Hello! One question, A couple of you talked about HM embody making your shoulders to move foward and making it not suitable for working through the time. Is it that bad? Because is a lot of money for not being able to be confortable for 10+ hours right? What does Embody have to justify the ×2 price in comparison with the ergohuman gen 2? Does the price difference worth it? Thank you
@@btodtv Why haven’t you tried it yet? I mean you literally sell chairs for a living. It would make for a hell of a lot better video than monitor arms or cable management 😂
Had an embody for years, if you are a tall & skinny person it works great. If you are muscular, fat or generally wide - its far far from S tier. The seat doesn't move enough or have independent tilt. Arm adjustments are great, but far far less important that the base adjustability.
I'd love to see three things for sim racing: 1) Locking swivel. 2) Arm rests that move out of the way or are easily removable. 3) Mounts for bass shakers, even if it's just metal threaded inserts that require 3d printed adapter mounts. I mean, if they're going to make chairs that look like they're suitable for racing, then it should have at least one feature that make them better for racing. I've only seen two companies support any of these features, and it's Monstertech and AKracing with their swivel lock. Have you tested chairs from either of those brands with the swivel lock feature?
Gold comment: rightly, if the manufacturers offer these chairs at such high prices, niche players must also be caught by those who don't have a real rig for simracing and are looking for a solution in a chair for possible use in simracing.

Aeron Size C for sure. Others don't even come in separate sizes. I have size B and feels like the edge touches my shoulders at normal tilt. On full back tilt my shoulders go lower than the edge. On full tilt it's one of the most comfortable chairs ever tbh.

I'm curious about the defects you found on the Destrier. What were the issues? I got mine last month I think, and the height adjustment is simply not working. Tried two different lifts, it didn't fix anything. The seat can go up, but can't stay at the proper height when I sit in it.

Overall yeah I agree with you that its the only racing style gaming chair I consider buying, if I were to get a higher end chair it would most likely either be embody with headrest or that fern chair looks nice so long as I can have fun moving around into about different relaxed positions.
i bought a secret labs titan in 2024 and its my favorite chair. It is a lot better than the 2021 or 2022 secret labs titan. I also have a herman miller Vantum and im only a few days into using it. Overall if one were to buy only one chair i would pick a titan over the vantum for sure. I also have have a Noble Hero chair that is very similar to the titan.
Ooof. Bought one of the F tier chairs a couple years ago, and have been really frustrated with them over the last 6 months. Having been my first gaming chair, it's good to know that it isn't just me.
Nice video, very interesting! I have been using a Titan Evo from Secret Lab for years for work + gaming and it has held up very well. And as someone with 3 cats - it's highly resistant to scratching too, heh. Good stitching. I have the "SoftWeave" (fabric) configuration instead of the faux leather shown here and I actually like the firm seat. But yeah, I'd love for the back not to be so rigid. They have come out with improved armrests and I may try them out. It is pretty neat how they are swappable. The rocking action on the Titan is very smooth as well. I did open up the chair to apply dialectic grease and the squeaking and creaking never came back. Overall I would like to eventually get a more conventional ergonomic chair, but the Embody just isn't it for me. Maybe the Steelcase Leap one day.
I have the Titan Evo, tbh its a very bad experience for me, give me a lot of pain in my legs/thighs maybe its not short enough not sure whats the issue but ye sever pain in legs is what i am dealing with
@@ging3815 Sorry to hear that! I used to experience discomfort wherein the edge of the seat would cause friction on my thighs, although I do not experience that anymore. Either I got used to it or the seat softened up a bit. It's too bad we can't adjust seat depth
The fake leather one would probably get scratched all the way through the fake leather with a single scratch. I sometimes damage one with my nails, let alone sharp cat nails.
Something not mentioned about the Aeron, it's actually GREAT for console gaming! (or any control based pc game) You can move the arms inwards and it's a great restring position for your arms while you hold the control I also have the Embody (at work) and can't do the same
Thanks for the detailed review, I have a COUGAR TERMINATOR and yes, I think the seat is a bit narrow. The design is cool, but can you recommend any other chairs in the same price range?

