North italia is actually owned by Sam Fox in AZ. He owns flower child, culinary dropout, zinburger. He has no correlation with Cheesecake Factory whatsoever lol

Lived here my entire life Dave, have to go to the Original #1 Brothers pizza off of cactus. 1000% your style. Just a real genuine family pizza spot serving up the best pizza in AZ.

Go to Mykes Pizza in Downtown Mesa, AZ! It's inside Cyder Corps Taproom. Myke started making pizzas as a pop up on the sidewalk. He makes the best pizza in AZ.

@@KonkinWasRight Pizzicletta in Flag might well be my favorite. Cibo is up there too for me. I know a lot of people shit on Bianco now because it's cool to do but to me Bianco is a lot like In-N-Out in that he was never trying to make this outrageous life changing pizza, he just wanted to make a simple product with high quality ingredients and it was all the reviewers and whatnot that hyped it up to unsustainable levels. I still think it's one of the best you can get if you just remove the hype factor.

You have to try Zesty Zeekes in Ahwatukee AZ.. It part of South Phoenix. It's off of Warner ave. and 48th St. Near the 10 Freeway.. they have excellent pizza. Voted best in Phoenix for quite a few years. You won't be disappointed .

If you're in Glendale for the final four check out La Piazza, Lucky's Pizza, or Ray's Pizza (original name I know). If you're downtown for the events there check out Via Della Slice Shop or Ziggys right across the street, a local chain that has decent New York slices is New York Pizza Dept.
Luckys is great pizza! We tried it last weekend. I think mario’s pizza is ABIT better though imo

I'm from NYC, I tried several NYPD locations, their pizza is sub-par. Oregano's another local chain, served a better pie.
La Piazza has new ownership. It's not good anymore. In fact it hasn't been very good since Covid. Plus it's neopolitan so Dave won't care for it.
I have heard of Dominos but i haven't played in a long time.

If you ever head to Tucson try R&R Pizza by far my favorite pizza.
Recommendations for Phoenix area: Oreganos pizza…thin and crispy. Vero pizza is also good (great Chicago style, but I like their thin, too), and Spinnatos. I visit the locations for these in the south valley area, but they also have Phoenix metro locations. Grimaldi’s is also great, but I think you’ve been there already.

Dave, when you come back try Humble Bistro at North near the Desert Ridge (North Phoenix) area and try Upper Crust off Cave Creek Road and the 101 Freeway. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by both.

you can try LGO's pizza or parlor kinda in the same area as North. More NYC style Pino's downtown is good but not as good as Via de ella. Mikes pizza in mesa might be your best bet though.

@Dave Bill's pizza in Prescott, AZ. Worth the drive. Brooklyn V's pizza, few locations across the Valley. Nook Kitchen, not your style of pizza but still excellent. Don't sleep on the Bill's pizza it's fire.
