Imagine what it would feel like if you just allowed yourself to feel depressed and anxious with judging yourself for it. That is where compassion and self-love come into play. Speaking from personal experience, when I learned to accept myself for who I truly am, I was able to pull myself out of a really dark place. Sometimes all we need to give ourselves is a little tenderness, love, and care. We shouldn't constantly be criticizing ourselves for not feeling 100% all the time. Love yourself, even if you feel depressed or anxious. Lean into every aspect of yourself, even if it's not who you think you should be. You deserve every right to think and feel the way you do.

I’ve said this before but I am also in recovery like you and I decided to cold turkey my prescriptions drugs last week. It is definitely benefitting me but is a struggle nonetheless so I was literally just crying putting myself in the bath and I got this notification. I'm so proud of you for giving up the prescription pills as I too have had to give up some recent addictions that I was avoiding. Also, remember how unique and special you are. Oh my friend you are amazing! So glad you're back at work don't work too hard now. I'm actually doing OK over here just trying to be more vulnerable and sharing my process and journey struggling with depression and anxiety most of my life. Had a pretty rough year last year but I am on track and moving forward and looking forward to sharing my journey with everyone hoping that they can gain a few tips to help themselves feel the best that they can in their lives.
