Hair spray will yellow over time. Good choice to get an archival fixative.Thank you for sharing your wonderful haul! Have you heard of oil sticks? 🤔 (Literally oil paint in a stick form.) Happy birthday!🎊
@@melissaaldosari8024 Yikes But one of the things didnt make it to the recording and got back ordered. Derwent graphite xl charcaol or something its called. Maybe I can do a short one lol
I’m looking so much forward in using them! I’m no where near being the artist that I aspire too but thank you ❤️ I’m sure you are worth it too. Keep creating!!
I could feel the shock and hit at the first "oh my god" HAHA! And then the many "oh my god"s that follow were just the reality sinking in that you now have so many huge pastels to live with 🤭
It was a big haul, and a lot of money... But it seemed like intentional and well thought out purchases and the larger items are an investment to your art business. Most other massive art hauls I've seen are just unnecessary and impulsive....
This is a lovely comment. Thank you. YESSS! I want to use every single art supplies I welcome to my space. Space is so important and I want to love each one I bring in to it. I’m glad you see that. Im excited to be using them and will give an update on what I did actually use. Again, thanks for the comment!
Ahhh did you get it to? Yeah I was hoping for a bit more on the process. But I kinda thought it is lovely seeing her work and imagining how she created each piece.
@ her work is some of my favorites. She’s truly a skilled artist but to me the book was more of a fancy portfolio of her works and not a teaching tool.
@@MeredithHammett Yups I understand what you mean. That was my first impression too. Should have digged into that a bit. I wish too there were more of the techniques/process too!
wow that's a massive haul! i saw many things i already have and many things i look foward to get in the future, like the scanner and easel. my problem is i live in a very small appartment and don't really have the space for an easel yet 🥲but congrats on your birthday! I also had my birthday recenrly and im also going to splurge a bit on rosemary brushes and oil supplies 🤩
Hello Ultramarine finest ❤️love your name as a fan of pb29 🦋 sounds like we share similar interests! Actually I was going to put the Derwent graphite inks as well but they don’t make it on time for the recording. Only coming in January 🤣 awww. Yeah I got lucky with the space i understand. I use to have a small place too. But guess what? I did like using those easels that have shorter legs and putting them on the desk when I needed to paint vertically (works well with the stretcher) and I feel I’ll be going to back to those ways still quite often. If you haven’t had a try, I’d give it a go! Ooo yes Rosemary and Co are really nice. Every brush I got from them has never not exceeded expectations. They even gave me a freebie paintbrush that I’ve been going back using quite often. Hope you love it too. Thanks for the comment 🙏
@@MiwaGardner thank you! yes i think we do have a lot of interest overlap 💗im looking for a easel like that, and hopefully i can find one that can work as a desk easel and pochade box. it's gonna take a while to figure out a good set up. im very looking forward to my rosmary order 🤩
That easel is gorgeous!😍
I knowwwwwwI just started using it yesterday for the painting that will be completed next year;)))
I love the ecoline inks, I used them as a underpainting for my gouache paintings since they don’t really move after letting it dry!
I loved this video, so informative. Please continue to post often, I subscribed. Thanks so much.
Wow what a lovely comment to get. Im glad it gave you some kind of value! I will;)) Although it may not be a haul as Im broke now

@@MiwaGardnerHahahaha, another haul maybe!?😂 Oil sticks do dry since they are actually oil paint…

Btw, fixatives will darken your pastel paintings. 🙁
I love the sennelier pastels, so creamy smooth. I’m no where near the artist you are. You’re worth every penny! Enjoy!❤❤

The jumbo oil pastels took me out 🤣 I hope you enjoy all of your new supplies!!
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one with that reaction!! Didn’t even know that size existed 🤣 thank you! Will do😌💙🦋🎨

I laughed at your comment 🤣🤣🤣 yes the shock was huuuuge. Just had to surrender to this big pastel chunk 🎨
I love the sketchbook with black paper. It's so hard for me to find here in Ontario.
I realized that once I got here in the U.S!!! I tried to find it and couldnt! Glad I bought it in the haul before moving in to the U.S from Germany.
The scanner, easel, and the oil pastel is the most expensive item that you have in this art hall.
Close!!! The scanner and easel yes! The oil pastel was the 4th most expensive (including the wrong sizes i got🙈)
