My favorite part of this video was the sketchbook flip through! My favorite supplies this year have been my handmade sketchbook and portable painter, probably because I use it all the time for painting for fun outside. Oh and the sepia fine liner set from bianyo and the liquid fineliners from ohuhu.
My new favorite art supply is the tempura paint sticks. I find them super relaxing to play with. I would love to see a video of you using them to learn new techniques and ideas!
I just found your channel late last night. Wow just love everything you do ❤️. I am 68 and just starting out with my art journey. Such wonderful colors. I binged watched last night fell asleep after 3am sometime and woke up with your videos still going at 5:30 am lol 😂 looking forward to actually staying awake and watching 😂 thanks for all your help and hard work 👍 ❤️ blessings from Ontario 🇨🇦 🙏 👍 ❤️
Your artwork reminds me of art by the The Group of Seven, a group of Canadian landscape artists. Something about the vibrant landscapes you create and structure of your work brings them to mind. I very much enjoy your videos and artwork.
Oh my gosh, Sketches! What an absolute joy it is to watch you, always to the end 🤗 You are an incredible artist and your videos have carried me through some (medically) desperate times and helped me not only in my journey as an artist but gave me so much healing. I am so very grateful 🙏 This year I was introduced to the Caran d’Ache Neocolor II in one such amazing video; I took the plunge and ordered some. I’ve never had so much fun since I taught my little cousin Marty how to colour inside the lines with his wax crayons!! Thank you so much for everything you do, dear Sketches, you are SO AWESOME! Sending love from a very frosty Pembroke, Ontario 🇨🇦❤️👏☃️🎄✨
I think my most surprising favourite of the year has been water-soluble graphite pencils and crayons. Not even with added colour, just plain old graphite. I've used it together with watercolour. I bought a few different ones, loved them all, and the cherry on top is that they're all cheap. Lovely video, thanks for sharing your faves!
Wow! This has been so inspirational; you’re truly an amazing artist!!🤩💜🥰🎉🤘🏾👍🏾 Please continue to grow, experiment and inspire others. Love the vibrant pieces you create, they call to my soul. Thank you for posting!! 🤩💜🤘🏾🙏🏾 I am too early in my watercoloring journey to have favorites but I do love the way you experiment with your art supplies and get to know them. 🙏🏾🤩💜
I intentionally buy sketchbooks that I don't love or that has paper that maybe can't handle too much water bc I know I'll be more free in those. I do not like rhe art creation bc in my experience (maybe I got a bad one bc I've only tried one) it couldn't handle jack. But there are a few others like the travelogue (mixed media version) it's similar feeling paper but does WAY better. And then there's the beechmore which I'm working in now. It's also decent and has slightly thicker paper (I'd put it right under stillman and birn in terms of quality) I'm about to try the b5 ohuhu mixed media bc b5 is my ultimate favorite size and it's hard.to find many in that size unless they're really good or really bad (etchr strathmore I consider really good) Ok rant over. 😅😂
Brilliant idea. I'm in the process of using up sketchbooks I don't like after a long time of not making any art, and because I don't like the sketchbooks I don't mind mistakes or a lousy outcome while trying to reconnect my art synapses. 🙂
My faves this year have been Pan Pastels and my Faber castel Polychromos pencils. I love their transparency and ability to layer - I do abstracty stuff inspired by landscape and tree bark and river rocks. I can get almost a watercolor effect with them, though my drawings take hours and hours. This was a great video: I loved seeing your work and the way you use color is enchanting and inspiring. Thank you!
Watched til the end! ❤ I’ve really gotten into M Graham watercolors lately. They have so many excellent versions of colors and I often find something in their version of a pigment that I don’t find anywhere else. A genuine viridian that re-wets beautifully; a cobalt violet that has presence; a PB60 that stays vibrant even after it dries; a scarlet pyrrol that’s so vivid you’ll think it’s fluorescent. I could go on and on. But for those who live in parts of the world where its prices are within reach, it’s just so good!
