Yes, I kept calling it Chrysoprase…that’s what happens when you’ve got a head full of stones 🤣 Chrysocolla is actually what I was inspired by. Sowwwyyyy 😂❤
This came up on my notifications while at work, and I was like 'Ooooh! I know what I'm watching tonight! Beautiful pieces, Deb! Can't wait to try this myself!
I haven't watched one of your tutorials for a while (been trying to exercise my creative brain) 😊. Here I am having breakfast, surrounded by kitties on a misty morning in the mountains and voila this lovely idea came up. Been playing with skinner blends and then parking them. Been using Blues mostly and here you are inspiring me to think out of the box once again. Deb you are a fantastic teacher. Thank you for sharing your creativity with newbies like me. ❤❤❤ from the Overberg mountains in South Africa.
Hi Deb, these are stunning, what beautiful colours. I can't get enough of green, it's gorgeous isn't it. I love the shapes of these, they look like leaves!! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Take care, bbfn, xx❤😊😊
I LOVE - LOVE your tutorials-you explain everything wonderfully (even a new comer like myself can understand). Thank you so much for the tutorials you make-you make polymer clay beautifully.
Thanks. No, I get it. I HAVE to keep it clean. I can’t stand a dirty work tile! It doesn’t necessarily look tidy everywhere else on my desk, but you don’t get to see that 😁
Well, I thought the shell one, the last tute was the best! But I love this one soooo much too!! Love the black inclusions, that is really a cool technique!!!😘😘💞💞✌✌
I absolutely love this tutorial. My faux stones are waiting for my craft oven to preheat. I can’t wait for them to bake! Thank you for so generously sharing your talents with us!!!
This was so cool and thank you for sharing. I just bought that stainless steel soap - ha ha! Now I have an additional use for it! I am so planning on making this but plan a cabochon for a copper ring.
I absolutely can’t wait week to week to see what beautiful artwork you will teach us!!! These pieces are so beautiful! Love your voice it’s very soothing and I love that you pick on yourself! 😂❤
Love this! You just amazing me every time! How you can look at a stone and figure out how to replicate them. Tnx for sharing your amazing talent! So much appreciated!
As much as I love your video’s, I have to seriously pay extreme attention due to your accent. Last time I did a double take and had to rewind when you asked if your camera “fogged” up. I honestly heard a different word than fogged. 😂. In todays video, you started out saying you were still in a “beachy” mood. My first thought was “oh this should be fun” because I swear, I heard a different word than beachy. 😂😂😂😂😂. I’m watching it again because I was snickering to myself through the first viewing. And fyi, I’m in Canada and love your accent.
I was just watching an older video of yours and your wee rant. There are some sad sad people out there that have nothing better to do than slag off others. Ignore the d...heads! I love your videos and your banter and everything so thank you and keep it up ❤
Well, I bake on paper, on a baking tray if I want to avoid shiny spots that baking on a ceramic tile can cause. Until you’re more experienced, bake on a ceramic tile for a flatter piece, and don’t make the pieces too thin.
Beautiful work, yet again. I find a small handheld rechargeable fan helps to dry the alcohol ink *REALLY* quick (plus they are cheap on Amazon 😜). I have to tell you a derpity derp derp derp moment last week: I grabbed the wrong alcohol ink, which was my UV colored alcohol ink. Everything bubbled up in oven and darkened. It kept the clay not quite baked hard, just a little flexible. Problem solved by UV resin at the end, though. They turned out so cool! An error turned into what looks like actual rock. 🤣 I have to ask a question: I’m having issues with the UV resin staying sticky. I’m doing extremely small amounts per coating. How do you keep that from happening?? I’m constantly having to sand it down a bit and start again, and still it’s a tad sticky and shows finger prints….
Actually, properly cured clay should be a little flexible, otherwise it’s brittle and breaks, easily. I use my heat gun to dry the alcohol ink. Believe it or not, a thicker coat of resin cures faster than thinner coats…it’s a science thing that I don’t know how to articulate. Try a thicker coat and if it’s still sticky, then I would suggest the resin is old, and you need to buy new. Good job saving your piece! Thank you xoxo
The resin I use is listed in my Amazon storefront. Yes, it’s the hard type. Not sure if that’s why it’s better for not leaving bubbles, or if it’s just because it’s a good brand.
Great tutorial as always. You mentioned in another video that you're in the USA. Do you sell in the UK too? I wondered how good sales may be in the UK for this type of piece x
These are really gorgeous. I am wondering, I don’t have any black alcohol ink. Is it worth getting some or do you think it will be ok without? Or, I could put a light coat of fluid black acrylic. What would you do? Also, did you bake for an hour? This will be my first attempt at one of your tutorials. I’m a newbie.
Hi how are ya? If you are not going to resin a finished piece, what thickness would you suggest is okay to leave your clay earrings? I am always worried about running my clay too thin and breakage happening because of weakness. Thanks much.
Well, polymer clay is pretty durable, so long as you’ve baked correctly. To know something is baked correctly, there should be a flex to them. The thickness I made the pieces in this video, would be fine even without resin. I think a #1 or #2 is a good thickness.
Does alchol inks behave differently in the types of clays you're using, than they do in resin? I heard that the inks fade fast in the sun. I was curious, before I buy any of the materials to try this.

I love watching you work! Creative, funny, flexible! You’re the Bob Ross of polymer clay!
Thank you!

You’re not the first person who thought I said something other than ‘fogged up.’ 🤣🤣❤️💜
I got to watch this so pretty

Sooo pretty ❤️

I enjoyed watching and learning. I’m new to this stuff. Can you give me any advice on how to get the pieces to bake flat and not with uneven places?
Well, I bake on paper, on a baking tray if I want to avoid shiny spots that baking on a ceramic tile can cause. Until you’re more experienced, bake on a ceramic tile for a flatter piece, and don’t make the pieces too thin.
@@clayboutique thanks. I’ll give it a try

So beautiful 😍!! Love the greens. Thank you so very much ❤😊. Do you use the hard type resin? Do you think that's better for not leaving air bubbles?

Wundervolle Arbeit sie sehen toll aus ,sind die alkholinks uv resistent ?
Not entirely. Hence protection of resin. Keep all pieces with inks away from direct sunlight.
Great tutorial as always. You mentioned in another video that you're in the USA. Do you sell in the UK too? I wondered how good sales may be in the UK for this type of piece x
Thanks! No, sorry I don’t
Another ABSOLUTE BEAUT! I can't believe how long you lasted with your gloves this time! 😅
Thanks!
I think I’ve got used to wearing them, and forgot to take them off 🤣

Also, did you bake for an hour?
This will be my first attempt at one of your tutorials. I’m a newbie.
Black acrylic would work, but I think it best to invest in some alcohol ink.
I always bake for an hour.

No.
Yes. All ink will eventually fade, from sunlight. Especially when used as a surface treatment.
Fabulous Deb..you’ve turned me into a trans lover🥰🙏🏽
Please help! I don't have a pasta machine. How can I still make this beautiful stone?
You might need to get a pasta machine..
❤❤❤
Do you have a patron page ?
No, I do not
I thought you said you were still in a bitchy mood! Lol. I had to replay it! 😂
🤣
Well, I said, ‘beachy’ but bit**y fits🤣
