I'm really not sure who to pick between the two but after talking to their father after me and yen finish our unicorn love making. I choose to help hjalmar 1st and I forgot why 'coz I like Cerys character when I first met her in the feast, take note I don't really know any of thia two since I didn't watch any spoiler videos about their quest so after my rescue of hjalmar and his crew immediately did the crys quest then from them I decided who to support for the crown. I concluded that Hjalmar will be a great warrior that suitable for a war because that's what I saw from our fight with the Giant and how he survived that long in that Island but I choose Cerys because She have a brilliant mind, calm and have a strong will on her own, she's not afraid to ask for some advice first then form her own decision after it. She can sure lead a nation like Skellige to a better future while I don't think Hjalmar can do a much better leadership than that since always seeks power through strength and battle and leading your country to a war is not a great leadership IMO.
Choosing Hjalmar is just....so wrong. Everything about the quest goes against Geralt. He doesn't rush into things, that's literally what Witchers are taught. And Hjalmar will make a horrible king, rushing into things and making impulsive decisions. Skellige is doomed under him

I didn’t like that they showed the man as dumb and the woman as bride seems rather political/ sexist to not choose her. I think that was the intention that no one would pick a women. But therefore I don’t like this quest cause of its political background and making the player choose between the smart and the dumb one is not really a good choice. Especially forced with the mark „ women can do everything cause they are smarter“
Most people don't understand why Hjalmar is the best choice. It has nothing to do with gender. It has everything to do with Skellige. They need someone who will bring glory to their shores. He is the clear historical choice to make. Someone who embodies the spirit of the isles. Also Cerys claims to be a patient person and yet in all of her actions besides the very last quest she appears to be as hot headed as Hjalmar. She's very insecure and is constantly prodding Geralt while trying to prove she's better than everyone else. She fails to do anything worthy and Geralt essentially solves everything for her. Without Geralt she would be a laughing stock. Hjalmar got his ass saved by Geralt too but he had the intuition to be a leader and the stuff required to go forth and conquer. In time, he will gain experience and wisdom and become an effective warrior king. With his father guiding his actions, their clan will go on to thrive. Cerys will always be prejudiced against despite the unrealistic injection of postmodernist feminism that seems to bubble to the surface occasionally. She never proved herself. She doesn't have the intuition to be a leader nor the physical presence to be a warrior. She's never demonstrated her patience. And the few prescient moments she had were afforded to her by Geralt and seemed unnatural to her character. She's highly insecure. She's not the stuff leaders are made of, sorry.
Also, it's retarded how the writers/designers made the quest only truly solvable if you support Cerys and make her queen. It should be equal. I thought that was point of feminism. Not to make women superior, to make them equal, right?
Arthur Rimbaud Well the quest isn’t completely solvable with Hjalmar because he doesn’t want to investigate, you see his actions in this video, he just cares about the clan’s shame. He doesn’t investigate unlike Cerys, he automatically finds the people responsible. That’s Hjalmar for you, acts first, then thinks. It’s got nowt to do with feminism.
I would say it depends on third war's winner if northern realms wins skellige would thrive with a person like Cerys. If black ones wins, hjalmar or the other guy would be a perfect leader for jarls in battle.I see your point tho I just dont like the game pushing people to pick one real choice and left other ones like bad ones.
@@DevillJin Also remember that sheissupported by brother & father, all three complete eachother nicely. Didn't help Cerys and Hjalmar, so Svanrige could became a king - Honestly very poorly written quest, it's like all goes around Cery (She is strong, and smart and Hjalmar just strong, and opinion of Svanrige you never hear). Like writers pushing you to choose her :/ And this type of push quests are quite many in Witcher 3
Hyajmar is the best i think keeps the fangs sharp. Cerys makes them sheep ripe for the taking. She is best as minister which she is for being king i prefer someone with cohonas. And he even though king comes to help Geralt at kaer Moren. Cerys gives excuses. I'll absolutely prefer to have a king who doesn't hide behind excuses and has cohonas. The only problem is the age old question " who do you punish, the finger or the trigger ". Always the trigger. If there was anyway to get it done with Hajmar would have done. With Hajmar you get a strong King, Cerys takes the behind the stage delicate task of management which she is good at and the duke is there to reign in Hajmar. And Hajmar had a huge crush on ciri in the books. Keeps things on for next installment. 😘 P.S. Most of you who support Cerys also let triss finger nails be pulled out didn't you. LoL
Picked Cerys because of Geralt’s personality. I just think he’s the type who will investigate the crime scene first than run into nothingness.
Same. Cerys has the wit, Hjalmar has the muscle. Geralt has both but wit comes first.
exactly, witchers are basicly bad ass detectives that track monsters, source of curses and criminals in that realm