This was a great video, at the moment my favorite art supplies are some super cheap Kingart metallic watercolors that I use every year for Christmas Cards and gift tags❤️.
Your sketchbooks are truly beautiful! I just obtained and started my first Khadi fat book this past week and I’m loving it! It has freed me from my “how much cost per page” worry if I make a huge mistake! This is really big for me and makes it easy to try new techniques or ideas without that worry of wasting paper & $. I also love the thick and floppy feel of the fat book in my hands! It feels so soft, yet also indestructible! I will keep ordering more in the future! I also enjoy the Baohong sketchbooks. I haven’t ordered my first Etchr sketchbook yet, but it is in my plans! I just need to quit spending on watercolors and brushes and order my first Etchr sketchbook with my budgeted art funds. 😉 Thanks for sharing your art, experience, and favorites! ♥️😉🎨
Thoroughly enjoyed this video and I agree with your choice of Sarah Burns as a landscape painter and gouache expert! I am a pastel artist, dipping her toe into watercolour so I appreciate these videos , full of inspiration and information, thank you !
your art always amazes me!! I've been loving neocolors too this year and khadi are literally the most underrated brand aren't they? their papers are my favourite 🥰
Loved this - my favourite new discovery this year is how much I love using inks and fountain pens! I struggle with some supplies - markers are one, gouache is another - so videos on those would be grest :) Thank you Sketches.
Your sketchbooks are truly things of beauty! Great video and I watched to the end :) I'm with you on Roman Szmal watercolours, they are my go to brand. Baohong sketchbooks are my favourite and I love my portable painter and Art Toolkit palettes
Great video! My favorite art supply that I used the most is the Etchr journal. Even though it can be pricey, I just love that it can handle anything that I throw at it.
My favourites this year have been Inktense + Derwent Drawing pencils, fountain pen (my Platinum Prefounte in particular) and rainbow pencils! I got the latter for my bday back in June and it's been so much fun sketching with them!
@SketchesnScrubs i have a lot of childish motifs in my art so just think of anything that a kid would doodle lol. Dinosaurs, dragons, rainbows, shooting stars, fuzzy monsters. embracing the texture with trees and more abstracty landscapes is so much fun as well ^=^
Been meaning to tell you for your colorful winter landscapes that where I live in the southeastern US, clear winter sunsets go (starting at horizon and all super soft) tangerine orange to lemon yellow to periwinkle blue to lavender purple. Everything takes on a tone of violet-blue, lit with gold. It's one of my favorite things on earth. Thought that might be inspiring. I've never been able to capture it in photography in a way that does the colors justice but maybe you can in watercolor. 😊
If you like tempera paint sticks and you love pastel colors, then you may want to try the Shuttle Art Tempera Paint Sticks in all pastel colors, set of 24. All I can say is CREAMY DREAMY. But like the other colors they do not blend because they dry so fast. But the creaminess when you lay them down is so satisfying on the paper that's it's hard to stop playing with them. Thanks and Happy New Year!
My favorites are similar to yours, DS Watercolors, Neocolor 2, variety of colored pencils and pens. I just love it all. I am planning an art retreat for myself in my own studio to do nothing but paint and play and explore. It was a really busy year.
Your art is amazing and so colorful and happy. I would purchase cards or postcards of your art work and then you could justify using your true favorite sketchbook!
I just splurged on some nice metallic watercolors and some granulating paints. I too had an impulse buy when I picked up the tempera sticks. I love them too but am not always sure when to use them. Love your channel.
