The game is very glitch riden. The story is lackluster, the only improvement from the first game is the graphics and map. The missions are extremely repetitive as well as too many enemies in small locations leading to instant death as there very accurate. The only thing I would say though is I think the bay area is one of the most immersive game maps out there are kinda makes up for the rest of the game. And btw the online is terrible, seamless multiplayer leads to frame rate drops and trolls. The bounty hunter is broken as f**k as you can't kill people with explosives and games constantly glitch out. This includes frequent host migration errors, errors when joining games, and lag! So much lag! My opinion 3/10 story, 9/10 map, 2/10 online game modes, 8/10 co-op online if you free roam. Overall 5/10

Actually I own a PS4 Pro now and I'm pretty sure it could run at 60FPS or offer that option at least for 1080p. More often than not, lack of 60FPS is just subpar optimalization. Regrettable!
MGS3, shadow of the colossus, san andreas... some of the best ps2 games and those ran at like 25 fps. take any ps1 game and the frame rate was lower. stable 30 is fine.

Review from player: Overall gameplay fun action packed and it has this MGS5 vibe to it when you play missions. Don't know why people are complaining about the AI but take it from me the AI in this game can surprise you at any corner. You might randomly find someone stretching on a bench or you might pull up your phone to take a selfie and than a civ photobombs you or makes some kind of reaction to it. (I'm dead serious when i say that) The game surprisingly brakes the "oh it's a gta clone" thing which is rare for open world games these days. If you are having trouble online that's because apparently it was turned off until it released worldwide (apparently) Music is one of the biggest part of a video game and personally from what I've heard is awesome depending on what you like but the games own soundtrack in Missions and stuff like that is sick! Except many times where you will cringe because of story but it was designed this way so nothing to big and last thing graphics. Graphics just like in mafia3 can sometimes shine and sometimes just suck! But remember when it comes to WD2 they never marketed it for graphics so keep that in mind. Out of everything I've seen it deserves that 9/10

Rob N the original wasn't a bad game though... it played well, the hacking was fun and there was lots to do and plenty of vehicles to drive and guns to shoot, it got let down by the Ubi downgrade, boring story and unlikeable protagonist in my opinion, I got WD2 2 days ago and I must say they have definitely added some much needed life into the story and there are some genuinely funny and clever references I wasn't expecting! there are quite a lot of bugs though, I've came across floating cars and characters that get lost forever simply because they spawn in wrong so might be worth waiting until a patch if you wanted to give the second one a chance (which I'd highly recommend because I couldn't put it down yesterday!) haha
I'll always give any new game a chance, but although the concept of WD was good, I played 20 hours ansd by that time I was bored and not sucked by the story or the world at all. Thanks for the response though, I'll keep an eye on it, but realistically I'll have to wait until February if I do go for it due to the many other games I'm desperate to play.

Watch Dogs isn't even bad it's just it's graphics were downgraded and it got too much hype and didn't quite live up to it, i played the game for the first time recently and there is nothing bad about it tbh but the graphics should have been a lot better
I don't get the hate either. It was downgraded sure, but still a blast. People were expecting a 10/10 or a 9/10. But it was closer to an 8/10, maybe even 8.5. It was solid. If it came out in a vacuum and without the hype it would be judged fairly.
It wasn't just the downgrade, it was also how the game was cinamized and was made more alive rather than what they actually gave us, not just the graphics. Not to mention driving in the game was floaty as fuck, and the main character was down right shit, considering they couldn't even decide what he even was.
Aye the game does do things differently, I mean in the 1st watch Dogs, Aiden Pearce or Me feel like half an Esper (Time Slow, Blackout etc) and half A Bombing Terrorist, and a quarter of Batman's persona. While for Marcus I feel more like a hacker and puppeteer because I spend 80% of the time controlling My 2 toys like Soundwave, heck I even give them names lol, also that Esper feel ability is still there (forcing Vehicles to move a direction).
In my opinion, I'd give this game a 7.5. out of 10. Ridiculous AI, occasional frame rate drops, the occasional bugs this video has mentioned, and the broken multiplayer (which i couldnt care less about but when you release a game you expect it to at least be all functional). Still a fun game though, bit better than the 1st Watch Dogs in my opinion. Beautiful scenery and it definitely adapted to GTA V's gorgeous, bright colour palettes. If you want a game to play before Final Fantasy 15 comes out, definitely consider getting this. I definitely think my score would be higher if Ubisoft releases a patch that fixes most if not all of these issues I'm having. **have both and played both copies for PC and PS4 version.

