Intricate but not impossible as you have so skillfully shown. I will definitely be looking out for forms that would make various shapes. Thank you so much for sharing.
These little boxes are stunning. I just love them. I have to say though that I think they would be even more lovely without the texturing. Maybe that's an English thing... Not sure. I am in awe!!! Thank you for showing us this tutorial. It is well structured and very informative. I am feeling inspired to try this and less intimidated after watching. The slump molds (?) you have: from what material are they constructed? I am intrigued to try some unusual geometric shapes and would try to fashion a few molds to facilitate quicker creation if I were to have top & bottom baking at the same time while working on another piece/set.
I am so glad you liked it, thanks so much Ralph 🙂 As far as I am aware the slump moulds are made from Fibre board, but I am not someone who knows much about the technicality of them - sorry - I just like to use them 😉I have added the links to the retailers that sell them in the setails below the video - press where it says SHOW MORE - you will probably get the information you need by looking at the items description - or could contact the retailer for more info perhaps? making your own would be great. Be aware though, that you need to coat the mould with cornstach/cornflour so the clay doesn't adhere to the form, and because of that, they clay literally doesn't stick when you are moulding it round the shape, it will just mimic the shape while being slightly proud of it/draped/slumped over it - if that makes sense? So while it works really well, it is a completley different way of doing it to using ceramic forms, where the clay sticks, but can be removed after baking. Have fun. 🙃🙂

Fiona, so many opportunities! Lovely. I noticed on the bottom what looks like a metal screw but don't see when you put it in place in the video. Is it necessary to the construction of the box?
Thank you Becky, good spot, but no, it's not a screw, I have a little mongram black and white cane with my initials which I use to sign my pieces, and that's what that is 🙂

These creations of yours are absolutely lovely. So is your voice, you could really be on the ASMR channels as well. When I first watched someone work with polymer clay, I thought, wow, that is hard. The more I watch you, though, am I developing an understanding of how the canes are made. Lovely, I enjoy the channel. God bless. I wonder if you could make a series of candle top covers. They sit on the top of glass candles, like Yankee candles, and they stop the flame from burning too high, and hot. Also, do you sell these items? Thanks 🤗.
I am so glad you are enjoying the videos, thank you Lisa 🙂 Polymer Clay needs to be kept away from naked flame, so I am not sure about the candle covers 😉 I do sell my items normally - link to my Etsy shop is in the details belwo the video - but just at the moment have no physical items there, but they will be back for sale later in the year. 🙂
These are gorgeous and would go with many elegant styles. They can't decide if they're Moroccan, Indian, Oriental or French. I wonder if the same filigree with the texturing just on the edges would make them Victorian. The Brilliant Blue on a yellow could make country French. A simpler filigree (like on a vintage screen door or country porch corbels) with no texture done in Brilliant Blue on Cream or White on yellow could make American Farmhouse.
Hi Fiona,, im getting a delivery of my order of polymer clay,,,assorted rolling pins,,, and round clay cutters,, plus a a set of chopping boards that are flexible,, and the dishes,,, I'm going to test out the idea for this pot with a pendent and earrings and finish with a bit of resin for gloss,,with a pink and lavender before I try it with the dishes,, I have pva glue, to attach the clay,, and I might go one better and do the same with a chameleon,, so the pieces cut out can show through with differant colors being a chameleon, it will have every color placed in to the cut outs ,,with smaller on top and some normal,, I know this is going to be great fun,, thought I would let you know, so I can try your idea with the dishes too. Plus mica powder would look cool, just carefully dabbled on, or a fine glitter in the clay mix,,If it works out!!!OK. So stay safe and take care.🦎🐊🐸🦋🌺💐

Beautiful! ❤
Thank you so much 🙂

Well I found a new channel to bi he! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!❤❤❤
Wonderful, thanks so much - I hope you have fun watching them 🙂
These are gorgeous and would go with many elegant styles.
Oh wow, I am loving all of those references - is it bad that I now want to go and do a door screen 🤣😂Thanks so much for your informative comment 🙂

It sounds like you are going to have a wonderful time - have fun 🙂