Right now I'm picking out my favorite art supplies and putting them into a travel case so that they're easy for me to just pick up and go. There are more than I thought though, so I have to be really selective or I'll end up lugging a suitcase to the park for an afternoon session. 😂 Seriously though, I have a black zip up case with the two removable pencil holders kind of like yours but with an extra outer pocket that I'm filling. I thought it might hold my A5 Stllman and Birn Beta sketchbook but with a small metal watercolor palette, stay wet gouache palette and neo colors in an old tobacco tin the back section is kind of full. My favorite art tool right now is a 5 pack of reusable cotton make up removal pads. They come with their own wash bag for putting in the washing machine so are easy to wash without losing them. I use these instead of paper towels and old bits of t-shirts. They were cheap and they do a good job of soaking up the extra paint or water off your brush. I don't know if you follow Debbie but "The Folk Art Factory Art School" is another good mixed media channel to watch. I especially like her fav 5 series where she picks her favorite 5 colors of each art supply. That's been really helpful when I've been making up my kit.
what a great video... it was a pleasure to watch your art and hear your thoughts about specific art supplies. I love Roman Szmall, too. They have a unique feeling when they are wet, but feel different and also lovely once they dried. This year I got into granulating watercolors and gifted myself with two sets for my birthday: Mission Gold summer set and schmincke deep sea set. They are a blast together. My favorite sketchbook in the 100%cotton category is the Bahong hot press sketchbook. The paper is beautiful and the granulating colors are acting crazy good on it. I also enjoy stillman and birn beta sketchbook, as a low pressure one. Royal Talens is my go to for having fun without thinking :) And you are so right, the female artist you mentioned are really fine ones, love their work and approach in teaching art.
This was such a treat. I always love your colour combinations and I agree with you about the tempora sticks, theyre so much fun to use. I'm pretty sure it was watching one of your videos that encouraged me to try them.
Lovely video 🎉 I love my fude pen and Noodlers Black ink, pentel brush pen and Inktense ‘watercolour’ paint palette. I love the way youcan splash them around on the paper, they dry permanent and you can draw with anything over the top. Love lots of other things too…and now I want to go to Nice!
I purchased a 24 set of pan watercolors by Daniel Smith this year. Wow like painting with butter. I can’t believe the difference. I have been using W And N professional tube paints. Love the convenience of the hand poured DS. They act like tube paints and the colors are glorious. Also I have the complete line of Maria Raczynska brushes. Phenomenal! She has just the right sizes too. She has a UA-cam channel as well with about 400K subs. I just purchased the Etchr Perfect sketchbook so I will see how I like it. Was going with another brand but since they treated you poorly decided to skip it. Thanks for this video. Love your vibrant paintings!
This was one the most amazing videos, and just highlighted how much of an amazing artist you are. My overall favorite are my W&N, DS, and Shinhan...the color selections works well with exploration. I am currently enjoying DS watercolor sticks as well as the WC paints. I've started using my M. Graham gouache not because i like it but just to use it up and have made some pieces that i really like. Its so funny that your least liked art supplie(s) can yield an unlikely return.
@SketchesnScrubs you are very welcome. Your grasp at color theory, composition and space are beyond me. It kinda inspired me to paint landscapes more even if I'm not as close in that area to you. Thank you for sharing
I haven't finished watching your video and I am already in love with your art work. I have just discovered your channel and instantly subscribed. I love bright art work and your work is inspiring. ❤
I've always enjoyed your art and your videos🥹 after this I rewatched your Nice France art vlog (I first watched it when you published it) and it gave the warm and fuzzy feelings all over again. I'm going to Cyprus in March and I'm looking forward to painting/sketching during the trip🫶 thank you for being an inspiration❤
Great video! As for your question about fav supplies that are new this year for me, im actually enjoying adding the Kuratake gansai( in particular the art nouvesu set mostly for the color palate although it was a learning curb to know how to use them as they are different from regular prof watercolors. I look forward to look up your video on making granulating watercolors that you mentioned as well as some of the other artists you mention ( i only know sarah burns). As far as flowers , i only use them as props in my paintings so maybe thst is why i am enjoying your videos more lately than in the past . Just love some of your landscapes and loved pirate ship. Im a portrait, landscape animal painter/ illustrator myself
fun video! my favorite supplies have been Roman Szmal watercolor and Della Magna and Arkaar handmade watercolors. I also have been enjoying the Prolene for gouache (mostly Holbein) and Icon and Aqua Elite for watercolor! Thank you always for the sketchbook suggestions and your beautiful work.
