Never, ever pay $40 for a pie, never. As a teenager, they were 15 cents a slice then went up to 25 cents a slice in the 60's, no kidding this guy is living the life, only working 4 hours a day. wow. This is what I do, get Italian bread, spread tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese on top with pepperoni and put it under the broiler for a few minutes, delicious
I don't mind paying this much amount once in a while. I like his work hours and restaurant dining is supposed to be expensive. This will encourage people to cook their own food, put less pressure on restaurant owners and employees, and live a healthy life with decent working hours. I call it a win win.

THAT is Roman style pizza. I lived there and that is the most authentic I've seen on this side of the pond. Crazy how this style isn't more popular in the states.

Quite the small world to see a neighborhood I used to live in get its own Barstool pizza review. If you had a problem with the fire truck being loud, consider yourself lucky no one was driving by blasting their Spanish music, that was common when I was there. Jersey City is a great place to live for good transit (didn't need a car!) and cuisine. More people need to give NJ a chance When I lived in that neighborhood, my go-to for pizza was Gino's on Central Ave. There's also Renato's Pizza Masters on Central Ave but I preferred Gino's because the quality of the sauce is just better there. And unlike Bread & Salt, the pizza at both of those places are quite affordable for the local residents

Tried this place when it was here in Pittsburgh, nearly 6 years ago at this point, and it was spectacular. The bread was more of the attraction back then, but I remember getting the rossa pies and being blown away- and then checking the receipt and getting blown away a second time. Expensive stuff, but very very good. Looks like they've just gone and honed the craft in Jersey.
I have been guessing Dave's scores for literally the past 6 months, I have been close a couple of times but TONIGHT I have got it correct, the 2nd pizza he scored 8.2 and I was jumping all over the place (admittedly I scored the 1st one the same) but hey at least after a long 6 months I got the same score as the king! Next time you go to Chicago area in the suburbs West Chicago there's a place called The Slice spot. You definitely need the check it out it's the only Jersey coast style pizza in the area I'm from New Jersey so I definitely know this is definitely a must you won't be disappointed.
I live the bay area, honestly there is only one good pizza joint around me and I pay 40 dollars per box, insane but I rather spend like 40 bucks for a great pizza than 25 for complete dogshit. Almost all the pizza here sucks for reference.

Not as easy as it looks…probably. Performing in front of a camera and being entertaining sounds hard to me. Not to mention all of the traveling. Still looks fun though.
Yeah I'll never pay $40 for a pizza thats just robbery. The tomato pie did look amazing too, but $40 is just ridiculous
