This song was released on November 8 1971... I first heard it when they played it two days earlier on the sixth on the radio You can't imagine the special memory of that night and the first time I heard it holds for me.
I loved your reaction to this song. Knew it most of my life. The song was desinged to start out slow and mellow then increase in intensity with incrememnts as it went. Jimmy Page the lead guitar player said it was a very difficult song to create. It was worth the trouble because it is known as one of the most popular rock songs in history.
