I use this gun for a blend job and when I spray with fan wide open it seems to be spitting the material all around. And then I decided to close it for paint and just kept the same settings for clear. In my opinion this gun lays clear better than most ridiculously expensive guns.💪
@@mariopaintclass6091 pal Mario there just something about that genuine iwata series 2 WS400 1.3 OBS BLUE CAP 1.3 DIGITAL VERSION its awesome iam going to try it out in a,few weeks as I have work
What would you recommend to learn on and stick with for car restorations, between these guns for base and clear? Looking to spend under $300. Porphis 717 Master Elite 88 Black Widow Drizzle I have a 80 gallon 2 stage compressor. Thank you in Advance!
Hi Mario, well what can I say mate apart from great minds think alike🤓 I've been thinking the exact same thing about my PRD-717 for clearcoat the fan is huge plus the edge of the fan didn't look right but by turning the fan control in one turn it tightens up the pattern and gives you a better but wetter fan👌I also have the PRD-715 non split tip but that one works fine at full fan👍 The finish you got here from the 717 is amazing Mario it's a really good gun for the price plus I think it's just as good as the WS400 Series2🫣sorry Iwata fans but I have that gun as well, just saying it how it is🙏👍John UK
@@JohnWD40TC02 hey John great minds do think alike😁 we both on to something. I love the iwata, but the 717 is amazing 🙌 I still haven’t tried the 715 I’m looking forward to it.
Mario, have you ever tried using Pete's Hobbies settings with this gun. Pete, who is a very smart guy and was the first to discover Porphis guns, recommends using this gun wide open at 16 PSIG for base and 19 PSIG for clear. He claims that atomization is not affected and that overspray is greatly reduced. Give these settings a go and let us know what you think.
Hi Mario, that's a very useful tip! Our team will share your experience with everyone who is facing the same problem with their spray fan setup, thank you for taking the time to make a quality video!🥰🥰😍😍😍☺☺
Mario I have cancelled that order mate go to stick with my new iwata series WS400 1.3 OBS BLUE CAP 1.3 DIGITAL VERSION and I have a kiwami 4 1.3 too and devibliss pro lite 1.3 mate so I have changed my mind

Hey man, I recommend the Porphis and the Master elite 88. The guns works fine, but still trying to gauge their longevity.
Thanks Mario. Great tip!

Wow! I have two of those guns but I won’t use them until I stop painting boats.
@@nickcrill7718 depending on how thick your boat paint is you could use them.
I’d like to try this gun. In action it looks fine . But in home use the goal is to use less pressure….
