Congratulations on a wonderful capture. I’m so grateful that the profundity and wisdom of The Way has been shared in this way. Thank you for including me and my music in your film.
Hey, Forté! It’s great to hear from you. None of this would have been possible without everyone who trusted me with their stories. I’m the one who should be grateful! You and your music elevated this piece to a different level!
Hi Forte as we have walked the Camino as well we really liked that tune that you played on the flute. where would i be able to find that tune? Thank you.
I've watched a lot of Camino videos and this is the best one I've seen. Amazingly well done, thank you for making this. I cant wait to do the Camino. .
What a beautifully put together video, every little bit contains such gems. I walked the Camino first time in September 2019 then COVID happened and so much has changed as a result that just 4 years later the memories have almost completely faded. Now I am planning my second Camino next September and this video has been so great it makes me want to jump right in and get going. Thank you 🙏
This is amazing! I felt like walking the Way again, and it was wonderful to hear such different stories from the pilgrims. I also really like the idea of a diary with various chapters. It resonates with the Way, where every day is the new chapter as well. Thank you very much Alex!
Tears in my eyes. This is so exquisite, Alexandre! Just stunning. You have a very bright future ahead of you as a writer and videographer--a born storyteller. Parabéns!
This is a terrific representation of the inward journey that is the way. For me the moment I heard of "the way" I knew in my spirit that I must do this pilgrimage. It took a few years to become ready but in 2017 I completed the Norte camino de Santiago and it changed me for the better, deeply and profoundly. 5 years later at age 67 I'm planning to do it again.
What a wonderful documentary. In plans that feel like they were made a lifetime ago I would now be leaving pamplona(ish) having walked from St Jean on my way to Santiago, alas it was not to be this year, but my resolve is strengthened to be there in 2021. Thank you for an amazing capture, and for making it so readily accessable.
Alex, FANTASTIC documentary. Best I have seen so far. I am starting my Camino Frances alone on April 23rd 2022, so planning it all right now. Listening to your piece is inspiring and it will help others around me understand better why I am enbarking on this journey. One question for you, what dates were the videos taken? I am assuming from seeing the trees that it is early spring, just worndered if you were there earlier April or later. I am trying to figure out best clothing to pack. Mny thanks. Carlos Fox in Ottawa Canada.
Thanks, Carlos! Appreciate the comment :) I started walking my Camino on the 29th of March. The first two weeks were a bit more chilly (especially in the mornings!) but later on it was a really nice weather. I would recommend packing light, one jacket just in case. Most of the time you’ll be only wearing a T-shirt. Hope it helps!
@@alexandreamaral1576 Thank you so much, very useful to know. Since I am there basically a month after. I know crossing the first two days I can encounter much cooler/wind weather.
I have always dreamed of doing this path, since my adolescence, time has passed and financial conditions have never allowed me to, I saved money for some time more, when I was unemployed I had to use that money. Even more, this path, this journey, dwells in my dreams. I hope that one day GOD CAN ALLOW ME.

I work as a nurse and I have been told so many times by patients that I don’t belong in ED because I smile all the time and I said its my coping strategy of a very demanding job and its always works👍
Fabulous film. Your photography was stunning and the questions were so thought provoking. They will join me on my next Camino, but am taking them in now, too.
Obrigado Mario!
Simply the best account of the Camino I've seen. It's the perfect antidote to the tiresomely unoriginal "look at me walking the Camino" videos that proliferate on UA-cam.
A wonderful film, congratulations, Beautifully done. Nothing is over explained and there is a calm about the whole film that perhaps is what I will find when I do the walk next year. I hope you got top marks for your degree with this piece of filmmaking.
In the surfing world we call it , Getting our Stoke as we watch the waves coming in ! I start my Camino in less than 20 days and Yes , I'm beginning to get my Camino Stoke😂😂
as a child very very young i loved to walk, my father would drink a lot and to take me out if that situation, the lady owning the pub she would take me with her on sunday hikes they where long for a child but i loved it, i was a real huckleberry as from a young age i would be im the streets yet i would walk so far especially for a child 15km was normal, when i fresly came out of jail, about 13years ago i was lost and about to do stupid stuff, in my path came the person whom then became my bf his father was an orthodox priest and his lastname was pelgrims, ... i didn t connect any dots, one of my best friends literally calls me gipsy and one of the meanings of my name is wanderer (gypsy), i have no idea why but i just know i need to walk, i had tought about the camino yet not further then that, now lately i m crossing different ppl on my path who have done it and they randomly talk about it,... and even though i have no contact with my ex (pelgrims) i cross him all over town like the univers just keeps on pointing me in that direction ... i think I should answer that call
What a story!! I am certain that you only have to gain if you let yourself be open to the possibilities and opportunities that life puts in your path. Let us know how it goes, if you do decide to undertake the Camino. Good luck, my friend

