Hello! Can u please explain to me why the boost button has to be used whilst pedalling on the Mi rider?E bikes with thumb throttles can be used, unassisted up to 6 km/h by uk law so are you referring to something else? Love the video btw :)
How bout doing some research before spreading misinformation. The same thing with the Electric Brompton that according to what you said it doesn't stands on its own but well... it does.
Gocycle also has a boost mode initiated by the left grip, just like the others mentioned. I also think you should have included the Brompton and Tern Vectron in the comparison.
Have a Gocycle G4i and I absolutely love it, there is no way back once you ride one. P.s. the boost button.. pull back the left handle which also controls the lights, it's boost as much as you like. Great video btw.
1000 miles into my G4i ownership. Mine was £3999 when I bought it. Agree about the display. Even though I know it well now (and it does have a speedometer function) I’d sooner just have a digital display and would love a clock. And it does have a boost. Left twist grip down.
Range - all of these bikes have infinite range, you just keep pedalling. My point is that the only valid range statement from an e-bike manufacturer would be the range without pedalling. Otherwise you can quote any number you like and nobody can argue with it. As for the £5k bike - its a good thing it folds as you wouldn't want to leave it on the street where somebody could chop the chain and ride off with it.
Good overview. I've got the earlier Gocycle GX with the manual change which I prefer, as it give me more control. I've used this to commute on done a few thousand miles on it. And as you mention, the geometry feels like a full size bike. Great for that job and easy to clean in bad weather. I save my road bike for the weekends.
The Gocycle is definitely an icon. i bought it (second hand) as a collector item, but now i use it quiet often. As you can put it on 15,5 mph instead of 25kmh here in Euroland that's a real bonus! Mrsp is high but wait 'till you get to the servicing and spare parts... On 15,5 no way you'll get to 50miles, i'm saving to buy a new batt ! i hope the GXi model is a bit bigger. The new model tires with $pecial compound are really/maybe worth it

Too expensive but above all too heavy. The point of a folding bike is that you can fold it up and CARRY IT. Imaging lugging an 18kg lump of metal around a big Tube station like Kings Cross.
You are English and live in London. Why in heavens name arent you guys reviewg the most iconic real English Bromtons? Made in London. Please compare that one.
I'm on my first ebike and it's a Chinese folding ebike which cost a lot less than any of these overpriced ones. Had no problem with it whatsoever. It can go off-road which none of these ones can do.
You missed two important details in your comparison. The problem with the MiRider is that it does not have "puncture resistant" tires. (it does have a self-sealing inner-tube, but that is a lame substitution because one the inner tube is punctured it's already a bit late.. the self sealant doesnt' always work.. so much better to just use a serious puncture resistant tire instead. especially with something like an ebike where bike shops may not have the right size inner-tubes in stock. -and the problem with the GoCycle is that the "bluetooth" is ALWAYS turned on. (unless you turn the bike off completely. This means that the Gocycle is beaming radiation into your body the entire time you are using it, whether U have your phone attached to it or not. (The health consequences of "Blue-tooth" radiation are known to be worse than other forms of EMF radiation in case U didn't know that.) 5G is probably worse, but with the exception of 5G, blue-tooth radiation is not something that health -conscious people, (or energetically sensitive people) do not want to have anything to do with. -Anyway these are both deal-breaking flaws in each of the bikes and needed to be mentioned.

My heart says G4i+, but my wallet is saying MiRiDER 😅
Another way is to keep an eye out for used Gocycles
@@noisycarlos oh I have been, wherever I see a G4 it's already been snapped up
Back in early 2020, I got my GS (no g4 then) used for $1500. My timing was really lucky though, my first ride was the day when the pandemic shutdowns started (and eventual supply-chain constraints)
They are all overpriced. You get far more for less money with the Chinese brands.
@@dtz1000 fair enough.
In my case at the time, I couldn't find a bike with everything I needed (relatively light, so I can take it up the stairs to my apartment, foldable so I can bring into my car, and with a decent amount of power). The used Gocycle was the closest I could get for a good price.
Mirider is the better bicycle, The simple answer is the price.
1x G4i or 2x GB3 🤔 its an easy answer😜
It's not called rip-off Britain for nothing.
Go for the Chinese brands instead. Much better ebikes than any of these for a lot less money.
Not sure i believe this is made in the UK, I literally brought the same bike from aliexpess for £500...
Probably the same generic frame import
Go Eilis .👍🇬🇧
Wait...there were e bikes in this video?!?!
Men of culture everywhere
OK, I just bought a G4i. Anyone want to buy a slightly used Sondors Fold?!?!
How about how to charge these beauties ?
Too expensive but above all too heavy. The point of a folding bike is that you can fold it up and CARRY IT. Imaging lugging an 18kg lump of metal around a big Tube station like Kings Cross.
Bird vs cowboy vs van moof
What a head-to-head-to-head that'd be ⚔
Neither are actually good for the price. For 2.5k - 3.2k… buy a second hand Brompton for 500.. and get an non foldable e bike for 2k
All UK brands are massively overpriced. Consider a Chinese ebike instead. You get much more for your money.
Brompton Electric: What about me?
I like Eilis!
mirider orange is a nice bike go the bike is too expensive, its just not worth it.
Sorry... still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor... £4,999!! Nice... but not that nice!
You are English and live in London. Why in heavens name arent you guys reviewg the most iconic real English Bromtons? Made in London. Please compare that one.
2 very true old adages apply here -
You only get what you pay for.
Buy cheap, buy twice.
I am on my 4th ebike and can confirm these beyond all doubt.
I'm on my first ebike and it's a Chinese folding ebike which cost a lot less than any of these overpriced ones. Had no problem with it whatsoever. It can go off-road which none of these ones can do.
And she's probably still jet lagged or something 😂
Gocycles are ridiculously expensive
“You get a lot for your money” I don’t see any unique features that other brands don’t offer
Crazy right! It's almost as though value for money is in no way correlated to the uniqueness of a feature!
Huh?@@Electroheads
Fiido d4s is arent bike too.
Quite spendy, these - but I still run my bikes on rice and beans 😳
*CLICK BAIT !!!* After all of this, Electoheads refuses to pick a winner. There's too much money to be made on all of them.
None
Over priced, over priced, over priced
So unless you're really skinny you're not going to be able to ride these bikes. Very discriminating
Lol
