@thetriggerman954 i used the finish 1 on most of my daily driver jobs it takes an little longer to dry then some people like but I usually let my evac fans run for awhile with it sit about 2 hours then I heat my shop up with an space heater to speed up the dry time. Matrix I've used on some Elcamino job and an daily driver and liked it as well
I only go 5% when the clear specifies up to 10% Reducer.....All other clears NO REDUCER....It will fall apart WAY before it is suppose to if you cut the Clear.
Yeah I always look at it like how much do you want your clear to die back at 5%. You only lose 5% of gloss use 10%, you will lose 10% of gloss. Although there are some clears that there is no getting around it you have to reduce it. I just don't like the fact that people are being taught to automatically add it to every job just to get a " slick finish " That's the part I strongly disagree with.

Spray gun direct is from the UK
Loooooong way 😯
Spray guns direct is in uk
🫡💪🏼
That damn trigger man at it again.
SPRAY ON BRUDDER SPAY ON
😎 spray on brudder 🤙🏼💪🏼
Hey brother been a while, they are located in the UK and I seen the gunman use this on his torana and with this clear, it is the clear that is the speed not the activators on this brand im sure, idk why that is though, I will be keeping that tape trick in my memory bank that's for sure thatmnks for that one brother
@@winnsautomotiverefinishing you got it man. That's actually the only channel I saw the clear on. But it's hard for me to understand the guy so unfortunately I don't watch much of his content. But yeah that was the only place I saw any info on the clear. Thank you for the info 🤙🏼
i imagine your tape trick works only if you get run on the first coat ?
You can use it on any coat. But I normally only use it on the first coat. Most times if you get a run in the second or third coat you can get the run out without a trace but run in the first coat is looking for trouble. But it works at any stage.
Hey Trigger. Where did you get the adaptor for the Porphis MPH-338? I need one.
One of my subscribers made it for me. I don't think they make one for it. My subscribers are the best I swear 😎🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Hit me on IG and I'll give you his Email address and he could make one for you.
The awl grip 3000 clear is thick. almost 50% solids. 2/1/1
@@nickcrill7718 that's a different ball game there lol
THAT TAPE TRICK...👍👍👍
😎🤙🏼👉🏼 4shooooow
The tape trick comes out for me when I run primer or clear in the fall/winter transition 😂
@@StyleHouseRhythm you run your primer? Go to time-out 👉🏼
@ it happens once or twice a winter. Just keepin it a buck 😂
@@StyleHouseRhythm lmao my man. Keeping it real. Yeah man shit happens to the best of us
7:00 adding reducer ... But we are good Trigger ❤
Yea I caught that after I watched the finished video. But I know my subs were smart enough to know what I meant. 😉😎
You gonna like it
Aye trigger man speedokote smr 42 high solid clear is good clear to have u ever tried it
💩💩💩💩
@thetriggerman954 lol
Excelent , experienc,!!
@@EmyMachado-k7f thank you for tuning in Emy 🫡
Was the activator fast, medium or slow he sent out it may just need an faster activator?
I don't know, I said that in the beginning I was like I don't know if this is fast or slow, it didn't say it on the can, and when I googled it nothing comes up as far as the speed. So I was really just freestyling it which I hate to do. Didn't have a clue. So it could have been much worse for me 🥹
@thetriggerman954 well you did great for using clear you never have! I also was wondering if spraying from the bottom up on the clears that take longer to set up and flash off dose it help and could you use another companies activator with it to get different results? I've been using finish1 and matrix so im always looking for better clears for higher end classic cars.
@@wrightsrrt871 I like the matrix, I heard a few guys complain about the finish 1 I've never tried it though.
@thetriggerman954 i used the finish 1 on most of my daily driver jobs it takes an little longer to dry then some people like but I usually let my evac fans run for awhile with it sit about 2 hours then I heat my shop up with an space heater to speed up the dry time. Matrix I've used on some Elcamino job and an daily driver and liked it as well
Has been awhile for el cheapo. I’ve taped out a run with success and failure lol
@@nickcrill7718 I've had many failures my man. 🥹
I wish it wasn’t a lot to ship I would use it all the time
Yea shipping was like $100 probably because of the weight. My boss likes it he asked about ordering more but direct want to pay all the shipping.
I have used it sum close to deltron 2021
@@BrandonLamb-xl6hn that's some of the best clear I've ever used there.
Love your video
Thank you I'm glad you're enjoying them
nice trick nice job
Thank you 💪🏼
Whats the best way to remove run just on edge? I think I’m gonna get burn through 😢 Also on edge is little build up
@@Rikats15 lots of prayer 🤲🏼🙏🏼
@ True 😁. I think I gonna sand down all edge and start over.
@@Rikats15 Noooooo 🫠 you at least have to try man. Get one of those McGuire's sanding stones 1,000 grit. Try that first
@ thanks for advice 🤛🏻😎
@@thetriggerman954 Can you seal over only where are burn through areas instead of sealing all panel. And then put base coat? There where is sealer edge wouldn’t be rough?
yep it`s the best
for the price,,cant beat it
I think so 😁
I would rather get a run than those Dirt McGirt jobs.
I don’t always get runs but when I do I use the mirka shark blade.
I have that same exact blade, comes with the black and yellow pouch, I've only used it like twice, I always use my razor trick as my go to
@ razor blades slide on me you’re way more experienced with those🫡. I’m glad you got the shark blade I’ve gotten out some real serious curtains with that. Spray wax the hell out of it mines starting to flash rust after 4 years
I jus give it a 2 mins to pull press the tape in heavy and pull it of fast

Close call
Very lol
If its thick then 1,2
@@konstantintop-painting6882 sometimes the tip is so small and the paint is so thick to where that doesn't always flow the way you think it would be. But I think I'm going to try it anyway 😜
Spray gun direct it’s a great company from the UK I believe so that’s where I get all my professional guns if you’re paying for a gun to 1500 here in the United States you can pay them about seven to $800 and get the same one and not a clone The real McCoy
Sweet that's a hell of a deal. Almost half price😯
Yes, sir it might take a while to get here, but it will get here. Trust me and thanks because of you are spraying that clear that you always spray it is bad ass. That’s my favorite clear now that Amtex clear that clear is very hard to get a run and it keep the gloss
@@tonymartinez15949 Good to hear and yes I hardly ever get a run in the Am-Tech clear I wish I could have pulled this one off perfectly but it happens 🥹
@@thetriggerman954 🤷🏼♂️🤗
They have so much better product in the uk and overseas then U.S.
Man I swear I was thinking the same thing. 🤔💭 This stuff was sweet
@@thetriggerman954 I like 2.1 clears but Sherwin Williams doesn't have very many most of there premium clears are 3.1 man I've never know the tape method on the clear I was taught how to use my thumb with a rubber glove by an old timer that's pretty slick idea👍
@@thetriggerman954 I did some digging on that clear and no wonder it's so awesome it's lacquer based it's available through who you mentioned sprayguns direct and can be delivered here in the US
@rongamble9884 I said all of that 😂 it's from spray guns direct ✅ it was delivered to me✅ I didn't know about it being lacquer based 🤔

My dad taught me the tape trick. He learned it back in the 1970s to deal with runs in enamel paint.
That's where I got it from old school guys that painted in the '60s and '70s those guys had more tricks than a straight dog has ticks I was lucky enough to work with lots of them that taught me plenty.
Buy the way good job spraying it I sprayed it 5000 1.3 and heat it up a little instead of reducing sprays like glass in a can trig🫡💪🏼
Now that's an idea 🤔 never even thought about that. Might have to give that a try. Maybe the heat gun . Thanks man 🤙🏼
