Great, great video Josh. This one was special for sure. This time, with your dad and friends is priceless and to spend it at any pilot's dream event, is perfect. I love watching your dad. He loves being one of the guys and sharing these times with you. A lot of guys would get with their buddies and not want their dad around "slowing them up", or cramping their style, but not you. You and your dad are simply good people Josh and thank you for sharing this with us. Safe Skys !

By far the most thought-provoking, breathtaking and well edited video you have ever produced and I have been watching for a few years now... Oshkosh, I believe, is on every pilots checklist and you, along with your aviation family put this in such a wonderful format for us all to be apart of in many different ways. To be apart of this community, even whilst being here in the UK, is something like no other. Thank you for creating such a brilliant video that describes the passion so professionally.

This is so poetic Josh, you did an amazing job to capture not only the heart and soul of oshkosh or even your own soul for that matter you captured the essence of flying and what is to love about it. I feel like I missed the boat on getting my licence as it's so expensive in the U.K even to fly in rickety old planes and it's not going to get any cheaper so for now at least I can live aviation through you. Thank you!

Ah man, I use to cruise around with my dad in a 172 all about the southwest. Its 20 years later and hes gone but the main thing i think about when i have idle thoughts is those moments, catchin him fall asleep, how small the bladder was, and how incredibly slow driving in a car felt on the way home from the airport. Great vid man you really caught it.

Josh, I’m not really sure where to begin. I watch Steveo, Flightchops, and others, but your videos are about as close to my personal reality as they get. As a divorced father of 2 great kids, my dream of flight remains just that for now, a dream.
See aviation runs deep in my veins. My father took me to many air shows when I was a kid. Including Oshkosh in 1987. I literally grew up in Cessnas, and Cherokee’s with him on weekends.
I had every toy airplane imaginable growing up, and always knew that one day, I would be a pilot.
Airplanes and aviation were one of the few things my dad and I had in common. Unfortunately, other life experiences took me in different directions and aviation faded for me.
I’ve had a couple of life altering events in recent years, one was a stage 2 colon/rectal cancer diagnosis in 2011, that i can now say I’m a survivor of.
The other was my father’s passing in September of 2016. Which hit me way harder that expected.
Which leads me to Air Venture 2017. I went up from Illinois that week to quietly spread some of my dads ashes at the show, due to his love of flying and his 25+ years of volunteering at the Kid Venture area. Not his idea, it was mine. A way to pay tribute to the man I loved so dearly.
So, one day, in the future I plan on the next step, eventually soloing in a 172. A day that will bring me closer to him, than ever before!
So again, thank you for sharing your passion. And your videos of you and your father flying. Something I wont be able to share with mine, but truly enjoy watching on here.

One of the best videos of Airventure I've seen. I'm not sure what you majored in, but I think Discovery Channel or Nat Geo should hire you. Video, narration, and music to this was fantastic. Being a professional pilot myself and watching my son working on his PPL, I can only imagine what that must have meant to you and tour Father to have undertaken such a journey to the worlds biggest Aviation show. I envy you.