Loved the video. Your sketchbooks are beautiful. My favourite things for 2024 are my creamy Shinhan gouache set, Tooli-Art acrylic paint pens for fine details, Roman Szmal aquarius watercolour palette, Strathmore 500 series sketchbook and Hahnemuhle 100% cotton watercolour sketchbook. I've really taken to mixed media art in 2024. I love the artists you mentioned plus Katie Moody, Joy Jen Studio, Ruth Wilshaw, The Art Factory Art School, Lena Moz and would love to see you do a video on who inspires you.
Love my Poscas for line work. My favorite pencil is still my Bic mechanical. I don't know why, but I love using the silly thing! Bristol paper is my jam! Another unusual choice that I can't explain. My watercolor collection goes like this...... I tried Turner. They were on sale so I got several colors. As I watched art demos, I was, "OOOO....gotta have that color!!!!!!". "There's the red I was looking for!" Now you know what my watercolor collection looks like! LOL! I've got several brands, although I no longer have full set syndrome. I just buy paint by the color or effect. Swatching is a MUST! Sketch book is a handful of 9 x 12 in. sheets of sturdy paper folded in half using a bone folder, and stitched together down the crease. I carry it in the cover from an old planner that has a flap that folds over. Brushes: Ranger brushes are nice and stiff and durable. For a softer brush, I like the Mimik Kolinsky. The synthetics are so good now, I don't see any need to buy natural brushes. Type and size of brush depends on what I'm painting. Enjoyed seeing your favorites. Saw a couple of colors by Roman Smal that I want to try! Never heard of them before. Right now it's December so I'm doing my end of the year clean, destash, and reorganize. It's always nice to start the New Year with a clean studio area! I'll have to look into Roman Smal in a few weeks.🥰❤
Hullo, I have been working on my art in many different mediums and even after 40+ years I still haven’t gotten over the cost of expensive supplies! I stopped buying cheap paper about 25 years ago as woodpulp paper costs more in the end! It effects everything, your practice, your finished art, your testing like swatches etc. I have a go to watercolor brand in DaVinci Paints of California! Professional quality paints and reasonably priced paint too! Just eliminating any distraction factors allows for advancement of your art skills! It has been pointed out to me that DaVinci Is mainly the best option in the U.S. market, I recommend Rosa Gallery Watercolors for the EU customers, they are made in Ukraine so you support a country just buy helping their economy. I prefer synthetic brushes for gouache the Princeton Heritage and Velvet touch. If I want a better watercolor brush I use the Princeton Aqua Elite this brush will be great with watercolors and as they age you can switch them to gouache! Wishing you only the very best for your art journey.
I've stumbled across Sharpie Creative markers at Walmart and I'm loving them. I need to research what paint or ink that is in them but I think it's acrylic. It's a brush pen style. I am loving your videos! Sarah Burn's is amazing! I'll need to check out the other artists you mentioned. I personally would enjoy a video of the UA-cam artists you follow. :-)
I nearly kept to the end live but I'm sorry I missed the last few minutes - but caught up now. Loved this. My big find from the year? Art Toolkits I think for being out and about. And therefore moving a little away from Roman Szmal as a result. And I'm just starting my journey with Gouache - literally. No painting so far, just trying to learn mixing.
Thank you for your video! I have a terrible Paul Rubens 50% cotton watercolor sketchbook and I have been doing the same thing: filling pages as quickly as possible just to get through the thing! On the good paper front, I have been enjoying my Stillman and Birn tri-color mixed media sketchbook for watercolor pencils and gouache and the Hahnemühle 100% cotton watercolor sketchbook for watercolor. For affordable options, I like Bee paper, both cotton and cellulose. My favorite paints this year have been the Caran d’Ache gouache cakes and Da Vinci watercolor (the latter are difficult to find outside the US though)
I did watch to the end but I don't have a favorite art supply because I haven't been painting lately...I guess the opera set from Paul Rubens mostly because I've been enjoying neons lately. 😁This was a great video. Thanks!