I liked this game. I liked the characters and all, but after the game was over it felt empty. I'm not really interested in the side missions cause they don't really have story. I also didn't feel like the story had too many shocking moments and cool twists.

Really didn't like watch dogs 1. Maybe because I played it right after gta5. But besides the dissapointing graphics just couldnt care less about the story and gameplay. The review itself is very good but i have to entirely disagree with what seems like everyone's opinion of the game itself. I agree that the first WD had a number of issues technically, however, in comparison to the edgy, good v evil feeling of the first game with the main character being dull but trying to avenge a family tragedy, giving the story line a tense but worthwhile feeling for the player, whereas WD2 is a very poor reflection and feels like a mans game which has been reduced to a game for kids and wannabe hackers. Anarchy for anarchy's sake, how entirely pointless. Yea, lets break into a movie studio and steal a script, who gives a flying-f?. I have to agree with a review comment below that its now been reduced to a poor hacking reflection of GTAV with a storyline which has the depth of a puddle. This is a real shame as quite a number of aspects of the gameplay such as the driving have been vastly improved.
On reflection after playing almost 50% of the game, maybe the far reduced emphasis of violence and weapons is a good thing in modern day society?, probably. Personally, I still prefer the edgy and dark nature of the first game and it's storyline, but WD2 is a very good game and well worth playing.
Honestly though from these reviews WD2 isn't that overall bad. Compared to another freeroaming flop (M3), this game is god's child. Honestly if you like comparing GTA to every fucking title that is released, then good for you, but you need to compare problems to problems to see the overall greatness if there is one. WD2 seems like a typical game (worth about 30 bucks so a bit more expansive than how I would like). I'm thankful Ubisoft is trying to attempt to survive in the freeroaming shit storm, unlike Mafia III where the story was amazing, but the rest of the game sucked. I'd give this game a 7 or 8/10, for at least not being a real piece of shit.

adi forka it runs upscaled 4k on pro. There is not going to be 60fpS games on pro if the base game is 30fps.

The glitches are understandable since it's only early access and they need some people of the community to play and share their opinion.

Watch Dogs isn't even bad it's just it's graphics were downgraded and it got too much hype and didn't quite live up to it, i played the game for the first time recently and there is nothing bad about it tbh but the graphics should have been a lot better
I don't get the hate either. It was downgraded sure, but still a blast. People were expecting a 10/10 or a 9/10. But it was closer to an 8/10, maybe even 8.5. It was solid.
If it came out in a vacuum and without the hype it would be judged fairly.

It wasn't just the downgrade, it was also how the game was cinamized and was made more alive rather than what they actually gave us, not just the graphics. Not to mention driving in the game was floaty as fuck, and the main character was down right shit, considering they couldn't even decide what he even was.

Aye the game does do things differently, I mean in the 1st watch Dogs, Aiden Pearce or Me feel like half an Esper (Time Slow, Blackout etc) and half A Bombing Terrorist, and a quarter of Batman's persona.
While for Marcus I feel more like a hacker and puppeteer because I spend 80% of the time controlling My 2 toys like Soundwave, heck I even give them names lol, also that Esper feel ability is still there (forcing Vehicles to move a direction).
In my opinion, I'd give this game a 7.5. out of 10. Ridiculous AI, occasional frame rate drops, the occasional bugs this video has mentioned, and the broken multiplayer (which i couldnt care less about but when you release a game you expect it to at least be all functional). Still a fun game though, bit better than the 1st Watch Dogs in my opinion. Beautiful scenery and it definitely adapted to GTA V's gorgeous, bright colour palettes. If you want a game to play before Final Fantasy 15 comes out, definitely consider getting this. I definitely think my score would be higher if Ubisoft releases a patch that fixes most if not all of these issues I'm having. **have both and played both copies for PC and PS4 version.

