Just ensure to balance the gimbal at each change of the lens may it be 24 or 100 plus as by not doing so it has the motors working harder to balance it so as to extend the life of the gymbal to prevent premature gymbal motor failure. Hope it helps!
really useful video, a question using this optics on gimbal can you use the zoom ring without problems? I find it hard to use it since the ferrule is a bit hard
Hello, thank you for posting this video. I have a question about image stabilization, should I keep the image stabilization on in the lens and in the camera, or should I turn those off because I'm using a gimbal? I have a A7IV and a DJI RS3 coming in any day now. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Hi Thomas ! I got two questions : Is it ok if you zoom with your hand on the gimbal while it works , does it couse any problems to the mechanism ? And also I want to tell me if it's good to have the zoom on 105mm for long time . Does it make the mechanism to get hot and stop working ?
Hi! You shouldn’t zoom while the gimbal is operating because you will push against the mechanism. I think this will cause shaky footage. When operating at 105mm you should re-balance the gimbal before. If the gimbal is not balanced correctly then it will drain the battery faster.
Recently I also bought the SEL24105G. I'm also using RSC2, but the focus ring on the lens is too stiff and the gimbal moves with it. If you know the solution, could you please tell me?
I have the same lens and I am wondering how does the gimbal work with it if you want to be constantly zooming in and out without calibrating every singe time?
Just bring the lens in a middle position and balance the gimbal. The motors of the RS2 are strong enough to balance this when zooming in and out. The batteries may be empty slightly faster.
@@tmueller81_motors Thank you. Also would you tell me if I fully extend the lens and balance the camera, would there be enough room at the back for the camera to fully rotate within the gimbal?

Danke! Es gibt ja einige, die die A7iii mit diesem Objektiv nutzen und auf einem Gimbal betreiben wollen. Deshalb dieses Video. 😊

Can i balance it at 50mm or do i really have to rebalance it at each change?

Why not just balance it in the middle like in 50mm or something. Then it would be okay for all

Hi! I’ve never compared it. I always let the stabilization turned on when I’m using the gimbal.
Can you focus electronicly with the wheel without using extra focus motor ?
I think this SEL24105G lens is not compatible with focus by wire.

Entonces si funciona todo bien? Hago la inversión? jeje
Google Translator: "So if everything works fine? Do I make the investment?"
I can only recommend this Gimbal! It even works with even lager cameras.
yeah now try underslung with a mic on top. why is doesnt it work!

You shouldn't operate the focus ring on the lens while using the gimbal. Use Focus by wire or the available focus motor addon instead.