Such a nice video! I have the same with sketchbooks: when I don't like it I just go through them super quickly and try everything possible inside to see if maybe they behave well with some supplies! And it's weirdly satisfying, because I try things (styles, subjects, supplies associations, etc.) I never do in my "normal" sketchbooks. It actually happens to me in 2024 for a "Travel by Clairefontaine" watercolor journal (I think). But would I buy another one? No!
😁are you kidding me. Look at the beautiful work you created on the Art Creations paper. I am still afraid to use my big Etcher book. It has become so precious, and waiting for me to get "good"
I am curious if you seal your work when layering pastel pencils on top to prevent smudging? Great video. Thank you. Wishing you a good and inspiring 2025
Seawhite are great workhorse sketchbooks. Especially good for working on projects as an artist rather than creating individual pieces. I used their mixed media sketchbooks throughout my art foundation extensively and beyond for working out major projects like installations and sculpture work, and for thumbnails and storyboarding videos. They don't get talked about enough on UA-cam as here everything tends to be very US-centric! Also love Khadi fat books but they have limitations (I don't think the fat books are surface sized). Both great picks for everyday low-pressure sketchbooks. I really like how Royal Talens sketchbooks look... but TBH I don't really like the paper. I think Seawhite are better at that price point.
I use my Royal Talens as my travel sketchbook but I always have to take a small watercolour sketchbook (usually Khadi) along as well. I only use pen and pencil in the RT and kind of cannot wait to finish it. A tip: Strathmore 500 paper is also available in one of their Visual Journals (and is cheaper!). I am curious about it but have never tried it as I have so many other sketchbooks already!
Hello pretty! I was wondering if you have experience with the Daniel Smith watercolor sticks. I would love to try them out but they are crazy expensive here in Germany. I really love my Roman Szmal paints and I am glad I bought many of them when they were not expensive at all. My absolute favourites are hand made paints from Etsy, from a very nice girl who produces locally. She is called the TIny Tinkery and I just bought a new set from her called the moondance collection and the color combination is absolutely beautiful. Etsy is a dangerous place for me though.....Can you please give me the link to your granulation video? Sorry, I just subbed your channel and I am not so familiar with your content yet. Thanks a million!
Thank you so much for watching! I think that DS watercolour sticks are great ways to buy a larger quantity of the Daniel Smith pans that you like. I don’t use them like crayons (that makes them suppper expensive and not worth it). They are the same price for all series so lovely Option for buying Sodalite for example. If you don’t like Daniel smith or it’s not a colour you want a lot of - then getting the tubes / pans makes more sense. If you’re looking for water soluble crayons then neocolour 2s are what I’d recommend. My granulating video: Art Haul & Watercolour Secrets! Granulating Recipes: How to mix the best granulating watercolours ua-cam.com/video/KEdINM-kRms/v-deo.html Hope this makes sense! Xx
So agree with you about the art creation sketchbooks. I bought it on recommendation, and have been very disappointed. With Strathmore, you might enjoy the Strathmore watercolour sketchbook, I love that one.
My favorite supplies are my Roman Szmal watercolors and Baohong academy paper but I will have to find a replacement as I believe Meedan/Baohong are the same company.
Like your sketchbook paintings, I also own talens, & find it handy to take in handbag on appointments, where pencil, & fineliner are used I also didn’t have good watercolour results. I knew & follow 3 of 4 artists you mentioned, but can’t find TJMarsden/-ton. Perhaps you could give me correct name. Thanks.
My favorite part of this video was the sketchbook flip through! Thank you - That is a great idea x
Creativity out of pure spite over not liking a sketchbook or newly bought art supplies is hillariously genius! I need to try that approach for sure!
😂😂😂 I don’t know why it works 😅😅😅 but it does x
I love your bold and bright color choices. It really is your signature style.