I just used the jedi trick to tell him and his buds to fuck off. The whole fighting was meaningless as he is weak as fuck, he should use his man power at home lol
so if you choose hjalmar you and these npcs wont find out that birna did all that?
As awesome as hjalmar is, he serves better as head warrior than king
i was watching a witcher playhtrough and cerys became king but i wanted hyalmar to be king to keep traditions and wage war on nilfgard
Having chosen all three, Svanrige and Cerys are the only two choices.
And in my opinion, Svanrige's ending is far better.
But nobody picked that path their first playthrough unless you didn't help Crach's children.
We all chose Cerys.
john sosebee Didnt even know that lol I always do all the missions :v
Svaringe actually becomes a totalitarian. He is almost as bad as Radovid.
@@whitenos not at all. He is actualy a very wise ruler. Declares wars when needed and improves where improvments are needed. the only down side for Skellige is that there is a initial civilwar to stop these reforms. But then again any reforms are 90% met with bloodshet ( just look at real history )
I've been playing with Polish dub for so long English sounds almost alien to me.
He is basically Ragnar
day man not even close, the sister if anything resembles Ragnar more. The brother is more like Rollo
you daft. Hjallmar is more Rollo than Ragnar. Ragnar's wits is his highest feat, his calm demeanor into solving problems and countering the enemy. Cerys resembles Ragnar
He is much better than Ragnar
What armor is that
temerian.
Turns out Svanrige would be the best king possible
thank you. I see very little people post about this
what is that armor you are wearing in this video? thx
SiMeOnUDD its the first dlc one, temmian one i think it is
Body Pen dafuq u talking about? Its temerian
Without a doubt
Svanrige is the best choice
I don't care about the quest
We should sacrifices for badass like him
he will make Skellige the most stable and longterm improvments. Combine that with a Dijkstra ending and you have yourself a Mega chad Northen realms
What armor is that?
Temmo Rijken not sure how much its been upgraded but its the feline witcher set.
Gagz Johal thats not the feline witcher set its the upgrade version of the default armour you started with at the beginning of the game
Temmo Rijken Nope, that's the temerian armor
Players who crowned Hjalmar, why?
not a lot of people know this but if you choose to not interfere you will have an interesting result, like if you know what i mean.
Firs play through. Came here to see what would happen if I'm stupid enough to pick Hjalmar.
I'm glad I chose Cerys.
Choosing Hjalmar is just....so wrong. Everything about the quest goes against Geralt. He doesn't rush into things, that's literally what Witchers are taught. And Hjalmar will make a horrible king, rushing into things and making impulsive decisions. Skellige is doomed under him
I came here cause I could never choose hjlamar
Pretty damn stupid this one
Hjalmar just seems like a general not a king
Cerys it the best choice
Svanrich is in my humble opinion
@@dutchministryofdefence604 he gets the islands in a war they can't even hope to win it's time for thinking outside the box and Cerys can do it
@@plamenivanov92 you gota think bigger than that. I am doing a playthrough were Dijkstra takes over the north. Dijkstra always talked about smart aliances. Gues who they both are at war with?. If you take a ending where the North loses, then yea Skellige has little chance the momment they land.
@@dutchministryofdefence604 in my last play i wanted the horse so i made Ciri empress and i have one principal i allways play Blood and Wine last so that can be the end of Geralt's story he just retires whit Yen
@@dutchministryofdefence604 what can you advice me about the Wispering Hillock should i free or kill her
They only reason I choose her was that you would not find some hidden rooms. I don’t even like her and don’t thing she would be the better king
I chose Hjalmar because Vikings always raid, cause chaos, true warriors. It's a no brainer.
Hjalmar??? If you choose him i think you will also want wars before peace...sadely
Skellige culture wise this guy is the best choice. He fits the culture. Cerys is smart but wasn't made to lead the clan.
Real ones pick Birna’s son, Vanrige. He ends up as the best leader.
I just can’t bring myself to choose Hjalmar. He’s a great character but I much prefer Cerys
Hjalmar must be the worst candidate for a king in the game by a large margin.
he was the right choice i never liked her
THIS GUY WOULD MAKE A TERRIBLE KING,
Everyone who chose Cerys -- are you ready to elect Elizabeth Warren as our next president? I am ;-)
No. We did it for the extra skill point lol
Arthur Rimbaud What’s the quest design got to do with feminism?
I already wrote about it.
Both of them were worst 2 candidates in my opinion XD
Chose the woman since she at least had some sense even tho no king qualities
@@DevillJin Also remember that sheissupported by brother & father, all three complete eachother nicely.
Bro & dad can teach & support her when it comes to war & battle, while she has the brains and patience to deal with the rest.
Also SPOILER
If you make Ciri empress of Nilf, she doesnt get fucked over by them since Ceyrs bro straight up declares war on Nilf.
then go with Svanrich. Dont intervine. Svanrich wil declare war on Nilfgaard and stabelise the kingdom in reforming it into a absolute monarchy and centralising its goverment causing les unrest
Never realized how nbad Witcher 3 sounds with English dub
It’s fine
What do ye thunk is be'er?
Sorry, but if you chose to help Hjalmar rather than Cerys, you chose wrong.

@@yeis2248 🤭
imagion not siding with Svanrich
😘
P.S. Most of you who support Cerys also let triss finger nails be pulled out didn't you. LoL