Hi @BTODtv , what would you recommend for me (183cm 6ft) (143kg 315 pounds) with a headrest? Job (Developer) and nighttime gamer. Thank you for all your videos btw :)
See if a chair doesn’t have anything for my head to rest against, it can’t get higher than a low C high D Like it’s actually a MUST HAVE feature for me That one you put in S could be the best chair ever, but I ain’t bothering ESPECIALLY AT THAT PRICE. Over $1k??
I have an Embody Logitech with an Atlas headrest and that is a godly chair. I will never buy another chair until this one breaks. Then I'll buy an identical one. Great for working and gaming, I couldn't be happier.
I bought my embody chair for 1300 bucks once it’s setup it’s perfect. Now that chair costs 1800 euros here I’m glad I bought that chair at release thank you Logitech!
1:46 You can see that Ryan tries his hardest not to burst out laughing on the Cougar Terminator. Seriously man, how can a company come up with a name like that and not being like "wait a minute, something sounds terribly off here". I mean i myself even start to question that thing all together just by the name of it. What's the actual purpose of the Cougar Terminator? Is it Gaming, is it Office, or is it something toooootally different? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Greg I know you're reading this. Try and get your hands on a new steelcase karman with the extended back + headrest please. Shouldn't be too hard for you guys in the US to do that. Would love to see a review. Cheers.
I actually prefer all those firm ones that they hated lol... to me the firmness of the butt spot is the #1 factor for me. Working long hours on a soft pad is probably terrible for you long-term, you want firmness...
For 2k I expect near perfection, if not perfection. To many people with a gripe with embody(loud cheap sound when moving, armrests not good enough, plastic webbing hits you thru fabric, etc). But its subjective... So I'm just going to goto a HM store and sit in one. If it doesn't present "near perfect" I'm walking. I am not going to try it out for 2 weeks. Same goes for steelcase, 1400bucks. I expect near perfection for any chair over 1k. Now having said that. A customer of mine had a Aeron in his living room. I had to sit in it.... I was highly impressed. But I know that chair is not for me, only good when in a proper position. Which felt great. Any time I moved from that, it felt horrible.
I’m starting to wonder if these guys are just really biased and don’t offer her real feedback because they literally put the titan in the same position as the Asus chair and the Asus chair is way better ergonomics
the titan is a really nice chair. have you used either chairs you've mentioned for a prolonged time? or have you experienced a titan from a recent year?
Personal best gaming chair tier list I recommend as someone with a bulging disk that managed to recover with these: 1) Standing desk 2) sitting on a fitball 3) if you absolutelly need to sit, cut a semi-circle to your table to rest full weight of an average 15kg/33lb each arm to eleviate this weight from your spine. Physics people, any chair that is comfortable means you are relaxing your muscles and your body weight goes to the pasive body ligaments of your spine and discs. You want healthy sitting, you need something that engages your glutes, abs/core and upper back, that is not possible with a char. You cannot buy your health or get rid of lower low back pain with any expensive fancy chair, that is just marketing and our lizard brains thinking that aquirering things will solve our problems.
Why cant they make chairs that allow feet to touch the ground? Seems like every chair you guys demo, your toes are barely touching the ground. I find this to be true of most chairs for myself as well- and im 6'1".
all that these videos have told me is that there is not a single chair that is perfect or ideal for me yet. I like to sit criss cross or on my foot a lot so I know side bolsters are no go and that mesh seats are likely not ideal. Maybe the lamia hybrid will be the way to go? I don't know. Really hard to decide. Spending $500+ on a chair is just so hard for most of us that if you make the wrong call in the end you have to eat that amount of money while being disappointed in your decision. This is tough.
Putting the destrier on C tier is a crime against humanity. It is minimum B if you like mesh seats and your head fits the headrest om the lower stable positions
I keep seeing review after review with the Herman Miller Embody being ranked so high over its competitors. Yet, it comes with no headrest, it's noisy, and from what I've heard, you can't even lock the recline on them if you want to lean back... Where this product have so much merit in terms of being highend, stylish and good for the posture, I think it fails on its lack of basic features you get from the most basic gaming chairs, which is a shame...
It doesn't have tilt lock because it has tilt limiter which is a higher end version of tilt lock. The Embody has far more ergonomic features than a typical gaming chair; it's not even close. -Ryan
Not sponsored or anything but stating because if your huge like me, you would want to know. E-WIN Flash XL is a good affordable fit if your over 6'2" 300 lbs. Gaming style but has a flat seat and minimal bolsters. Its not a Herman Miller, this would be for people having a hard time finding an option around 600 bucks that supports oversized humans.