Thank you so much ❤️

I am too early in my watercoloring journey to have favorites but I do love the way you experiment with your art supplies and get to know them. 🙏🏾🤩💜
So, in order to trick yourself into creating more art, challenge yourself to complete those sketchbooks you don’t really like! 😂 Brilliant!
😂😂😂😂 it shouldn’t work but it does
😂@SketchesnScrubs
@SketchesnScrubs❤my favorite 🤩 part was your take on the brushes!
Thank you 😊

My favorite art supply~ My Holbein Botanical watercolor set and my Holbein pastels watercolor set.
Your happiness and laughter is infectious! I'm no artist but so enjoyed listening to you!
Thank you so much Lynne! If you ever decide to start creating art, let me know ❤️ happy new year 😀

Wow - I can see a real progression in your watercolour! So beautiful...
Thank you so much ❤️
I love that mechanical pencil too! I was never keen on pencils really, but this one makes drawing an absolute pleasure ❤
I feel the same way 😂😂 also wasn’t that into pencils before 😂😅
your art always amazes me!! I've been loving neocolors too this year and khadi are literally the most underrated brand aren't they? their papers are my favourite 🥰
I agree x x
Hoping the new RS essentials set will become available here soon too! USA
where is here? Artemiranda online, and Peters Art in Berlin online carry it!
Fingers crossed!! ❤️
Derwent Inktense pencils are my favourite at the moment❤
My favorite new art supply is fountain pens! I too love Platinum's carbon ink as I'm rediscovering line and wash.
Thanks for sharing Lynne!!❤️
Love your sketchbook!
Thank you Dawn ❤️
Loved this - my favourite new discovery this year is how much I love using inks and fountain pens! I struggle with some supplies - markers are one, gouache is another - so videos on those would be grest :) Thank you Sketches.

What do you create with them? I really enjoy them too though I’d love to use them in new ways! Xx

It’sa really nice set!
I just splurged on some nice metallic watercolors and some granulating paints. I too had an impulse buy when I picked up the tempera sticks. I love them too but am not always sure when to use them. Love your channel.
Your landscapes are the best!
Thank you so much x
So happy to have found your channel 🙏.
Your artwork is stunning ❤️ 🎨
Thanks for this great video.
Thank you so much Freyaboo!! 😀 I’m glad you found me too ❤️
Beautiful paintings! Good video.
Thank you very much Jude! ❤️
Thank you so much! x
The sketchbook is amazing!
Thank you so much Kym ❤️
Your work is LOVELY, and your supply reviews are very helpful! Thank you for sharing your gifts!
Thank you so much for your kind words Jkelly! ❤️
I love your art. Beautiful. I am new to watercolor’s and art journaling.
Thank you so much! I hope that you’re enjoying watercolour and art journaling ❤️
Always love your positivity and videos. Happy Holidays!
Thank you so much Friendly Seal ❤️ I appreciate you’re uplifting message ! Xx
I absolutely love Holbein gouache! Your artwork is pretty as always. Love the vibrant colors!
Thank you so much 😀 xx
I’m loving the Shin Han & Daniel smith gouache, Luminance colored pencils, Sharpie ink (new in the black barrel) & neo color 2.
Thank you for watching and sharing Samantha x
Your art is magnificent ❤
Thank you so much Dawn! ❤️
@SketchesnScrubs your very welcome
your paintings are amazing!!
Thank you so much 😀 xx
This was one the most amazing videos, and just highlighted how much of an amazing artist you are. My overall favorite are my W&N, DS, and Shinhan...the color selections works well with exploration. I am currently enjoying DS watercolor sticks as well as the WC paints.
I've started using my M. Graham gouache not because i like it but just to use it up and have made some pieces that i really like. Its so funny that your least liked art supplie(s) can yield an unlikely return.
Besides the supplies, your skills are just amazing.
