So much to stay on top of! Like that in one of the concluding sections you say: “Who do you know?” This is definitely one of the few human factors that remains as being much needed! The discussion about SEO and keeping people capture in your ecosystem generated some ideas for me for a niche market client, thank you!!
"LinkedIn prohibits automated applications" - but it doesn't prohibit decontextualizing and automating application screening, does it? When leveling the playing field makes someone upset, it's disproof by example that they were acting fairly. Get bent, LinkedIn.
Hmmm... zero click. If people eventually stop posting on websites and post in native platforms and you can't scrape the data from Meta right? I mean I tested NotebookLM and it could read my public posts on LinkedIn but not on FB or IG. Does that mean we stop generating data for AI? Do each of the platforms end up using their own data. Or maybe they have enough data and actually the focus is on what Scale is doing providing data to show how AI how to think and reason. OR those in the know who appreciate zero click have louder voices because they are in more places and AI search frequently gets their info in front of people. Whilst it's weird to imagine a world without Google search maybe that's what will happen. We'll all be using our personal AI assistants and never visit a website again? Rambling, thinking out loud.
So very well said about Elon and his accomplishments vs his controversies. Too often Elon supporters act as though everyone is all or nothing regarding him - if you admire the leadership he's had in some areas, that means you must love everything he does and if you have a problem with his politics it must mean that you're just a hater who is against everything he does. But I feel very much as you expressed - impressed and grateful for how he's pushed us forward technologically, while at my wits end every time I see him full-throatedly endorsing the Republicans' wildest talking points about how evil and conniving Democrats all are. He embodies in one person every positive thing that can come from the existence of billionaires and also why billionaires are so very dangerous to the healthy functioning of a democratic society.
great pod cast btw. although i agree to disagree with you on Elon Musks first amendment right to express himself on any platform he wants. And on "one's" Personal time on earth, you want to make the best difference while you can. He believes there is a different path to a better Economy through the MAGA movement. All we're looking at here is policies. we already know he's a genius.
