    All of you guys could have piled into Draco, and landed in the parking lot at the coffee shop, no need to take ground transportation. That thing is awesome!!

    I miss flying. I grew up on an airport flying my dads cessna 120 and cherokee 140. Just lost him in january. Your videos are really inspiring me to get back in the air.

      I also lost my dad recently so I understand what you're going through. But for me flying is a great way for me to feel close to him again. I used to go every weekend in our maule m 4. I still remember the first time I flew. I was about 12 or so. There's no way the FAA would let it happen now. Chances are theyd hang you for it now but I was just about ready to solo before my first lesson at 14 with a instructor lol.

      SouthJerseySound sounds familiar. I first took the controls when I was 8 (didn't learn rudder till later because I couldn't reach the pedals). Flying with my dad make up some I'd the most purely joyful memories I have.

      The SKY used to be the limit take a look at his channel,its got a ton of information on the build and how he engineered the changes. You won't be disappointed and the video quality is pretty good too.

      The SKY used to be the limit yeah Trent is a true pro. But I have to say Mike's videos and editing gets a lot better as he goes along.the later vids are much better to watch in my opinion.

    It's crazy cause I'm not a fan of heights, but flying does not bother me. I flew for the first time last January and loved it!! We flew from kentucky where we live to Arizona and back in one day. That's what started my love for flying. Then I found this channel and love the kitfox plane. So instead of getting a cessna or piper I've decided to get a bishop plane and build it myself. Cant wait to get this project started. I'm way to excited. Thanks for the channel trent and time out of your days to make every one else's day. Be safe and God bless.

From Trent (he got me hooked) to Mike's truly custom Draco built (wow the engineering and one off parts are so fun to see), Cory, Project Kit Fox and the entire group. I subscribe to them all! I was looking forward to seeing new Holstein airport. We landed there 25 years ago on the way to KOSH. On arrival, 6 kids were mowing the grass runway with lawnmowers and we thought management was being hard on summer employees. It turned-out the New Tecumseth engine plan was still in America at the time and they were testing engines. The good old days.

      Newbeach can you just go fly a single engine with an ATPL or do you have to take additional training?

    • @chrippaaa
      @chrippaaa 6 років тому +1

      Hi Dee Anna, not sure where you are located but at least in europe under EASA regulations you need a valid single engine rating. Doesn't matter if you hold a ppl/cpl/atpl. You have to refresh it every 2 years. :)

    • @deeanna8448
      @deeanna8448 6 років тому

      Newbeach I'm in the USA. I'm so intrigued by aviation. Last month, I took a discovery flight in a Piper, and then signed up for a real lesson where I got to handle the flight controls a lot more and run through checklists. The instructor also did some stalls so I could see what that felt like. I'm mulling over continuing, but I'm not sure I can justify the expense for a hobby, or spare the time needed to become proficient.

    God I miss Oshkosh. Growing up, my father and I flew our PA 20 Pacer to the air show many times. I’ll never forget camping out under the wing of the plane for a week and going nuts over all the airplanes that assemble there. If I had the money, I’d haul the old girl out of mothballs and fly her back again. I know my sons would love it just like I did. Great series, bringing back a lot of good memories man!

    Amazing the build work Mike has done on that Wilga. I checked out his channel...that guy is on it. In terms of car, that guy is basically flying around a heavily modified Mclaren P1...it's already one of the best, he made it way cooler. If anything though, whether its a 65k Kitfox or a million+ dollar monster...they still fly side by side and get ya to Osh Kosh. Awesome vids man....been watching every day.