Thank you so much! ❤️
@SketchesnScrubs you are very welcome. Your grasp at color theory, composition and space are beyond me. It kinda inspired me to paint landscapes more even if I'm not as close in that area to you.
Thank you for sharing
Nice art🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much 😀 x
I haven't finished watching your video and I am already in love with your art work. I have just discovered your channel and instantly subscribed. I love bright art work and your work is inspiring. ❤
Thank you so much! I am so glad that you enjoyed it :D x
Favourite art supply: my DIY pochade box 😊.
Hello!
@ Hiiiyyy! 😄👋
@@awatercolourist 👋😊👋
That’s awesome ❤️
I really love your landscapes!
Thank you so much Jessica ❤️
Great video!!! My current favorite is a set of Caran Dache Museum Aquarelle pencils recently gifted to me.
Thank you for watching and sharing! ❤️
Pitt pens and Staedtler pigment pens are my favs this year.
Thank you for watching and sharing! I love the Pitt pens too x
What kind of art do you create? It’d be lovely to know the kind of things you create with them x x
I just discovered you and I love your videos!
Yay! Thank you! ❤️
This was a fun video. Thank you for sharing your art and opinions. ❤
Thank you so much Shadow ❤️
I love my daniel Smith watercolors. I agree the Etchr cold presseveryday sketchbook has awesome paper!
fun video! my favorite supplies have been Roman Szmal watercolor and Della Magna and Arkaar handmade watercolors. I also have been enjoying the Prolene for gouache (mostly Holbein) and Icon and Aqua Elite for watercolor! Thank you always for the sketchbook suggestions and your beautiful work.
oh and Neocolor ii and exploring Koh I Noor Mondeluz and Caran D'ache Supracolor watercolor pencils this year!
Love your work. Just come across your channel for watercolor..thanx for sharing
Thank you so much Gili! Glad you found me Xx
23:37 I have to try these. I always wanted to try using Tempara paints, just never got around to it.
Gold and silver pens to add pop to my paintings.
Thank you for sharing Paola x
Thank you so much for sharing! ❤️
I also really like seawhites' regular cartridge paper sketchbook. It's only 140 gsm but its actually really gokd and has a bit of tooth
It has become so precious, and waiting for me to get "good"
Awww! Thank you so much Dolly! I know the feeling but I hope that you gather the courage to use it - you and your art deserve it ❤️
Loved the video! What tape do you use for your borders in your sketchbooks?
In the video and description x
I love your honest approach, and beautiful artwork do u have other pages?
What do you mean by pages? If you mean other sketchbook tours I do - ua-cam.com/play/PL32BH60miDjKm9JZCUHvaL4aFkVCHsqWS.html
Enjoy x
Great video, and new sub here!
Thank you so much Allison! I love your videos & art poetry! I've been enjoying your channel since the beginning x
pls pls pls pls pls make a video on your favorite water color tubes and palettes ASAP🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 and what gold colors are u using ?
I use the golds from Etchr’s Golden palette
I’ve always created a video about the paints in the palettes xx
My favorite art supplies of 2024 are my floandforj handmade paints ❤❤❤
It’s funny how a sketchbook can dictate the quality of our art. It’s like how a cup of tea can taste “bluh” in the wrong cup.
I am curious if you seal your work when layering pastel pencils on top to prevent smudging?
Great video. Thank you. Wishing you a good and inspiring 2025
Lool I should... Lool it's about 50/50 if I'm using a lot of pastels. I use the W&N Pastel fixative spray x

Hope this makes sense! Xx
@ thanks a million!
I enjoy them too! I don’t think Meeden /Baohong are the same company. But Baohong may be making the Meeden paper blocks x
Obrigada 🌷🇧🇷
Like your sketchbook paintings, I also own talens, & find it handy to take in handbag on appointments, where pencil, & fineliner are used I also didn’t have good watercolour results. I knew & follow 3 of 4 artists you mentioned, but can’t find TJMarsden/-ton. Perhaps you could give me correct name. Thanks.
