasn't taken away your channels down like f1 and indycar do just to threaten you.
HA! This is hilarious, people rely on this income! So do other crims. I haven't laughed so hard in long time. Well done.
Something tells me they didn't like slaps 2nd to most recent video
It's highway robbery is what it is
I was wondering when NASCAR was going to stop people from abusing there content.
You shouldn’t be getting paid for fair use materials as you don’t own the content. Post it, but don’t get upset about not getting paid.
Lol maybe NASCAR should actualy put out content thats watchable on youtube before pissing off the people that actually do. Like the only somewhat nascar-sanctioned content i like is dale jr download and denny hamlins podcast. Even then, Jrs podcast has been going downhill hard this year and the co-host just left. The races are gonna be require like 3 or 4 different services. Theyre gonna kill the sport and milk every drop on the way out.
BYOC
C=Content
NASCAR is not user friendly
This really sucks you guys make educational and fan point of view opinions thing about the sport o hope UA-cam remove the claims
ElitePrecison 29 is also getting Demonetized what the hell is this
a 15 year old me made a video about this a few years back
ua-cam.com/video/s64J-Rjl-sU/v-deo.htmlsi=2F2qWilUmCGg47Qa
very poor quality but it kinda feels like a repeat of what happened in 2019
(also poorly opinionated)
(again pardon my 15 young and dumb self, wasnt as smart back in 2019
UA-camrs help promote the sport, just to get kicked in the nuts by the sport. Racing has become toxic in general so im REALLY not surprised