Que excelente documentário. Me emocionei muito!
08:56 The interview he said is so awesome. I am so moved and totally agree what he said. I think this is one of the best things we can experience on the Camino. If you need some time of your own, you can walk alone or if you need people to enjoy walking together, you can walk in the group. Nowadays, I am so busy. So, I don't have much time to consider something and I don't have a lot of options to choose what i want. Just situation push me to do something. I do miss so much that time i could choose my option on the Camino in 2020. Thank you for making film about people stories for Camino✨
There's always an option to choose what we want, Celeste! Although I must also admit I'm guilty of getting caught up in life recently, and not giving myself the chance to experience it at a calmer pace. Something for us to learn from the Camino memories and people! Thank you for the kind comment. Wishing you all the best :)
I am Spanish and I only have to tell you one thing, CONGRATULATIONS! You have managed to grasp what the path really is, you have known which people to talk to to guide you in what the path really is, the path is to find yourself in the middle of nowhere thinking, What am I doing here? But your body really knows that it is where it should be. And when you finally get to Santiago, your body feels fulfilled, as if it had fulfilled its mission, and it is the most gratifying thing in the world, that peace and joy of the road .... Your video is perfect, congratulations! A Spaniard who has traveled the camino more than 10 times tells you.
Gracias!
Wahhooo great video I love it. I did the Camino de Santiago after/during the pandemic of Covid 19 and I can tell a lot of things have changed ! I started in France 200 km before Saint Jean Pied de Port and did 100 % with a tent because everything was closed no albergue. I you are interested I am currently publishing videos on my channel about my journey 😝
Excellent film. I have walked the entire journey over 3 separate periods and am compelled to return and complete the entire journey from St Jean to Santiago in a single trip. Your film captured the essence and feeling of the pilgrimage that each and everyone who walks the way experiences. It is filled with amazing experiences and the people one meets are what makes it a joyful spiritual journey.. we become part of an extended family and many experience unexplainable coincidences and awakenings no matter their reason for being there. My personal experience was profound and I am a believer that this journey will change your life in ways you can not imagine.
Salve, Alexandre.
In 2018 exactly two years (June 9) ago I arrived in front of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. I was 1 of those 330,000 walkers/pilgrims🙏😊 #Buencamino thank you for this great reminder...job well done! Maraming salamat po.

Definitely one of the better documentaries made about a Camino. It's an honest and well balanced perspective of different experiences. I love the pace of this - slow but thoroughly engaging and full of integrity. - Hamish John Appleby
Thank you for the kind words, Hamish. The Camino was a fantastic experience, and it was certainly a challenge to keep the film engaging and with integrity. I'm glad the perspectives from the pilgrims got through! All the best :)

Obrigado Mario!
Gracias, amigo. Que te mejores pronto!
Simply the best account of the Camino I've seen. It's the perfect antidote to the tiresomely unoriginal "look at me walking the Camino" videos that proliferate on UA-cam.
:)
Muito bom! Muito bom! Parabéns. Obrigado por compartilhar.
Valeu, obrigado!
You've obviously put a lot of effort into making this documentary. Well done 👍
It was worth it! Thanks :)
A wonderful film, congratulations,
Beautifully done. Nothing is over explained and there is a calm about the whole film that perhaps is what I will find when I do the walk next year. I hope you got top marks for your degree with this piece of filmmaking.
Thank you, Rik! I do hope you have an interesting time in the Camino as well. It did get me the highest mark! Cheers :)
In the surfing world we call it , Getting our Stoke as we watch the waves coming in ! I start my Camino in less than 20 days and Yes , I'm beginning to get my Camino Stoke😂😂
I hope it went well!

