Hi the padding is still just as good as day one. Lumber support is not designed to be removed, but it can be moved up and down into a position where it suits you.
My top annoyance: The lumbar support will actually slide down by itself. I ended up removing it because I don't feel like it's doing much. It looks like an afterthought.
@callofdutyzx2798 you can move the arm rests out if you get the adjustable ones, in the video i show you the measurements of the seat pan if that helps. It does depend how big you are, i got a friend whos quite fat and he sat in it and his sides were touching the armrests lol. But if your normal weight you should be fine.
The best review of the Sayl in existence on youtube! Trust me, ever since a few days ago, Ive watched every single review / video on the sayl. Every single one!.. Now my back and I, are both waiting impatiently for up to 8-9 weeks for it to ship! Insane amount of time, I didn't think how long this would take, until days after the purchase, its so far away!
Thanks I'm glad you found it useful! It will be worth it, don't judge the chair after 10 mins sitting but after 8 hours working day in day out, you don't feel any pain.
The Gaming Sayl where i live has the Medley fabric instead of the Sync fabric, is it still worth getting over the regular Sayl? The regular Sayl uses the Cosmos fabric. The cost difference between the two is about 37. Both don't come with the adjustable lumbar support.
I have the Logitech Embody and the gaming Sayl for my wife. We sit in our chairs 12+hrs per day 7 days a week and we love our chairs. I use the Logitech and my wife uses the Gaming Sayl. The Sayl imo is made for individuals who are around 5’0” tall up. I think it’s comfy but my Logitech Embody is the most comfy. I would love to have the gaming Aeron.
Hi thanks for your great review! I am curious if you 1) found the adjustable seat useful and 2) which seat type you chose? There seems to be three types (Crepe, Rhythm, and Gemma). Apologies if you already answered these questions!
Adjustable seat is useful, but once you set it you forget about it - but atleast its set up perfect for you. Not sure on the seat type? that might be a new feature as I didn't have those options.
That's a very interesting complete review. You actually answered all the questions I had on the chair and learned information that no one else provided including the manufacturer's site itself. Thank you ! Funny that the spacebar on your keyboard is a bit uncliped on the left in this video ^^
Hi, great review! I got my Sayl around 2 weeks ago and I noticed with the adjustable lumbar add on that it tends to slide downwards quite easily. I quite literally catch it all the way at the bottom multiple times a day so as a result I need to put it in place again, usually after an hour or two. Does your lumbar add on move easily as well?
Hey pal, if you get the version with the fully adjustable armrests, you can push them back and perch yourself on the front half of the chair to play guitar and it's fine. Hope tht helps.
Hi, I just got this chair and I do like it, however when I adjust the seat pan forward it has a slight movement to it (like a wobble) of maybe a centimeter. Does yours have this too?
@@Dipscovery Thank you for the reply. I think mine has a bit more play to it than normal and when I adjust myself in the chair I actually feel the seat moving which I don't think is acceptable for this price point. I'll see what I can do about it :)
@@namvo3909 yeah, only differences are the colours you can pick. It's physically the same chairs, but gaming edition from herman miller's site, you cannot spec with lumbar adjustment.
@@Dipscovery yeah I know it has the same features minus lumbar. Mine was delivered yesterday. The key difference is color patterns. Gaming Edition, vibrant colors are assigned to the seat back. Gives it a unique wow factor. I ended up getting the red and black. It’s so sexy!
G8 review, but, bruh, all the "cons" you mentioned are literally almost not noticeable things...this is if you have worked 10 hrs a day for many years on a 100 usd chair...
Actually, it entirely depends on the individual suffering from tailbone (coccyx) pain. I used to get a lot of pain in lower back and bottom when I had a cheap office chair from office furniture land. When I upgraded to the Aeron, the pain completely went away. I can sit on it for hours and when I finally get up, I feel absolutely no pain whatsoever. The mesh on the Aeron is amazing for me.
@@simocancia Did you get tailbone pain from a different chair or has this issue developed from doing something else? The Embody has really good back support, even supporting the tailbone region. So either you need to try and adjust it to fully support your tailbone or maybe you might have a different issue that would require physical treatment.
Hi pal, thanks. I'm about 5ft 7. My desk height is 60cm, which allows me to have my feet at 90 flat on the floor, there is still. About an additional 4inchs in the seat stand to allow for taller people. I think you may be fine.
It’s a 12yr warranty not 10yrs. I have the Logitech Embody and the Gaming Sayl for my wife. We sit in our chairs 12+hrs per day 5 days a week and we love our chairs. They are super comfy.
Hi, its not removable. But tbh i dont think you would miss it, it has good lumbar support in its shape already, i don't think having the extra makes much difference really. Just makes it abit more rigid.
Hey I got my Sayl two days ago and its been hurting my lower back, do you think this is just an adjustment period for my lower back? Are there any tips you have to alleviate this. Ive already dialed it all in to the ideal "ergonomic" variables, seat being flat on the floor etc.
Hi, i did not have this issue. But yes could just be you getting used to the ergonomic nature of the chair especially if you didn't have an ergonomic chair before. Did you get the adjustable lumbar support?

My friend also bought a few chairs from them, and he did have some issues with the chairs. They have a great after sales team, so they helped him out without any problems.
I have a very specific question: when you lean back with the tilt locked to vertical, is there any give before the tilt "bottoms-out" so-to-speak? I am trying out a Steelcase Series 2 right now, which has some give, and I find it a bit irritating.
Thank you for the review! One of the best reviews of the chair. I have two questions about the chair if you could help answer: 1. How good would you say the chair supports your lower back? I know you mentioned that the lumbar support isn't really needed but given that you have it, how good is the support for the lower back? Have you experienced support for your lower back since you got the chair? 2. For the Herman Miller Aeron, a lot of people said the seat can be uncomfortable for those who want to sit crossed-legged due to the lip of the seat digging into their legs/thighs. Is this also true for the Sayl? Can you sit crossed-legged without having the seat dig into your legs and thighs?
Hi, glad you found it useful. The lumbar support makes the area with the lower back abit more firmer and rigged, I have not experienced any lower back pain while using it, and i've been sat on it for 8 hours a day every week. From my knowledge most complaints of the aeron seated lip are due to its material and construction of the seat pan, the Sayl has a completely different seat pan design with a cushioned seat you wont have any issues sitting cross legged. Hope that helps.

The negatives are objectively minimal. If that's the worse you can say about this chair then it's a pretty damn good chair.
How does the seat feel over time?
Feels the same, no issues
How is the chairs Padding holding up since this video?
Is the additional lumbar support removable or is it fixed onto the chair?