I liked this game. I liked the characters and all, but after the game was over it felt empty. I'm not really interested in the side missions cause they don't really have story. I also didn't feel like the story had too many shocking moments and cool twists.

I feel like this game did amazing job with bettering itself from the original and while I didn't enjoy as I much as I should have it has lot's of playtime with a wealth of story and side missions unlike the first game it has a bright kind of spunky attitude that the first game didn't have I mean Aiden pierce while an interesting character was a Batman reject filled with to much vengeance while they improved the charcter I believe that the character should've of been flushed out if your planning on buying it I would say hold off and possibly wait for a price drop I mean don't get me wrong the game is fantastic by far but i encountered a few glitches and problems like Cringe millennial dialogue, dumb AI, worse driving then WD1, empty city, awful draw distance, story and characters that really don't know what it wants to be, pew pew shooting, bad car damage. and other problems I don't think that this game should be rated a 9 maybe an eight and a half but that's it

I found ppl floating above the ground vehicles clutching through the street when parked. the hope I've mechanic sucks small little jumps about a ft high you trip over it. other than that it's a good game
the game is really fun so far, only a few hours in. i haven't tried MP yet, but i recommend getting this if you liked the 1st watch dogs.

this game is cool and all but i cant stand the dam crap it puts all over my screen. im not an expert on seeing frame rate or care for resolution but it is so bad it looks like its snowing in my game. i might be the only one who is getting this in the game but if anyone knows a fix for this please let me know.

Really didn't like watch dogs 1. Maybe because I played it right after gta5. But besides the dissapointing graphics just couldnt care less about the story and gameplay. The city felt kind of empty as well. After seeing this review somehow I feel part 2 wont please me either. I really want to like this series but i just don't. Guess it's just not my game.

The review itself is very good but i have to entirely disagree with what seems like everyone's opinion of the game itself. I agree that the first WD had a number of issues technically, however, in comparison to the edgy, good v evil feeling of the first game with the main character being dull but trying to avenge a family tragedy, giving the story line a tense but worthwhile feeling for the player, whereas WD2 is a very poor reflection and feels like a mans game which has been reduced to a game for kids and wannabe hackers. Anarchy for anarchy's sake, how entirely pointless. Yea, lets break into a movie studio and steal a script, who gives a flying-f?. I have to agree with a review comment below that its now been reduced to a poor hacking reflection of GTAV with a storyline which has the depth of a puddle. This is a real shame as quite a number of aspects of the gameplay such as the driving have been vastly improved.
On reflection after playing almost 50% of the game, maybe the far reduced emphasis of violence and weapons is a good thing in modern day society?, probably. Personally, I still prefer the edgy and dark nature of the first game and it's storyline, but WD2 is a very good game and well worth playing.

Honestly though from these reviews WD2 isn't that overall bad. Compared to another freeroaming flop (M3), this game is god's child. Honestly if you like comparing GTA to every fucking title that is released, then good for you, but you need to compare problems to problems to see the overall greatness if there is one.
WD2 seems like a typical game (worth about 30 bucks so a bit more expansive than how I would like). I'm thankful Ubisoft is trying to attempt to survive in the freeroaming shit storm, unlike Mafia III where the story was amazing, but the rest of the game sucked. I'd give this game a 7 or 8/10, for at least not being a real piece of shit.
it looks like ubisoft is trying to get it back together, what with all the improvements in WD2 and actually taking a year off from AC.
