The G3 App software has been updated, and the bike no longer will reach 25mph. GoCycle made this change to optimize the bike's performance and efficiency. They found that 25mph was draining the battery far too fast, but not actually reducing trip times by very much. The 20mph limit also allows for longer battery and motor lifespan, and is much more friendly to the e-bike legislation that is evolving in the US. This bike can be class 1 or 2 depending on how you set it up with your app.
I've been riding this bike for about a month ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
Nothing about security? Built in lock or anything like that? It’s nice but it’s incredibly expensive and as far as I can see it can’t carry anything, not even a water bottle.
Lillian - So you go to the shops on it with the bike bag in your pocket. Arrive at the shop, put bike in bag and take it into the shops? I can’t see this bike working for me without carrying a rucksack 👎🏻
Quentin Field-Boden Yes. I guess it depends on lifestyle or destination. If the destination is a place where it’ll be cumbersome, maybe it’s not the time to ride it. If you’re going to the office, gym or another place that’ll accommodate it with trusting eyes on it, it could work out.
@@PedalBikerUK the bag clips on to the handlebar post,it looks quite a generous size, has a shoulder strap,&attaches very securely with a"one movement clip action".The details are on the GoCycle website.
Motorcycles are typically cheaper, but cost more money overtime. Most decent lithium ion batteries alone will cost more than $600, but requires no real maintenance and charging only costs a few pennies of electricity. It's kind of like comparing apples to oranges if you're comparing electric bikes to low end motorcycles, they're very different machines.
@@nycewheels this is too much for this bike. You can get a very good foldable ebike for $2k. And we're talking higher top end, bigger battery, greater versatility, and more range. The only advantage I see for this is lighter and more compact
Well sure you can buy a car if you want a car. But if you want a sustainable, portable, and low maintenance means of transportation, you can't beat the practicality of an electric bike. Especially in cities. Costs to maintain an E-bike is only a few hundred dollars a year, and charging up only costs pennies vs the price of gas. This is a premium products, but there are many great electric bikes available at more affordable prices. Check out our website to see everything we offer!

Why can't you set Mode without a smart phone?
hello nycewheels why 40 mph is locked?
40 kph is the same as 25 mph, which this bike can do, but 40 mph would make it a moped :^)
It looks nice, but nice shouldn't be expensive
Without battery is good for sports?
It's OK on country lanes with some loose gravel, but not suitable for off-road use.

There's a bag for it. It's a take-it-with-you bike.

A lot of yachts are équiped Whith This
It's a fan favorite for the boating community for sure!
Can you add pegs onto the back wheel? (For a 2nd passenger)
How much does it weigh?
36 lbs
$4,500? Could I just buy a use car for that price.
Parking $$$. Insurance $$$. Driver's license ??? No bike trail riding along the water or for scenic enjoyment.
It looks really cool but $4500 is a joke. Who buy this?
People who want a top of the line, 100% custom, high tech electric bike ;)
Cool! I want to buy an electric bike for $600. That is normal price for this. My girlfriend just bought a Yamaha Motorcycle for this price.

At that price its a luxury product inaccessible to most people
Nope, can't get it. I don't have a smart phone, so the added charge for making this bell/whistle is rather wasted.
You dont have to uses a mobile once setup
@@MusicMovies67 the shop can do the initial set-up.
Too expensive !! For that price it needs to be able to go at least 30mph. And now, it won't even go 25mph ? Only 20 !!
narrator orders soymilk in 55 gallon drums
But the bicycle is very slow, because 25 km/h is nothing
It's designed primarily as a town bicycle,25mph is plenty fast enough in those circumstances.
pire in pakskan
*$4,500.00!* a pile of junk - imo
RC you probably don’t have enough money in your piggy bank to buy any bike 😂
Just buy a car