It's definitely an experience. Thanks for sharing, mate!
Gracias, amigo peregrino!! Un gran saludo de mi parte!!
as a child very very young i loved to walk, my father would drink a lot and to take me out if that situation, the lady owning the pub she would take me with her on sunday hikes they where long for a child but i loved it, i was a real huckleberry as from a young age i would be im the streets yet i would walk so far especially for a child 15km was normal, when i fresly came out of jail, about 13years ago i was lost and about to do stupid stuff, in my path came the person whom then became my bf his father was an orthodox priest and his lastname was pelgrims, ... i didn t connect any dots, one of my best friends literally calls me gipsy and one of the meanings of my name is wanderer (gypsy), i have no idea why but i just know i need to walk, i had tought about the camino yet not further then that, now lately i m crossing different ppl on my path who have done it and they randomly talk about it,... and even though i have no contact with my ex (pelgrims) i cross him all over town like the univers just keeps on pointing me in that direction
...
i think I should answer that call
What a story!! I am certain that you only have to gain if you let yourself be open to the possibilities and opportunities that life puts in your path. Let us know how it goes, if you do decide to undertake the Camino. Good luck, my friend

“There are always reason why one doesn’t do it, if you wait for the perfect time, one will never do it”
Looks like I’m packing my bags, October I start my Camino!

Sounds wonderful!
Walking the Camino has been in my bucket list . Very well made videos. Just subscribed to your channel .
Thanks for watching! It’s definitely worth the experience ;)
Beautifully done. My wife and I enjoyed the angle from which you created this film.
Thank you for capturing these stories and sharing with the world.
Inspiring.
You’ve earned the highest grade possible 🙏
Thank you! That’s very kind. I’m glad the film could inspire you and your wife!
Que excelente documentário. Me emocionei muito!
Love this, I created a vlog of the Camino, a different perspective, you might like it ✌️
Thanks for the comment! I'll check it out :)
Watching and walking together... Thank you for taking us with you in this journey !
Happy to hear! It's a journey we all share. Thanks for the comment, Andréa :)
Gracias!

Gracias BUEN CAMINO!!!!!!
¡Muchas gracias Francisco! Buen camino para todos nosotros :)
Wahhooo great video I love it. I did the Camino de Santiago after/during
the pandemic of Covid 19 and I can tell a lot of things have changed ! I
started in France 200 km before Saint Jean Pied de Port and did 100 %
with a tent because everything was closed no albergue. I you are
interested I am currently publishing videos on my channel about my journey
😝
Thanks Diane. It sounds like quite an adventure, I imagine a lot must have changed since then! :)
Thank you for taking the time to watch! It is indeed a profound and unique experience, and I'm glad the film brought some of that to you again :)
Thank you so much for such an extraordinary and beautiful film. Buen Camino
I'm glad you had a great experience watching it! Buen Camino :)
A lovely opening David. They are from a passage by the Bard that I love. Cheers
It is a lovely opening!
Great to see you on here David.
He's the man!
Salve, Alexandre.

Beautiful documentary. It nudges me to commit to 2023.
Thank you, Barbara! I'll be happy to know if you do :)
Emocionante. Buen Camino!
Fico feliz em ouvir! Buen Camino :)

Thank you Alexandre ❤️
In 2018 exactly two years (June 9) ago I arrived in front of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. I was 1 of those 330,000 walkers/pilgrims🙏😊 #Buencamino thank you for this great reminder...job well done! Maraming salamat po.

Me too, l arrived about the same day! Camino Portuguese
Excelente reportaje.Te felicito .Me ha impactado.
Gracias amigo!
@@alexandreamaral1576 Let's meet in Santiago one day - I am thinking about walking a Camino again next Spring 2021... Fantástico! Pretendo experenciar o Caminho em breve. Um abraço, parabéns pela obra.
Obrigado meu caro. Já desejo um Buen Camino!
Thank you for the beautiful pilgrimage video~
Thank you for the comment! :)
E logo!! Abraços!!
Congratulations to all the pilgrims on this video. Your testimonies were really touching and inspiring !!!
Forté’s music is really amazing and brought the documentary to a perfect end. Thank You all for the motivation !! Buen Camino!
Obrigado, Julia! :)
Thank you Alexandre. Thank you for all the memories. Silmar told me about your video... all the people I found in my Caminos have appeared suddenly to my mind. Obrigado.
Everyone that walks the Camino is there for a reason. You're absolutely right Diego, they often reappear on our minds! Obrigado por compartilhar :)
Very well done account of the Camino experience. I heard myself and all of the people I’ve met on my Caminos in the voices of the pilgrims featured in this film.
Thank you, Mindy! Great to hear the film was able to resonate with you.
Alexandre , wow! loved the documentary . I have done two camino's and it made me feel like all was new to me. many emotions in the camino. Good luck on your career in journalism. Keep well. keep safe!

Thank you for the commentary, Anthony. Buen Camino, my friend!