@@NaudVanDalen I imagine even the genuine Napa leather version would get ruined over a single night of being left unattended with the cats 😿
Something not mentioned about the Aeron, it's actually GREAT for console gaming! (or any control based pc game)
You can move the arms inwards and it's a great restring position for your arms while you hold the control
I also have the Embody (at work) and can't do the same
Huh anda seat kaiser 3 not included?
Thanks for the detailed review, I have a COUGAR TERMINATOR and yes, I think the seat is a bit narrow. The design is cool, but can you recommend any other chairs in the same price range?
Whats wrong with secretlabs policies?
Not a fan of them making you promote their chairs on social media to get the full warranty and their return policy is more costly than some companies since they charge return shipping. -Ryan
Hi @BTODtv , what would you recommend for me (183cm 6ft) (143kg 315 pounds) with a headrest? Job (Developer) and nighttime gamer. Thank you for all your videos btw :)
See if a chair doesn’t have anything for my head to rest against, it can’t get higher than a low C high D
Like it’s actually a MUST HAVE feature for me
That one you put in S could be the best chair ever, but I ain’t bothering ESPECIALLY AT THAT PRICE. Over $1k??
I've been watching your videos for gaming chair recommendation these couple of days, and boom, you upload this! Many thanks!
for me the embody is missing a headrest
I have an Embody Logitech with an Atlas headrest and that is a godly chair. I will never buy another chair until this one breaks. Then I'll buy an identical one. Great for working and gaming, I couldn't be happier.
Is it good for listening music?
@Alcordor I don't know, I guess? I generally listen to music on my bed, so I dunno.
Paying over 1k for a chair is yeah...definite NO.
could you please mention your height and weight when you say "to small for me" ? :)
Greg I know you're reading this. Try and get your hands on a new steelcase karman with the extended back + headrest please. Shouldn't be too hard for you guys in the US to do that. Would love to see a review. Cheers.
I am reading this…haha. I will try -Greg
I actually prefer all those firm ones that they hated lol... to me the firmness of the butt spot is the #1 factor for me. Working long hours on a soft pad is probably terrible for you long-term, you want firmness...
No Recaro?
I have a Winston Porter it's not bad
tell me why a chair is $2000
For 2k I expect near perfection, if not perfection.
I immediately unsubscribed as soon as I saw Titan in there
@@0OlSxJyA that makes you sound sillyn
the titan is a really nice chair. have you used either chairs you've mentioned for a prolonged time? or have you experienced a titan from a recent year?
@@0OlSxJyAany reason why I’ve been debating on buying one?
Yea I ain't ever paying over 600 for a chair I can't justify it.
If i was a chair I’d be scared of these guys
Just what i needed. Thank you so much
so what your saying is the best chairs are $2000 hunks of plastic.. O_o.
Exactly! -Ryan
Oh I love these brutal lists! It's stuff like this that will push the gaming industry into making better products, dunk away!!!
Personal best gaming chair tier list I recommend as someone with a bulging disk that managed to recover with these:
1) Standing desk
2) sitting on a fitball
3) if you absolutelly need to sit, cut a semi-circle to your table to rest full weight of an average 15kg/33lb each arm to eleviate this weight from your spine.
I don't understand what you guys are doing with this video not having the Andaseat Kaiser 3 on it. The Vertagear Trigger is also a viable mesh option.
Not sure adding a couple more D or C tier chairs would make this list all that much better. -Ryan
Why cant they make chairs that allow feet to touch the ground? Seems like every chair you guys demo, your toes are barely touching the ground. I find this to be true of most chairs for myself as well- and im 6'1".
That’s wild you guys don’t like mesh. I much prefer them over fabric and leather seats for better cooling
all that these videos have told me is that there is not a single chair that is perfect or ideal for me yet.
Bros when their pillow doesn’t stay zero kelvin for more than 17 hours at a time: 😡😡😡😡😡😡💣💣💣💣💣
I keep seeing review after review with the Herman Miller Embody being ranked so high over its competitors.
-Ryan
Why is no one talking about noblechair?
All that money for these chair and I didn’t see a single one that seemed comfortable for me
I’m looking for a chair where i can lean my head back comfortably while reclining
You guys definetely should grab and try METTA Yoga 4D Free
Not sponsored or anything but stating because if your huge like me, you would want to know. E-WIN Flash XL is a good affordable fit if your over 6'2" 300 lbs. Gaming style but has a flat seat and minimal bolsters. Its not a Herman Miller, this would be for people having a hard time finding an option around 600 bucks that supports oversized humans.
Should be tier list of chair you need a bank loan for. anyways for Canada.
